How would you create a remake or sequel to Shrek Super Slam?

Would have been great if it were to be released around the same time as Shrek 5. For new additions to the roster I would include characters from the other films such as Farquaad, Rumplestiltskin, Merlin, Kitty Softpaws and Death. For DLC I'd include other Dreamworks characters like Alex, Megamind, Hiccup, Po and BOB and stages like Berk, Madagascar island, Metrocity and Jade Palace which could include hazards like the dragons.

CHALLENGE: How would you improve Robots (2005)?

I genuinely like Robots for its animation, creative worldbuilding and social commentary. However, I think if the film's release had been delayed by a year to give more time to iron out the flaws in the script it could have been to Blue Sky what Spiderverse was for Sony Animation and won the animated oscar (albeit since 2006 was a weak year for animated films).

I would have fleshed out the rusties more, especially Lug and Diesel. Fender is a tricky one as unlike Aladdin, the writers didn't really know how to play to Robin Williams' strengths and to be fair I don't either. I'd remove the romance between Rodney and Cappy since they have no chemistry, instead make them just friends which I think would be quite refreshing. If the film does want a romance, maybe have it be suggested between Rodney and Piper.

What are your own suggestions?

What would be some good sci-fi creator battles?

Some of my ideas

  • George Lucas vs Gene Roddenberry (yes I know that in reality they respected each other quite a lot)
  • Gerry Anderson vs Ray Harryhausen, to make it funnier I think Gerry should be a puppet and Ray should be a stop motion figure.
  • Mary Shelley vs Bram Stoker, alternatively a battle between Frankenstein and his monster vs Jekyll and Hyde could work
  • Jules Verne vs HG Wells
  • Frank Herbert vs Isaac Asimov

Who do you think would be a good opponent for Alan Moore? Another iconic comic book writer or an anime/manga writer?

Mumen Rider (One Punch Man) vs BMX Bandit (Mitchell and Webb)

They have no allies like Saitama or Angel Summoner, just themselves. What would be the outcome in these scenarios:

  1. A regular fight where they can use their own bikes.
  2. A fight with no bikes or other cycling equipment such as helmets.
  3. If they swapped bikes.

What if Obi-Wan and Yoda trained students while in hiding?

During Order 66, Tera Sinube and some younglings are on Illum building lightsabers. Yoda warns them to stay hidden. Nari (based on his age in Obi-Wan Kenobi I'm guessing he was a padawan during Order 66) arrives at the temple around the same time as Obi-Wan and Yoda, lured there by the beacon and is saved by Kenobi who tells him to stay hidden on Bail's ship.

After failing to destroy the Sith, Kenobi takes Nari as his padawan with him to Tatooine while Yoda and Tera take the younglings to Dagobagh as they figure that if anything ever happens to them then their students (who I reckon should achieve the rank of knight by the time of the OT) can train Luke and Leia. I think it would keep Yoda and Kenobi in better physical and mental health so by the time of the OT they're in much better shape.

What impact would it have? I think it would be interesting how Nari and the younglings serve as a transition between the old Jedi and the new.

When Bilbo meets Gollum in his cave he quickly makes up a false name and homeland. When Gollum is interrogated by Sauron would he realise that Bilbo was lying? How would it affect his search for the ring? If Gollum is able to describe what Bilbo looked like would Sauron be able to narrow down the race to hobbit? Did Sauron know anything about hobbits?

For example Chicken Run uses a lot of dark and grungy colours to reflect the harsh oppressive environment of the farm inspired by POW camps which also helps the chickens stand out more, showing how they don't belong there. It makes it all the more satisfying at the end when they reach the bird sanctuary that we finally see brighter colours.

The Incredibles is another one of my favourites. The prologue uses very warm colours. When it cuts to the present day all the colour is literally sucked out of Bob's world e.g. the grey office cubicles with the only spots of colour being his home and family. Colour returns when Bob resumes hero work.

I was pretty disappointed that the new timeline starting in MK9 didn't last very long as I thought there was a lot of potential so I would have extended it. For each game I'd also make a few changes to the roster and DLC.

Mortal Kombat 9

I'd include Rain in the story and I'd add some villain chapters.

