Hikes with swimming holes?

I'm getting ready for my family's annual trip to Branson, and I'm looking for some new activities. Specifically a hike or park with a swimming hole. We've done the waterfall trail below Westgate a couple times. It was nice, but I'm looking for some variety and a different swimming hole.

Any recommendations?

My wilderness coffee station

I take my stove and Handpresso when I go on outdoor adventures. This is backcountry skiing in Yosemite National Park on top of Illilouette Ridge, ~8300 ft in elevation. Espresso made with freshly boiled Sierra snow.

Wiring help

I'm installing a new motor and capacitor in my outdoor condenser unit of my AC.

The old motor had a single black wire for the line voltage, shown here as the black wire plugged into the terminal going vertical.

The new motor has two bare wires for line voltage: black and white.

I want to make sure that I will wire the new motor correctly.

The bare black line voltage wire should be screwed into the lug where the current black wires are plugged into the terminals, and the bare white line voltage wire should screw into the lug where the red wires (condenser and capacitor) are currently plugged in.

Am I correct, or will I fry everything?

Uneven battery drain

I’ve had my Instinct 2X solar for just under two years, and I have noticed an uneven battery drain for the past several charge cycles.

Initially, the battery life would decrease evenly throughout the 40 day charge. Depending on use and solar exposure, the battery life would decrease by approximately one day every day I wore the watch. Recently, however, the battery drain has been quite erratic.

At the start of every charge cycle now, the battery drain is no longer even as before. As soon as the watch hits 50%, or 20 days remaining, the battery life decreases very rapidly. Even without any activities or tracking, the watch can lose 3 to 4 days of charge every single day.

Has anybody else experienced something similar? I’m wondering if my battery is reaching end of life. Two years seems very short for the useful life of the watch battery.
