2nd week no weight loss

Tomorrow is my third week on 2.5 dose. I know it’s very early on but just weighed myself, shot due tomorrow, and a 2lb weight gain not loss? First week I lost about 5lbs (I know some was water weight) so why the change this week? I did the same exact thing as last week. I track both my calories and protein closely and I am hitting at most 1500 a day for calories, which i struggle to get that high some days, and between 80-90g of protein a day. I track water and I hit 100oz a day minus one day where I only had 80oz. I’ve been consistent with going to the gym 3 days a week for weight training plus 1 day for a 1-2 mile walk on treadmill and a yoga class. Is this normal in beginning? Should i talk about bumping to a higher dose?

Edit: I’ve had no side effect so far, no constipation it has actually made me more regular. Also taking the shot not oral, which I’m getting through a local weight management clinic not online.

Blood pressure change

Hi I’m 31 and a bit of a hypochondriac so not sure if I should be anxious or not. I just started GLP1 injections so blood pressure is checked prior and weekly now. Last week my blood pressure was normal (can’t remember numbers but docs said was good) by both glp1 place and had just a physical and blood test done by fam doctor day before and everything good and normal. Today, a week later, glp1 place does blood pressure and it’s high on bottom number. First reading was crazy high like 120 something then did again and number was 104. Again flagged as high. Is this a cause of concern? Should I wait for next week reading? I did have coffee literally right before and a little less water than I have been having the day prior, can these cause the high reading for today? Thank you

What was the first fan fiction you remember reading

I’ve been here since before the dawn of Ao3 and was probably way too young at the time. But always such a funny and usually cringey thing to think back on. For me was probably a Kingdom Hearts pairing lmao. I didn’t even play the games really but a sibling did and remember thinking oh those two boys should be kissing. And now here I am years later lol. How about you?

Late but finally watched last season

Just finally got around to watching the final season and was not impressed with mostly what others have pointed out already.
>!Spoiler!< Like how did Kate and Brontë survive in the end. Like ok bring back one character who audiences may have thought was dead before (Marienne or whatever) I can see but doing it like 3 times in one season was a bit much. I also didn’t like how everyone got their happily ever after ending essentially. Obviously except Joe, but going into the season I felt you had to know he was either going to die or get caught at the end. I wish they kept Kate dead and audiences could imagine or even do a spinoff, which I don’t actually want or think they should do but the thought of the what’s ifs would have been cool, of how Henry grows up. Kind of continue the cycle or play with the idea of nature vs nurture of a sociopath with how having his mom(s) dead and dad a convicted serial killer affects him growing up. Idk just felt overall was a gimmicky way to wrap everything up in a neat little package.

Steam room

What’s good a timer for a steam room? I don’t want to risk anything expensive like my phone or Apple Watch. The one at my gym does not have any clock or timers in there. Would just a cheap waterproof one work? Thanks

Getting back to the gym

Hi! I’m a 31F and starting back in the gym and on a weight loss journey. Plan is 3-4 days a week to start with maybe a yoga or cycle class thrown in. I want to focus on strength over cardio. I just don’t know where to start. I see workout plans online but like how many exercises do you do a visit? How long do you spend working out? Do most people break it up by days, so upper body one day, legs another and abs another? Again just any help on building a schedule and plan on what to do I feel clueless and overwhelmed. Thanks!

Edit to add: my goal is not getting crazy muscular or anything. Really just to keep muscle tone and stop a lot of muscle loss with weight loss.

Hashimotos maybe?

I have no clue what’s going on with my thyroid and I feel no doctors have helped. So like 10 years ago or so a routine lab result showed hypothyroidism. I was put on Levothyroxine for a year or so but then I moved states and had to find new doctors and stopped the med/lost prescription. Found new doc and they did again regular blood work and said no your thyroid levels are fine and so stayed off meds. A few years later a new doctor (I have moved a lot lol) did routine labs and said thyroid levels are off other way and show hyperthyroidism and with history of hypo she thought hashimotos or something and ordered a full panel. Did that and levels I guess fine or didn’t show? So years later still about a year or so from today I had a neck ultrasound for swollen lymph nodes and those were just reactive but they noted a “heterogeneous thyroid” and to test with panel as could be result of damage. Doctor didn’t mention or flag that at all so nothing has been found out or tested again. I guess my question is can you have something wrong with thyroid like hashimotos but not always showing up on tests? Can whatever detectable levels change so it’s missed?
I’ve had a list of symptoms that seem to have periods of intensity and then go away for a while which have never been answered that I’m not sure if related, such as:
- coming and going swollen neck lymph nodes with no obvious infection and testing showed just reactive
- sinus pain with no infection or drainage
- ear pain and itchiness and tinnitus
- neck pain and headaches
- I have a lot of joint/muscle pain in upper body (some is probably from job related strain) but like shoulder pain and upper back and forearms and elbows and hands, basically upper body is rough.
- super random itchy skin with no visible rash or anything that comes and goes with no obvious reason like from allergies or something
- changing temperature sensitivity like sweating easily and too hot when it’s not very hot, randomly super cold, etc.
Again not sure what’s going on with me lol. Thanks!

health anxiety obsession

I have bad health anxiety and I’m definitely a hypochondriac. So I know that a lot of what I believe or worry about is actually not an actual issue but my anxiety. I know this but obviously knowing and stopping the anxiety or convincing my brain is another thing. My newest fear that is driving me crazy is that I am convinced I have some sort of brain issue. Like somehow developing early onset dementia (which does not run in my family) or like a missed mini stroke that’s caused damage you name it. And the funny thing is I have had a head MRI for headaches I was having like a year or two ago and everything was completely normal with my brain. The biggest trigger, and i’m sure my anxiety and my hyper awareness are making these “symptoms” way worse, is feeling like I am losing my social skills or thinking ability. Like I am struggling speaking by mixing up words or pronouncing things wrong or forgetting words. Even with reading or writing I feel I am overthinking it so much that I am convincing myself I am forgetting how to read or write correctly. And logically I am not really I don’t think. Like when I am relaxed and not worrying about it I read totally fine and speak normally. So I know this is probably all in my head but also why is it so hard convincing myself that and to chill the hell out. This is exhausting.
