Semi-spherical bearings
New to me used wheelset. Noticed the freehub was moving a bit strangely. Dual inner bearings were exploded. All bearings split in half 😅🫠

Hi all, had a friend gift me an old bike of theirs and as I’m tearing it down for a rebuild, I’m seeing the fork has been twisted a bit.
Since it is an old steel frame Peugeot I thought I’d see if a local shop can give me a hand with getting it back right.
Any ideas? King Kog? Hilltop?

Hi all! Free bike here.
Wanting to find an integrated seatpost for this beauty, but struggling to find one for this 24mm seatpost size. Found something for $70 in Germany, but hoping for something stateside.
I know they are rare and unusual sizing, but any suggestions? Appreciate the help as always.
Edited to note-
Getting a full tear down restoration at the moment. Isn’t my first resto rodeo, but first dealing with a 24mm seatpost. Measured it with a caliper and notably smaller than a 26.8mm stamped post nearby that I can verify on the same caliper tool.
In an older garage, haven’t ever seen anything in it.
Appears to be two spring tabs that something slips into with a 90degree turn maybe? About 1.5-2” inner diameter, but no screw-in type machining like a standard bulb.
Multimeter comes this weekend but just unclear what would go in here.
Appreciate any help!
Hello!
My flight out of Charles de Gaulle was cancelled last Thursday after a full day in the airport. We arrived at 830am for our 12:15pm flight in case passport control was doing its thing. It was delayed several times and finally cancelled at 5pm.
My only question is to see if there is any additional compensation to ask for or expect? I’ve seen conflicting accounts of whether or not we should expect some sort of cash compensation for the trouble.
The staff was courteous and kind considering the monumental effort of getting everyone rebooked, I just want to make sure I don’t leave anything on the table.
Thanks for your time!
Interesting shoe! Stiff soles, reinforcement for straps around the mid foot. Laces cover as well.
Should be a fun match for my old Cannondale anyhow.
Almost wide enough for my 12.5/13 Wide ass clown feet.
Hi all.
Using Mavic’s page to check the serial number and still having trouble.
Trying to definitively identify the wheelset to order upgraded bearings after the squeal of death has reared its ugly head.
I think it’s a Cosmic Carbone SL, but I can’t find a matching hub profile.
Any help?
SC32592479 is the serial. “Kit road rim (documentation unavailable)” is what the Mavic serial search comes up with 😅
Originally with a cracked fork, beat up Zipps, mismatched cranks, and frozen brakes, it’s been on the road as my fast bike now for about a year. Still can’t decide on bar tape 😅
Defy Advanced SL 1. Loving it so far. Wish it was a different color.
Ah yes, another hub conversion question.
(Picture 1)
Picked up a set of 9 speed Ventos a while back for my Cannondale project. It is a 12mm steel axle setup with a 27mm freehub ratchet area. The corresponding Campy Freehub has three pawls with single springs in a 27mm diameter circle.
(Picture 2)
I first purchased the Campagnolo FH-BU15x1 R1137138. While this fits the 12mm axle, the ratchet/Pawl diameter seems to be 30mm. The three pawls are held by a single spring in and indentation that wraps the circumference of the ratchet side. Incompatible! Nuts.
I purchased part #R2107113 listed as a direct 12mm axle conversion, but I can’t see if the ratchet size is the same 30mm too large size or not.
TL;DR Does anyone have any insight on these part numbers?
