These two should have interacted more

Nakamura and Mukai didn't interact much both in the manga and anime, which is a shame because I think they would be good friends. Even during the restaurant episode, both Mukai and Takeuchi didn't talk to Nakamura. All we know is he is a cool guy that likes to play games and hang out with friends and is actually smart and gets good grades. Mukai is pretty chill most of the time so I think he'll eventually find out about Nakamura being gay on his own and even then I don't think he'll blab about it to anyone [hopefully].

Look at them sitting next to each other during the field trip! ☺️

Best part of Episode 13

For me, this moment is the best part of Episode 13. This moment showed Nakamura fully 'going for it', saying to Hirose that he can tell him anything he wants and that he can talk with Nakamura whenever he feels like it. It's just... beautiful, because before this episode, Nakamura was always so nervous and doesn't open up much to Hirose [with Ep 6 the exception], resorting to imaginative scenarios. So, seeing him now pushing himself to be more honest and open is so... cathartic.

Also, notice throughout the episode there was no instance of the usual Nakamura 'delulu' moments; he even tried to wake himself up back to reality when Hirose was 'unintentionally' flirting with Nakamura, saying that he would watch the romantic movie with Nakamura only + he thought watching the movie with Nakamura will be fun.

How to improve Clinical Clerkship?

Hello! I just want to get everyone's thoughts on how to improve the system of clinical clerkship to maximize learnings for the 4th year medical students.

In my experience, most of the things we did are history taking and physical exam, vital signs, vital signs, skills, vital signs, typing abstracts and CF4, and vital signs of course. I mean, I learned lots from clerkship especially the skills, interviewing, and PE, but I can't shake the feeling that the current system can still be improved. Some residents are willing to teach, but some also are too tired to teach, hence some sort of standardization should take place so that we don't fully depend on overworked residents.

Let me start the discussion by proposing that med schools should actually teach clerks how to write properly in the chart, how to compute for fluids and medications, troubleshooting of acute problems, you know, stuff that are needed as a hospitalist. I acknowledge that residents and departments are already swamped with work, hence this initiative should come from the medical school itself, but yes, there is a lack of manpower for this kind of undertaking.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this topic. Any input is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Where to enroll as non-degree student for math courses in QC?

Good day!
I plan to enroll in Master of Statistics program of UP Diliman in the near future. I know it will be an uphill ride since my undergraduate program is not related to mathematics; hence I plan to enroll as a non-degree student first to take up the courses Precalculus, Calculus 1, Calculus, 2, and Linear Algebra.

Ask ko lang po kung saang universities po within QC pwede mag enroll as non-degree student? I checked UP Diliman, and sabi dun they take non-degree students for 1 semester only. The other option is ADMU.

May alam pa po ba kayo na university/college open to non-degree enrollees? Or if you have any experience as a non-degree student? Any input will be highly appreciated. Thank you!

My favorite scene from Episode 10

This is my favorite part in Episode 10. At the restaurant, Hirose made sure Nakamura didn't feel left out by him and his friends' interests/hobbies. At this point, Nakamura was just drinking his coffee and taking notes because he can't relate much to what they were talking about and wanted to research it, all for Hirose of course. Hirose then looked at Nakamura with concern and glanced at his empty cup. He offered to get a drink for Nakamura but then Takeuchi and Mukai asked Hirose to get them refills as well, to which Hirose seemingly looked annoyed.

Now, this whole scene is where I'm most curious. First, I find it touching that Hirose probably noticed Nakamura not talking much even after trying to integrate him with the group, hence the concerned look, because he wanted to know Nakamura more based on Hirose repeatedly asking questions to Nakamura if he likes this or that thing. Second, Hirose only offered to get a drink for Nakamura, not his other 2 friends with him, and when the two jokingly imposed, Hirose kinda sounded annoyed, which (for me) shows he treats Nakamura differently, in a good way, from Takeuchi and Mukai. Lastly, the entire scene didn't have background music, so it kinda looked like that the scene was made to be serious.

I know it's only for a few seconds, but this whole scene is very interesting. Overall, the episode showed development between the relationship between Nakamura and Hirose and hoping these two will eventually end up in a deeper relationship, most likely a more-than-friends-less-than-lovers kind of relationship, but if its more romantic that would be even better.

[UPM] Kamusta po ang MSPH Biostatistics sa UPM?

Good morning po. I just want to ask kung kamusta po MSPH Biostatistics program ng UPM College of Public Health for those who took/graduated the program? I'm planning po kasi to take this program in the future, and I want to learn more about it:

  1. Is the program very VERY heavy on mathematics? Do I need to take math pre-requisite courses to better prepare?
  2. Would a graduate of the program able to offer statistical consultation in their future work?
  3. What job opportunities are there for MSPH Biostatistics graduates?
  4. Which is more advisable: thesis or the non-thesis track?

Any input will be highly appreciated. Thank you po!
