How to study solidworks as a 1st yr mechanical engineering student

How do I install it on my PC? I heard that most are paid versions. Are there any free versions or alternatives similar to SolidWorks available so that I can build a portfolio of my simple SolidWorks projects? I really want to study it during this vacation. Also, is there any free SolidWorks certification course available?

Need help: Free SolidWorks certification + how to install SolidWorks for practice (beginner student)

I’m a first-year mechanical engineering student(india based) and I’m just starting out with CAD. I’m planning to learn SolidWorks for my future internships and SAE related projects.

I had a few doubts and would really appreciate guidance from people who have experience:

1.Are there any free certifications or courses for SolidWorks that are actually useful for interviews or internships?

I’ve heard about CSWA and other certifications, but I’m not sure what is free and what is paid.

2.I want to start learning SolidWorks on my HP laptop.

Is there any legal way to install SolidWorks for free as a student?

Any alternatives or trial versions I can use for learning?

Any other ways to start practicing if I don’t have official access yet?
