Came across a term called Alpine divorce. Has anyone experienced this?

Alpine divorce basically means a partner that abandons you in a remote, dangerous and unreachable setting. This happens during a mountain trail, hiking or trekking.

I came across a line, "Do you trust him enough to go on a hike with him?" - and it kinda made me question a lot of things lol.

Has anyone experienced being abandoned by their partners like this? Did you see a different side of them that you would never have if you hadn't set your foot out in the wild?

How did you overcome it? Did you confront them?

I mean its appaling to me that the person who was supposed to be there for you, can fail you in such situations.

Can we really ever feel safe?

Read an article about a man called Asad Hussain who created a fake tinder profile of his ex and sent almost 18 men to grape her. He created her profile in which he portrayed that she has grape fantasies. Men would show up at her door.. ring the bell.. break her windows.

One time her teenage daughter was alone upstairs when such thing happened. He even faked his name and identity while dating her. As far as I know, she did inform the police and is not harmed but the amount of deceit in this case is appalling.

I mean we say not all men... but these 18 men just proved that its all men?

Like women aren't safe even in their homes. It's just crazy.

Can't give your address to a bf cause what if he turns out to be a psychopath ?

How do we keep living like this where we are always scared and worried.

While writing this i also recall the recent case where men made groups on how to make money off their drugged wives by graping them and making videos off it. A woman who was a victim and a witness said something in her petition that really shook me. She said, " As a woman i am always worried about being alone in the empty parking lot.. or on a deserted road or a back alley or while using a public restroom. I We always have to be alert and scan around to see who is looking at us or following us. It never occurred to me that I had to worry about the man I share my bed with too. "

I'm just terrified. Like can we really ever truly feel safe?

Yutori

I'm a dark cloud,

put to rest

by summer skies with

bubblegum aftertaste

I'm a cherry blossom tree

a petal fallen in winter's tea

a fleeting moment, a celebrated goodbye

leaving a river as a souvenir,

in this spring's pretty eyes.

I'm a spinning top,

meant to let go

an entertainer, tied to a rope

waiting patiently for a throw

watch me spin around ,

watch me put up a show

see how gorgeous I look

when I'm freed like falling snow.

"I taste freedom in this summer breeze.

It taste like sticky caramel popcorn. "
