Is it an unpopular opinion to say I don't think Steve O seems like a bad guy?

(At least in this sub?)

I mean look, the dude isn't perfect obviously.. but he's a hell of a lot better than I feel people on here give him credit for.

He's surprisingly self aware, tends to admit when theyre wrong more than most people I know will, and is pretty open.. Like, almost too open.

He's made some stupid comments innthe past. Like remember his video game comment? Sure that was dumb.. but he even admitted so. I'm gonna hold some 50 year old guy accountable because they made a stupid comment on video games 5 years ago that they apologized for? Dude, my mom probably thinks the same thing.

People online cut people zero slack, and it's goofy. His biggest problem that he causes for himself is that he's wayyy too open, and tries to overexpose himself way too often. (Aka attention whore) Especially during promotion - too many podcasts, too many appearances. If your conversations were public like his are, no shot in hell that you wouldn't make a stupid comment here or thee that you regret. Of course you would. We all would, it's human. Problem is, that a podcast is on camera in front of a hundred thousand people,(if you're famous) so it's amplified.

Steve seems surprisingly open to admit when he's wrong, and genuinely seems like a sensitive person who's not trying to make the world a worse place.

On drugs he certainly was an a hole... But idk, I think he seems like a good guy these days, with flaws. He makes stupid comments and stupid mistakes. But I don't think in his heart he's a cruel person, nothing close. Plus it seems like he's genuinely bothered with himself when he feels he's done wrong, said something wrong, etc.

Plus, I can only speak anecdotally... But I met him in 2022. He was as absolutely kind as I could ever imagine. He treated me like I was a friend of his, while I was over here like what the fuck dude, it's Steve O.. lol. Very very fond memory and moment. I think a lot of people who've met him can attest the same. Can we just appreciate this man while he's still with us?

Why can I not downgrade to filmora 12.5?

Every time I use the site to downgrade, it just automatically installs filmora 15. It's so, so frustrating when youre on a tight deadline, decide to give the new software a chance, realize it still sucks, and now its pulling teeth trying to go back.

Filmora 15 is so brutally laggy and slow it would literally make the work I do take twice as long. i do not want 15.. For some reason, its not letting me downgrade. Anyone know a workaround?

Anyone else feel bad for Ernest Timmons?

I mean it literally wasn't even his fault, and people make a joke out of it. His friend set him up and you're fucking laughing.

Confidence is the most important characteristic you can have, for any aspect of life

Confidence is what drives you to do anything. Literally anything.

You drive to the store? You're confident that the mechanic who worked on your car was competent. You're confident that the tire won't fall off. You feel (because of probability) confident that you won't get into a car accident.

You live in a house? You have to have implicit confidence that the roofs not gonna cave in and kill you at any moment.

Applied to career - you will only ever pick a career you feel confident you can succeed in.

I made a post a few days ago, that everyone should follow their dreams. This is inextricably connected - you have to have confidence that things will work out. Confidence can almost be interchanged with "faith" in this aspect, or at its most naked, "trust".

You have to have confidence in your grand dreams. Confidence in yourself.

If you don't feel confident in your wildest dreams, then you have to feel confident in whatever job you choose. Work in an office? Think about how Many assumptions you make on a daily basis, things that you feel confident in, maybe unconsciously.

You have confidence in the car you drive. You have confidence that you won't have a stroke on any given day, or some sort of major health problem. (Because if you believed you were gonna die today, why the hell would you be at work amiright?) You have confidence that the coffee machine isn't going to explode. You have confidence your coworker won't try and murder you.

I believe we make predictions based on probability, and our percieved probability dictates our confidence.. but the key is "percieved". That's subjective.

Apply that from small scale to big scale. People who go for big dreams in life have confidence that they will succeed. Otherwise they wouldn't try. People call this idea naive, and thats effectively saying "you have misplaced confidence in said goal"

I believe confidence is the most important Ingrediant to anything in life - including over rich parents, IQ, etc. (Within reason of course, before someone comments like "what if you are trapped in a concrete box and thrown in the ocean" or something) Because confidence is a prerequisite to do literally anything, including getting out of the bed in the morning, where you assume you won't fall and cause a brain aneurysm.

Everybody has trust in something

Any love for 50?

50 cent, one of the most underappreciated (in my opinion)

He was huge, probably one of the most famous rappers for a brief period. These days, he seems more of a novelty... more of a troll than rap legend.

Personally, I think you can count on one hand how many rappers came out of the gate with a better debut and follow up. (Hot take, i think, but the Massacre is my favorite 50 album)

I was born in 02, and my brother is 8 years older than me, so I quite literally grew up on that Aftermath era.. I remember playing the Massacre CD in my PS2 when I was, I don't even know how young. Before Kindergarden.

Same with Get Rich or Die trying. That speific CD (the red album) holds a lot of sentimental value. That's the actual CD that I had since a kid!

Anyways, just a love for 50 / G Unit post, peace! ✌️

Everybody should follow their dreams

I believe everybody should at least try, in some manner, to follow their dreams.

No, life is not a Disney movie. Yes, things get in the way. Yes, life is not an equal playing field. You might get cancer. You might become paralyzed. You might lose both of your parents in a freak accident. I am not trying to undermine how difficult life can be for anyone in any way.

Pursuing your dream is like exercise.. can everybody do it equally? No. Will you always have enough time to do it every day? Probably not, at least not constistently. There may be days where you flat out don't feel like following the plan.

But if you choose not to exercise? It affects you and you only.. And only you know, in your heart, if you could've made more of an effort. Some random idiot online can't tell you that. If you end up with an amputated foot from diaaaabtees(dont want to get post removed), no amount of reasoning that you had no knowledge of proper food prep, or no time to exercise, etc. will regenerate your foot. You are, unfortunately, stuck with the consequences, even if you aren't responsible for them.

You are the only one who knows if you made a true pursuit towards what your heart wants, I can't determine that.. But I believe everybody should try.

Maybe a time limitation, maybe self-consciousness. Maybe you're afraid of your friends laughing at you. Maybe you're afraid of failing. There's a million reasons why people hesitate / "give it up."

I think we have one life, and it's a short one at that. You're a kid, and then you wake up one day as an adult. You wake up with bills. You wake up with a child. One day, you'll wake up with grey hair. (If you're lucky) One day, you won't wake up at all. It will happen much, MUCH faster than we think it will. Nothing in this little life "matters" from that perspective.

Therefore, everybody should give themselves the gift of pursuing their dreams, or at least find a way to integrate something adjacent into their lives. You have to. You owe it to yourself. Make your little blip in this spinny rock's history worth it.

Now watch - as soon as I say this, there will be comments instantly tearing me down, and the idea down. Lots of people who feel like they've given up on the best idea of themselves will feel personally attacked. Understand what it is. Giving up on yourself will make you miserable. Everybody, in one way or another, has to and should follow their dreams, as corny and childish as it sounds.

Please, find a way to start (if you haven't already) today!

Has anyone else notice's what sounds like Willie Nelson chuckle on Whiskey River?

Lol, I've always heard this, and I randomly decided to look it up, and can't find anything online about it.

Am I crazy, or does it sound like Willie chuckles a bit on the second verse (at the line "in my memory'd mind") (roughly2:20 on the recording if you go to YouTube)

I'm talking about the original version on shotgun willie. On the word "memory", sounds like he chuckles a bit. I always hear it and love it, a little artifact of a time when songs were recorded live in a studio, without as much leeway in the way of editing.
