Book now or later? International China airlines based flights.

Looking to fly RT from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Chengdu, China at end of December.

There are only two direct flights(little over 4 hr each way) on the dates I am looking at. Sichuan Air is around US$650 and Air China US$900.

These seems pretty high.

On another post, I was informed prices are lower for flights within China as travel dates get closer as one way flight from Shenzhen to Chengdu was over US$400.

Does this apply to international flights as well?

TIA

Buy limit order not filled and save me some money

I do not trade very often but entered a buy limit order that did not get filled even as the price of MU went lower!

This went on for almost a minute and I had to refresh my screen few times to make sure.

Cancelled order and bought at market for a Lower entry price.

Is this normal?

First time seeing this as limit orders did not see such huge delay.

Bank of America Travel portal not showing dates in 2027!

I have BOA PRE card. Am trying to book a RT ticket for international travel with points (20% discount with PRE) but calendar will not display anything past December 2026! Anyone else seeing this?

Is there an alternative website to do travel bookings for BOA?

TIA

Shenzhen to Chengdu —plane or train.

First time flying within China.
I need to get from Shenzhen to Chengdu (one way) and noticed the cost are around the same .

Economy flight: $379. 2hr 35 min
Train: Business class $340. 8 hrs.
Premium first class: $280

Given the time difference and cost, it makes more sense for me to fly.

$379 for a 2hr 35 min flight seems high. Is this because of the fuel shortage?
The trip is later in the year so not looking to book now.

Thank you

Purchasing trip delay/cancellation insurance with Flights in Cap1 travel portal.

Anyone ever bought trip delay/cancellation insurance for flights booked on Cap1 travel portal?

What have been your experience?
Insurance is through some third party and appears if your flight is cancelled or delay for more than 3 hours and you cannot find a suitable alternative, they will refund you even if your flight is rebooked by the airlines—say the following day.

I have upcoming international flights at the end of the year with connections and seriously considering purchasing for the first time as I can see airlines cancelling flights and seats.

I have venture X and have never ever had to file any claims for luggage lost/delay etc.

Use of hotel credits restrictions?

I have Bilt Obsedian with $100 hotel credits and $200 Bilt cash. I know hotel credits are only usable each half of year at $50 per reservation and I can also apply $50 Bilt cash per reservation.
I moved to Bilt 2.0 in February 2026 from Bilt 1.0 .

Question.
Do I have to book hotels and complete my stay between Jan-June and June-Dec? Can I apply these hotel credits(two nights per booking to meet requirements) for travel outside of these dates? Eg one booking in November 2026 and another in December 2026?

TIA
