Don’t talk shit about each other. We all work in the same place.

Some retail workers really think they can get away with talking shit about their coworkers. They don’t realize the hypocrisy considering the position they work in.

I’m an associate and a former assistant manager always treated me differently. She had the best talks with everyone else, but she would ignore me in conversation, sounded annoyed whenever she did respond, etc. A few months after she quit, my boss told me how she bad mouthed me about how I walk (I’m on the spectrum, so I have a habit of walking in circles). Thankfully, the boss told me how she shut the assistant manager up immediately. But here’s what I don’t get.

This former assistant manager is in her 40s, has seven kids, no spouse, and is also stuck working retail. But how I walk is what made me inferior to her? Girl bye 👋🏻

Friendly reminder to think before you speak ill of your coworkers. I promise you are no better.

Retail has ruined my health.

I turn 29 tomorrow, but it definitely feels differently both physically and mentally.

I juggle retail and grad school (but I’m finally off school for the summer). In the spring, I was working almost 40 hours a week and enrolled in 12 credit hours (9 credit hours is full time in grad school, so I was definitely an overachiever). I had no life from January to June because I also took a summer class.

Physically, I have had a lot of problems. I’ve had chronic neck pain, chafed thighs almost every day, and had extremely high blood pressure (151/108). It was also hell mentally. I often got snippy with my family, had frequent meltdowns in my room, etc. I’m also on the spectrum, so it’s hard for me to stay normal even without the extra stress.

I am now on an antidepressant for my anxiety/depression as well as medication for my blood pressure. I just wish it didn’t get to this point.

AITA for depriving Cassandra’s bladder and hygiene so that I could play my song at the flea market?

Hi everyone! It’s Alistair Marinescu, the gay orphan prodigy grand master vampire multimillionaire singer with 13 distinguished degrees and a penthouse with four swimming pools and two hot tubs.

I recently made a new song called “Vampire Bloom” (a parody of Troye Sivan’s “Bloom”). The flea market was in town, so I thought it’d be a great idea to perform there. When I arrived, I saw Cassandra Goth there playing the guitar for tips (probably to make money after I killed her father Mortimer, tricked her mother Bella into being executed, and writing a book about her to make her lose custody of her little brother). I could not allow Cassandra to steal my moment like this.

I used my vampire powers to deprive her bladder so that she’d wiggle off to the bathroom. I then took out my Grim’s Goulish guitar and played “Vampire Bloom.” Everyone was clapping for me and showering me with $20 tips. Cassandra eventually came back from the bathroom trying to play again, so I deprived her hygiene next. She then smelled horrible and had to go home and shower. I kept playing some of my other songs and gaining more simoleons and fame. It was a fantastic performance.

AITA for trauma bonding with my ex’s offspring?

Hi everyone. It’s Johnny Zest, ex husband of Alistair Marinescu and former stepfather of Alucard-Angelus Marinescu.

When I was married to Alistair, we both became vampires. I was also very close to his non-binary offspring, Alucard-Angelus. We always went to the spice festival together and had long conversations in their bedroom.

However, I let my relentless vampire thirst get the best of me. I would have a continuous cycle of drinking Alucard-Angelus’ blood and then showering them with apologies and hugs. Because we were so close, Alucard-Angelus never seemed to be bothered by me drinking their blood. However, Alistair wasn’t having it. He noticed that Alucard-Angelus was having meltdowns, but I think this was due more to Alistair’s relentless stage parenting, expecting Alucard-Angelus to earn over 30 degrees before turning 18. Nevertheless, Alistair blames me. Therefore, he divorced me, kicked me out of the house, and told me I was never allowed to see Alucard-Angelus again. This hurt both me and Alucard-Angelus deeply.

When Alistair is at work, Alucard-Angelus invites me over, and we always have an amazing time together. We swim in one of the four pools together, I drink their blood, give them my hugs and apologies, and then we sit together in one of the hot tubs. We share some similar tragic stories. My mother, Nancy, disowned me long ago, and Alucard-Angelus’ other father, Marlon, passed away when they were seven. I think this is why Alucard-Angelus is so understanding of me drinking their blood, and why spending time together feels so special. I do, of course, always make sure to leave before Alistair gets home for work. Is this going too far?

Do you think DOA7 will make a nod to Itagaki?

It could be another Aerosmith song, or even just a special thanks to Itagaki in the end credits of story mode?

AITA for reporting Cassandra, causing her siblings to be put in the system and making her ineligible to adopt?

