Hello! So glad to find you all, can you help me with my gut mystery?

I’ve lived most of my life with constipation, bloating and trapped wind. ive finally had enough. I feel depressed, scared to eat and I can’t live my life for fear of needing the loo. im really at a low point.

i cut out all gluten a year ago and the constipation stopped completely and stools are now normal. im currently following the FODMAP diet because I’m still struggling with bouts of either trapped wind or excessive gas and bloating which lasts a couple of days at a time and I would love to know the cause.

after 2 weeks of fodmap I've been feeling great. no bloating and very little wind. 2 days ago i introduced a “trek lemon flapjack protein bar” and ive been in a world of pain ever since. the ingredients dont seem to scream a culprit other than soy? could this be whats irritated me? I had bloating a couple of hours after eating it and then gassy for the next day and a half.

any advice would be great, I'm also looking for a handy app for UK based foods that I can scan, or keep a diary of what works and what doesn’t thank you all so much in advance.

Can someone clarify the definitive trophy requirements im confused!

google says different things, for the ps5 platinum (definitive edition) do I need to do all achievements? ie burglary, beat the cock, get arrested 50 times? im working my way through a checklist and it does not mention these but I won’t get all achievements ticked off unless I do them? any insight would be much appreciated!

Seagulls in Jesmond are having my life.

I’ve lived here 10 years, never really noticed them however the past month has been brutal. they circle and sqwark and scream every 15 minutes. it’s starts at half 4 every morning. im just trying to work out WHY this is happening suddenly and what I can realistically do about it? it’s driving me crazy. a lad across the lane from me has started feeding the birds but I think it’s just once a day in the afternoon. any thoughts? I live just off Acorn road and I wondered if anyone else hears it!

I really need your help to work out what my issue is.

hello! im new here! cut a long story short -

suffered for years with chronic constipation and either frequent trapped wind or constant passing wind. frequent bloating and pain too. it was extremely rare for me to have a formed stool (TMI sorry!) I thought gluten could be to blame, I cut it all out overnight.

I started to feel better, no bloating, go to the toilet properly every day, formed stool, little pain. the issue I am having is when I cut gluten I also started eating vegetables, reducing sugar and I quit my 2 cans of coke a day addiction all at once.

I am struggling greatly with my gluten free diet, i have dreams about foods that contain gluten and miss them so much. I don’t know if it was a gluten intolerance OR the amount of crap i was putting into my body. I would like to try reintroducing gluten to see what happens but how do I do this? how do I know what to look out for?

I don’t know a single person with intolerance or celiac so im hoping you kind people might give me some insight into how I should go about this, I need to know once and for all but I don’t have the nerve to just fully eat gluten for 6 weeks to get tested incase I have a really rough time. thanks for reading! HELP!

Front door lock

hello im new here, I just had a thought/question. when I think about Andrew’s case I always revert back to “did he intend to come home or not” and people talk often about the return train ticket. my question is, if he took his house keys surely that meant he was planning on coming home. BUT was the front door the type you could pull closed and it would lock automatically? or the type where you physically need to put the key in and turn it when leaving? he wouldn’t have taken his keys if the door would lock behind him anyway and wasn’t planning on coming back, but if he wasn’t returning he would need them to secure the house. I just wondered if it’s been mentioned before.

THE LUNCHTIME BUFFET

wtf is going on? she’s leaving it til the last minute, eating alone, and barely touching the food? I was interested to see how she would act during meal times but I didn’t think it would be this bad. is she rage baiting an eating disorder or physically unable to eat. people that big her up and don’t show concern are mental. something seriously wrong here, especially since she’s using the gym and doing other sports. it’s basically saying do loads and barely eat and you’ll look like me. absolutely irresponsible.

as another Redditor said in the megathread -

So she didn’t eat at her boyfriends family meal a couple of months ago, she didn’t eat at the baftas with them all around the table, she didn’t eat with Paige for her birthday day out, she didn’t eat breakfast with her boyfriend or family and went to it just as it was finishing, she didn’t eat dinner with her boyfriend or family and went just before it was finishing … is she ever going to address why she’s acting like this?

Am I healing? What’s your experiencing with bleeding and ointment use.

hi all I started diltiazem 3 weeks ago, previously had daily bleeding for months and months. 3 days into the ointment the blood stopped completely for 2 weeks, the area in general feels less tight and no more pain but I’m experiencing fluctuating bleeding. it’s like mixed into mucus and wrapped around the stool. one day no bleeding the next it’s there. not having any pain now apart from wheb I put the ointment inside I feel a brief sting. did anyone else experience this when using ointments? I know I’m not even half way into it yet but I’d really like to hear other people’s experiences with bleeding.

Diltiazem am I healing or making it worse?

hi all 6 years fissure on and off. started diltiazem 9 days ago. previously had bleeding and very little pain every day, 3 days into the ointment I stopped bleeding completely HOWEVER I’m in so much more pain. going to the bathroom is intense and sharp, and I get the 6 hour burning pain afterward. I haven’t had this pain for months since I tore, and I don’t get how the pain is worse but the bleeding stopped….. has anyone else experienced this? I’m thinking it could be tighter from the cut sealing up, but surely the ointment is supposed to relax it? any help would be much appreciated.

hello fellow sufferers!

had a roughly 6 year fissure, decided to get my act together 6 months ago. started laxido and all the other tips suggested on this sub and seen a good improvement (previously bleeding every day, now it’s almost stopped) but I needed to get other the finish line,

doc prescribed GTN but the fear of side effects stressed me out so switched to Diltizem. I’m only on day 6 but it stopped the bleeding, swelling and mucus etc. I feel more relaxed, but yesterday I put the cream inside the anal opening rather than just outside and I immediately felt a lot of stinging and burning. went on all day and this morning when I had my bowel movement it stung badly, not fissure retairing bad but pretty close (currently lying on my side). are you supposed to just put it on the outside? I’m in a world of burning pain right now and I just wondered if anyone experienced the same thing. it feels like I may have touched the fissure rather than a side effect as I’ve no rash or irritating just a deep burning pain. any help or wisdom would be appreciated burning these dark times!
