Whenever I am on the last page of a chapter that is setting up a twist or escalation in the plot, I can't help myself and peek at the last line at the chapter end. Granted it is just a couple of lines to get there but it feels like there must be a solution to this 😂 Sometimes I physically block the page and go line and by line to the bottom if I expect something major coming. Anybody else do this? Please tell me I'm not alone. What do you guys do?

When he says "Gillie might take a stick off a p***y like they was transitioning" he could have easily used the pronoun "he" before "was transitioning." But he chose to honor their pronouns while dissing them. Truly a neutral ally.
