Giant Super Mario World map(s) finally completed
About five years ago I made the SMW overwold map. I was super pleased with how it turned out, but I had the passing thought “man it would be a massive undertaking to do all the sub maps as well.” fast forward to about two months ago, when I decide to do the massive undertaking. Time, as it so often does, eroded away any misgivings I had in my slightly younger days. that brings us to today. where many hours, a sheet of plywood, several spent posca markers, and about a gallon of resin, has produced this love letter to my nostalgia.

Doesn’t get much closer than this

Hot at the odyssey
Went to see the 6pm XD showing of the odyssey, and by about hour two of the film, it must have been 90° in that theater. I don’t know if it was the packed house, or if the AC was on the fritz, but it was absolutely sweltering by the end. Don’t get me wrong, It was good, but a three hour Christopher Nolan film, loses a bit of its charm when you’re sticking to the leather seat. Maybe just bring a personal fan if you plan on going this weekend.

Help finding a replacement for a generator battery
I am looking for a replacement for a battery for a wen 4800 generator. Is anyone aware of a replacement that might work? The official website is sold out, and my local batteries + couldn’t help. I know I probably won’t find the same form factor. But something close would be fine.

Made this memorial for my girl I lost a few weeks ago
Lost my 19yo girl Adi to heart failure a few weeks ago. I got the ashes back recently and decided to make this to memorialize her. It’s made from resin and laser cut plywood. I mixed her ashes and some fur into the resin before I poured.

What trailer hitch to get
I have a 23 ridgeline and I love it. I have never used it for towing, but I thought it might be a good idea to have a hitch on hand, just in case the need arises. Can anyone suggest an appropriate trailer hitch, size/brand, for my situation?

Had to say goodbye to my 19yo girl
I had to say goodbye to Adi last night. At around 11:30pm I noticed that she wasn't walking, her breathing was labored and her front leg wasn't working right. I took her to the emergency vet, and after an X-ray, they determined that she had heart disease, her lungs were filled with fluid, and most likely had thrown a clot to her front leg, causing nerve damage. The vet told me that at her age anything we did would cause more harm than good in the long run. So at around 1:30am I said goodbye to my girl I had for 17 years.
