The app is basically unusable

Why? I mean seriously why? A company this big, with so many customers, and so much money, why can't they fix their app? It is so slow, lags, glitches, reloads, freezes up. I'd rather pay more money and just get Amazon to deliver it in 2-5 days than struggle with this infuriating app. They could use AI to rewrite and optimize the app, or hire a coding firm to do it for them. There's no excuse!

PSA: Clean your earbuds

OnePlus Buds have a tiny screen behind the rubber nub. Ear wax gets in it. Mine was sounding bad. Used isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush. Went from bad to can't hear shit. Tried with tape to clear it, failed. Tried again with a super soft tooth brush which could get into the tiny holes and it's night and day difference. You might not even notice how blocked they are.

Anyone ever get into Psychedelic Math Rock?

Trying to branch out into some new sounds and genres. I've begun to explore some trippy older rock bands. Tera Melos, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Jefferson Airplane, Three Trapped Tigers, Battles, The Physics House Band. I was wondering if I'm missing any genres or artists that someone who lives the melodic but complicated and micro tonal insanity of tipper would also appreciate. Culprate is of course great, but I'm guessing there's entire worlds of music that I'm missing out on and I'm hoping that an experienced musical connoisseur can point me in the right direction. Thank you

Custom Launcher?

Just got the armor 29 pro thermal. Have a third party launcher installed. Works good but when I swipe up to go home when I'm on the home screen, it'll glitch out and show me a blank screen. Then going to recent apps, every app shows as blank. Has anyone else experienced this?

External pump for shop vac

So Ridgid used to make this pump. It attached to the drain port of their vacuums and connected to a garden hose and would pump water out, so you didn't have to carry the vacuum to dispose of the water.

It's discontinued, and it appears that the only option available right now is a DeWalt, which is $69.

They have the market cornered for this product. It wouldn't be too expensive to make a generic one, a pump with a housing, adapter fittings, and undercut their price point while still keeping enough profit margin to make it viable.

A few features could even be included that improves upon the design, like a float valve that turns the pump on and off as the vacuum gets full, to make it safer to run without constant monitoring to ensure it doesn't run dry and damage the pump/motor.

Thoughts? Is this such a niche product that it would not sell enough to make it profitable and cost effective?

Did you wait until last minute of the sale to hit purchase?

I waited 13 minutes before the sale ended. I was hoping there was no server error.

Modular AVR system?

AVR are ridiculously expensive, especially brand new higher quality units that are 7.2 channel or above. I am reluctant to drop a few thousand dollars or more into a piece of equipment that could potentially wear out the week after the warranty ends. A circuit board or amp goes out and now you've got an expensive paperweight.

I understand that components go out, but wouldn't it be ideal to have AVR be easily repaired with replacement parts?

Is it possible to build an entire AVR from scratch using individual components?

Like some sort of HDMI ARC pre-amp AV processor that can take an input signal from HDMI, or optical, and split it into individual pre-amp outputs? Then you could get a dedicated amp for each speaker, or speaker pair you have.

If and when you need a newer HDMI standard you could just swap out that component and keep all of your amps. Or even better, just replace the HDMI module on the AV processor, or add an additional card in an expansion slot. You could make a nearly BIFL system.

Unable to connect to WiFi?

I have a T-Mobile 5G home Internet hotspot. I have been experiencing intermittent Wi-Fi issues using steam link via WiFi from my gaming laptop in the bedroom to the TV in the living room.

I purchased some tplink network over power adapters (the kind that route your network cable through your wall outlet) and my speed dropped from 480Mbps to like 12Mbps. I believe the wiring of my home is not conductive for this use.

So I decided to upgrade my WiFi, I saw a almost new Tp-link Archer ax21 ax1800 router at the thrift store, in the box, (the kind with 4 antenna). Connected it, configured it, working fine. Tried putting my 5g hotspot into bridge mode, but there is no option to do so. Tried dialing Wi-Fi on the hotspot but it won't let me. So I disabled DHCP on my Tp-link router. I didn't want two DHCP services getting confused with each other. This new router has a different ssid.

Everything was going great for a few hours, and then randomly in the middle of a game, it disconnects. Not only is my laptop disconnected but also my phone. I do a soft reset, and still can't connect. The router is broadcasting an ssid but refusing to connect to any device. I thought maybe the router and the 5g hotspot had a local IP address mismatch and was causing errors so I tried disconnecting the tplink from the Internet and connecting to the Wi-Fi, but it still won't connect. I'm not sure what the issue is. I updated the tplink to the newest firmware.

Maybe there's something inherently wrong with the router and that's why it was at the thrift store? Or am I overlooking something simple? I haven't tried a hard reset yet, but I'm worried it'll just happen again.

Blade Steel

I'm just now learning about the different steel types for blades. I've acquired a few different budget AliExpress blades, and I can't tell what is real or not when it comes to the steel quality. What can generally be expected? Is it ever accurate? How to determine what blade steel is in a knife? I have one that says M390 and it feels much different than any other blades I've gotten before, it's very smooth and sharp, almost laminated feeling.

Rewatching SG-1 and finding missed episodes?

I'm doing a rewatch of SG-1 season 3, and I've already found 3 episodes I frankly didn't remember ever seeing before. I feel bad because I thought I was a fan of the series and have watched it though several times, or at least I thought I had. But it's also, like a pleasant surprise in a way, new content, all these years later. Has anyone ever experienced this? Maybe I've been subjected to a Tok'Ra memory wiping device.

Anyone able to do IV/sub-cutaneous for a cat?

My apologies if this isn't allowed. I have a 20 year old cat. She's late stage renal failure, kidneys shutting down. Paid the vet a couple hundred for labs. They wanted several hundred more for sterile water and b12 and anti nausea meds to inject subcutaneous to alleviate discomfort. And several hundred more for euthenasia and cremation. Upwards of $1k after everything. I'm hoping to get her feeling a little better until next week when her owner of fifteen years is able to come see her/pick her up. I know the humane society can do euthenasia for $25, much more affordable than the vet. I didn't know if anyone here had the skill to do this or if there were cheaper palliative care options. Poor girl, the blood tests were off the charts for three of the things. She's so sweet and still purrs.

Late stage cat renal failure

Got a cat 17 years old or so. She's been drinking and peeing a lot. Spitting up more frequently. Started urinating randomly outside the litter box. $250 in vet bills to tell me she's not got long, the liver is shut down. Offered me vitamin b12 injections and water subcutaneous injections and anti nausea meds for $180 more. Then $350 for euthenasia and $200 for cremation.

Was considering getting one of those felt replica things to remind of her. Does anyone here recommend anyone in particular? They recreate your cats face from photos? I've seen several of varying levels of quality on Etsy. I am kind of not sure what to do rn.

Okay, so I'd like to create a playlist of songs, Tipper, or otherwise, of ultra-high frequency, almost like static, barely perceptible effects but it somehow does it and creates 3D spacial effects. I know I've experienced this effect several dozen times before, many of which I was under the influence.

I can't for the life of me remember the one song, but I was sitting there in awe, as it built an entire universe around me spatially in 3D, like a hyper-sphere, and then collapsed down to a single point, and then somehow inverted and then opened up again. It ended and I had to stop, and pause Spotify and just contemplate my life in silence as it god-smacked me. Might have come up on a Smigonaut radio station.

Thank you so much if you can recommend a few songs like this.
