What's the deal with Love Island?

Why is it so popular? Isn't it just a reality show?

It seems like people are going absolutely nuts over it - I have several friends who aren't generally reality show people who are OBSESSED with it, watching it nearly every night together (if not every night). Why does it seem so much more popular than a lot of other dating/reality shows?

Most of my examples of people being obsessed with it are anecdotal but I've definitely seen a few videos of people saying like, "here's why I wouldn't be good for love island" type stuff

I don't even know which is more popular or which is the one people are obsessed with, unless it's both. All i know is love island exists, it's a reality show, and people seem more obsessed with it than usual

DAE kinda enjoy scary nightmares?

It's like my own personal horror movie, and even though they're super scary, they're also a little fun. I've had memories of nightmares scar me for months, if not years, from how realistic they felt, but I still definitely enjoyed myself and would willingly go back.

I've never really met anyone else who will admit to enjoying them, so I don't expect this to be particularly popular, but I can't be alone in this

[TOMT] Song that starts with a slow "remember me"

It's definitely NOT the one from coco.

I really wish i remembered more than just this little part - https://voca.ro/1hW9VXOOcbv2 (should be a vocaroo of the little part i remember).

It was a fairly slow, melancholic song, likely a female voice, and probably pretty short.

Mostly acapella, I think, but possibly some light guitar and/or piano. The vocals were definitely the focus, though.

If there was any background music, then it would have started after "me". I kinda remember, maybe, some other voices layering on one another? It could be a vocal arrangement or something like that.

Possible other lyrics are, "when you're old and gray" or similar.

Potentially a church song (I grew up protestant and went to catholic school) or a chorus/choral song from school in the northeastern USA.

I hope it's not like, something a friend wrote and I lost the recording of! I have no other concrete memory of the song beyond the opening two words

not sure if I chose the right flair - I just got the image from the wiki

idk what it is about gideon that makes me so weak man. His voice? His mannerisms? His intelligence? His strength? His generally terrifying but also potentially gentle vibe??? I can't. I'm obsessed. He's probably my favorite character from all the games atp

i don't even want to fix him, i want him just as he is (at least, beginning of game lol)

Most ice cream sandwiches would be better with half as much ice cream

I'm talking the classic, vanilla ice cream between two pieces of cakey chocolate. The vanilla ice cream really just overpowers the chocolate and when there's less ice cream, the balance is so much better. However, JUST eating the cookie/cake part without any ice cream, although enjoyable, is not as good as if there was just less ice cream to begin with.
