Looking for a good place to stay one night 2 seniors and a small dog. HINTON most likely, this Sunday.

Any recommendations for an Airbnb or hotel? I figure Jasper will be above my price range so that’s why I’m asking about Hinton.

MEDIEVAL MADNESS at Pigeon Lake this weekend. Bring CASH. Indoor and outdoor fun.

I’m not the host. Last year was really good. There is a big indoor facility as well as tents outside. You can dress up but you don’t have to.

Medieval Madness EVENT this weekend at Pigeon Lake. Bring cash for vendors. Dressing up is optional.

I am NOT the host so can’t answer a lot of questions but this is the third year.

Dressing up isn’t required but they have daily costume contests with cash prizes.

There is no ATM on site and sometimes internet isn’t great in the building so I strongly suggest bringing cash. Food will be available but the Village at Pigeon Lake is very near.

This is at the Lakedell Hall on Highway 13, 1 hour SW of Edmonton

Sylvan lake restaurant owner seems unhinged. A lot of comments from him attacking employees as well.

Posted here because I can’t find a legal group for Alberta law and saw the one about the truck yesterday

Art show Saturday July 4, 10-4, in the Village at Pigeon Lake. Sound on

The Village at Pigeon Lake is a cute tourist destination with restaurants and shops. Once a year there is an art exhibition and sale featuring local artists.

The show will be in 2 rooms, with a special exhibition of art dedicated to the lake, and a guest potter, in one of the rooms.

My employer called me in for a Meeting Tuesday after noon. I’m not thinking I’m being fired but need to be prepared. I don’t want them to loophole me out of anything

Alberta. I’ve been at the same job for 10 years. Problems only started recently as the boss hired a friend a couple of years back and that person causes drama but the boss will take her side.

So I’m not necessarily thinking I’m getting fired it may just be a discussion to hear “my side of the story”. BUT I need to be prepared in case they suggest “we part ways or something”.

I don’t want to say anything that would potentially mean they don’t have to pay me severance.

So I believe I can’t say “I quit” and need to let them fire me? Is it just two weeks severance I’m entitled to? I don’t have any contract. It’s not union. No HR. I know they break a lot of labor rules so don’t trust them to be fair (for example they try to send people home before the end of a 2 hour shift but that’s not relevant to me).

RCMP investigating shooting of baby feral horse in Kananaskis | CBC News

The UCP don’t consider these horses as wildlife so even if the shooter is caught the charges won’t be as severe as if they had shot a deer or pet horse.

Unfinished acrylic painting. I’m looking for critique on the FRAME. Should I paint it black? Has anyone done that! Or another color?

I’m looking for critique on the frame. Painting is smaller, acrylic, not finished.
