real-time terrain profile and vertical airspace in new EFB charts
I'm looking for more testers for the new EFB charts.
Flying old school cross-country without GPS or radio. New EFB charts.
How to fly cross-country without GPS, VOR or NDB. Via map, ruler and dead reckoning.
My new EFB addon InfinityCharts is available soonish. For the price of one overpriced coffee!
It creates real-time charts from the sim data, hence no subscription.
Would you like to know MORE?
Would I have survived this landing IRL?
I was dead drunk and went to sleep immediately after, I don't know if I forgot landing gear or if it refused to be deployed
Brazil coast, my favorite place to fly and explore while listening to music
How about some real science?
(612533) 2002 XV93, is supposed to be too small and too cold to sustain an atmosphere. At about 311 miles across — a little wider than the Grand Canyon is long — the object is more than four times smaller than Pluto, which was thought to be the only body beyond Neptune with an atmosphere in our solar system.
Paper IFR charts had never been that useful to me inside the sim. So I thought they should get some overhaulin. This runs in the game EFB, or in the browser on any device. You can click on any element to get a tooltip, which is cool for learning. If you have feedback or things you want to see lmk.
The available charts are good, but I thought they need more detail and features for VFR flying. I've developed similar apps for DCS, so I've ported these into a new MSFS EFB addon, which generates charts from the sim data. Hence, they are always up to date, in sync with the sim and don't need a subscription. I'm planning to add more styles besides US VFR and EU ICAO. Because It's hard to switch context when you fly across the world and have all the different chart formats. So you can stay in your favorite style wherever you go. Let me know what other chart styles you're used to. It also works in browser on iPad etc.
The IFR charts are work in progress, but the cool thing is they are interactive so you can pan, zoom in and out etc. Let me know if you'd be interested or if you prefer real world IFR charts.