For DLC I'd have 2 packs with 8 characters total: Skarlet, Kenshi, Michael Myers, Leatherface, Tremor, Fujin, Alien and Predator.

Mortal Kombat X

Instead of a time skip the story takes place shortly after MK9. Raiden and Fujin stay on Earth where their powers are strongest to slow down Shinnok's army and are able to restore some of the revenants. Bi Han returns as the enforcer of the Elder Gods. He seeks to make peace with Scorpion, restore his brother and Smoke and end Sektor's (who has allied with Shinnok) reign.

The other heroes travel to the different realms in search of allies including Outworld. Shinnok is secretly behind the Outworld Civil War as he seeks to weaken Outworld so he can immediately invade it after Earthrealm. Kano is selling weapons to Mileena while Tremor (who joined the Red Dragon after being betrayed by Kano) is selling to Kotal. Sindel seeks redemption for her actions (no being evil all along) and leads a dangerous mission into the Neatherrealm where she's able to restore more of the revenants.

A restored Liu Kang defeats corrupted Shinnok. Scorpion and Bi Han make peace with each other and go off to restore their clans. Sindel finds out Jerrod is inside Ermac and the two rule over a free Edenia. We get a post-credit scene teasing Dark Raiden.

I'd choose as the guest fighters: Freddy, Jason, Ash and Pinhead.

Mortal Kombat 11

Takes place 11 years later. The characters now have families but obviously they're still kids so they're not playable yet.

At the start Shang Tsung has successfully restored his body (albeit in its aged form) in the Neatherrealm which is in the middle of a civil war. Shang Tsung is able to take the throne of the Neatherrealm. Raiden leads a pre-emptive strike on the Neatherrealm and forces Shang to swear allegiance to him. Partially thanks to Shang's manipulation, Raiden takes a more aggressive stance towards the other realms. This catches the attention of Havik who is delighted at the potential chaos. Havik and Shang are able to manipulate Raiden into attacking Outworld. Kotal Kahn starts a new Mortal Kombat tournament to protect Outworld. The Earthrealm characters end up fighting amongst themselves with some allying with Raiden and others opposing him. Dark Raiden is the final boss. At the end he's defeated and brought before the Elder Gods to face their judgement but many of the heroes are killed. Fujin becomes Earthrealm's new god. We get a post-credit scene teasing at Onaga.

I'd have the same guest characters as what we actually got but I'd also potentially have another Kombat pack which includes Pennywise as a guest. I'd also have the support for the game last longer as I think MK1 came out far too early, I think NRS should have been allowed to work on another game like Injustice 3 in the meantime.

Mortal Kombat 12

Takes place 12 years later and the Kombat kids are now playable. At the start Mileena (who has been in hiding since the end of MKX and has a child with Baraka) takes advantage of a weakened Outworld and overthrows Kotal becoming the new empress. Her victory is short lived as Onaga returns to reclaim his throne. Shang Tsung allies with him. Onaga revives some of the characters killed in MKX and MK11 as his warriors. Raiden is given a redemption arc that ends with him seeing the error of his ways, apologising and sacrificing himself to defeat Onaga. When Onaga is defeated Shang stabs him in the back and absorbs his soul.

Mortal Kombat 13

MK13 is the finale to the new timeline and features Kronika and the past and present merging. Since we've seen more of the new timeline more is at stake. One potential idea I had for the final boss is Shao Khan or Shang Tsung backstabbing Kronika and taking her crown, becoming the final boss. I'd delve more into Kronika's motivations and how her constant efforts to rewrite history drove her insane.

I'll say that the 4th Crusade either doesn't happen or it bypasses Constantinople. The Western European powers see the conflict between the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires as an opportunity to cripple both. When Constantinople is besieged the Crusader army waits until the city is sacked by the Ottomans (I'm guessing that the Byzantines put up a better fight as they weren't weakened by the 4th crusade in this scenario) and then they attack the city while the Ottomans are exhausted from taking it.

How likely are the crusaders to win? If they do take the city would they successfully hold onto it or would the ottomans take it back? How does this affect the Renaissance and the Silk Road?