Hi everyone! It’s Alistair Marinescu, the gay orphan prodigy multimillionaire grand master vampire singer with 13 distinguished degrees, a penthouse, four swimming pools, and two hot tubs.

As many of you know, I had Bella Goth executed right before anti-Mother’s Day by killing her husband/my side dude, Mortimer, and using my vampire powers to make her think she was the killer, causing her to turn herself in and request immediate execution.

Bella’s children were orphaned. With their daughter, Cassandra, being the only young adult, she adopted her little brother, Alexander, and started raising him as her own. Alexander is the same age as my child, Alucard-Angelus (but Alexander is still in high school because he’s not as academically gifted as my little AA).

Alexander was always an “A” student, but he recently became a “B+” student. I knew that this was because Cassandra wasn’t helping him with his homework and not because he’s depressed from the trauma of his parents both dying. I wasn’t going to let Cassandra be such a horrible sister mom.

Being a creator of worlds, I immediately wrote a bestseller titled “Cassandra Goth — The Horrible Mother.” I went into great detail about how Cassandra neglects her own little brother, allowing him to fail academically. Social Services took swift action. They put Alexander in the foster system and permanently barred Cassandra from ever adopting a child. Alexander cried and begged not to be put in the system, but I know it was for the best to ensure a proper education for him.

Alucard-Angelus told me it was cruel and that I ruined both Cassandra’s and Alexander’s lives (AA and Alexander used to be best friends before I put AA in private school, so I think they have a soft spot for him). I told AA they’re still a teenager and don’t understand.

Possibly Unpopular Opinion: Zoey was at fault for Sushi Rox burning down.

We all know the episode where Sushi Rox burned to ashes after Chase fell during a delivery. The characters blame Chase and most viewers blame Kazu. I’m here to explain why Zoey was the real culprit.

It was after 9 o’clock. The restaurant was closing up and the stove burner was already turned off. The kids had already been there long enough, but entitled little Zoey asks Kazu to make her a tempura roll. Kazu reminds her that it was after 9. Of course, that’s not good enough for Zoey and she puts on the cute face asking “Please? For me?” Kazu gives in and starts up the burner again. Then after Chase falls, they all run after him and Sushi Rox burns to ashes.

I work in the service industry and there’s nothing more aggravating when people come to buy stuff when we’re already closed. It was plain selfish of Zoey to order a tempura roll after closing, especially since the stove burner was already turned off (it takes a long time to turn the burner on, turn it back off, and clean it).

I understand in the eyes of the law, Kazu was at fault for leaving the stove burner unattended. However, realistically speaking, Zoey was the root of the problem. If she hadn’t ordered after closing in the first place, the burner wouldn’t have been turned on for there to be a fire.

And why was the blame ever on Chase? Sure, he could have made two trips, but when you’re working late, you want to be done. Out of all those privileged kids, Chase was the only one I remember actually earning his keep.

AITA for having my father’s ex over while he’s at work?

Hi everyone! It’s Alucard-Angelus Marinescu, the pansexual non-binary artist, law and med student, and leader of the non-binary band, Theystreet Thems.

As you all know, my father, Alistair, divorced my stepdad, Johnny, for repeatedly drinking my blood. This made me angry and resentful towards Alistair because Johnny has always shown me love and support.

I had already went under Alistair’s nose by getting my band members together at the spice festival to sing “It’s Real” with Johnny in the audience. I took this a step further. Because Alistair works as a creator of worlds (top level in the author career), I started inviting Johnny over while he was at work. We swim laps together in the penthouse’s main pool, sing ballads together at the karaoke machine, and then sit together in the hot tub next to Alistair’s bedroom, where we talk about what has happened in our daily lives. When it’s close to Alistair’s time to get off work, Johnny vampirically runs out. I then video chat with my boyfriend, Noah, to keep me company for the rest of the night. I feel more loved and content than I ever have in my life.

To the customer that stayed 15 minutes after closing.

It’s Saturday night. The worst time of the week to work retail (yes, even worse than Sundays).

We close at 9. My great-grandmother is in hospice with terminal lung cancer and dementia and was being hysterical tonight. I turned the music off a little early to hint at customers that we were closing soon. But of course, little Miss Entitled stays 15 MINUTES AFTER! She needed an exchange, came to the register with stuff she was going to buy, walked off to get the shorts she was exchanging for a different size (maybe she should have gotten it before getting in line). By this time, it was already after 9. Then she tries on a belt taking her sweet time and asked us “Does this look good?” Yes, whatever gets you out faster. She comes back to the register and is looking at other stuff asking about it. The assistant manager finishes ringing her up and she finally gets out at 9:15. We were supposed to get off at 9:30, but we didn’t get out until almost 10.

Customer, you’re a bitch. A selfish, ignorant bitch.

Stop chewing us out in the group text!!

Lately the manager and assistant managers have been berating us associates in the group text. They’ll send a picture of clothing saying, “Who didn’t censor this?” (Anything $19.99 and up needs to be censored), “This doesn’t go here!” “Who took the charger out of the office?” “Y’all need to do better!!”

First of all, you as managers should be keeping an eye to see who’s messing up if it bothers you so much. Second, I know it’s not me doing that stuff because I haven’t even been there since last Wednesday (our hours have been cut). I don’t need to hear all your drama. Third, don’t tell us to do better when you guys are never on time. The manager is constantly late to where she’s not even there when we’re supposed to open. The assistant managers are also frequently late. Who needs to do better now?

At this point since I barely have any hours anyway, I’m extremely tempted to quit. Leave the group text for gentle reminders. Not chewing everybody out.

AITA for snitching on my friend, causing her to miss out on her dream school?

Hi everyone! It’s Alucard-Angelus Marinescu, the pansexual non-binary prodigy artist, student at Simford Law and Medical School, and leader of the non-binary band, Theystreet Thems.

My good friend, Yuki Behr, frequently invites me to various places in Windenburg. For a change, I decided to invite her to Planet Honey Pop where she can watch my band perform.

After we finished singing “I Want It That They,” “It’s Real,” and our new song, “Quit Playing Games With My Pronouns,” Yuki seemed extremely excited and impressed by our spectacular singing skills. That is, until she made the most backhanded comment to the rest of the audience: “Ladies and gentlemen, the Theystreet Thems are all in style!” Hinata, Alexandre, Turquoise-Jade, Shigure, and I all felt shocked and betrayed by Yuki only saying “Ladies and gentlemen,” especially since we are a non-binary band. We weren’t going to let her get away with it.

My band members and I were coming up with ideas to teach Yuki a lesson. Hinata suggested that we all protest in front of Yuki’s house. Alexandre suggested taking embarrassing pictures of Yuki and blackmailing her with them. Turquoise-Jade suggested roughing her up in a boxing match (Turquoise-Jade was in SCA’s boxing club before we dropped out and got our GEDs). Shigure suggested we make Yuki some poorly made pufferfish nigiri. However, we decided to go with my idea. Since I knew Yuki was hoping to go to Simford (which requires a flawless academic and permanent record), I decided to publish a book about how Yuki is nonbinaryphobic. This would ensure that Yuki would get cancelled and have no hope of getting into Simford.

I made sure I was well rested and on the Very Confident moodlet to make sure the book was a bestseller. The book was titled “Yuki Behr — Hateful Mentality.” I went into great detail on how Yuki was deeply prejudiced and completely rejects non-binary people in 2026.

After publishing my bestseller and beginning to receive large daily royalties, I got a video call from Yuki. I thought she was going to apologize for being nonbinaryphobic to me and my band members, but she screamed at me about how she’s all over the Internet, being harassed in the neighborhood, and was personally told by the President of Simford not to apply to their school. I told her she should have thought of that before being discriminatory towards us. I then hung up and blocked Yuki on all social media. Hinata, Alexandre, Turquoise-Jade, and Shigure agree that we made the right decision, and we decided to head over to the spice festival to celebrate.

The regulars that make you take a deep breath when they walk in the store.

I work at Citi Trends, which is one of the few stores that does layaways. I’ve already posted multiple times why I hate doing layaways.

There are some regulars that ALWAYS put their stuff on layaway (even when they haven’t paid off the layaways they already started before). When I see them walk in, I internally yell “FUCK” and have to just breathe in and out because I know they’re going to bring 20+ items and put them on layaway. Or worse, purchase some that day and then be indecisive at the register on what they’re gonna buy and what they’re gonna put on layaway.

There’s another regular that always comes in and tries on each item to get a discount (but she harasses my manager about this more because my manager knows she’ll just demand me to get her if I say no to discounts).

The flip side can be true, though. There are a few customers that are sweethearts and we’re always excited to catch up at the register.

AITA for creating a song and dedicating it to my father’s ex?

Hi everyone! It’s Alucard-Angelus Marinescu, the pansexual non-binary prodigy artist with 13 distinguished degrees and a mixology certificate from Britechester and Foxbury, 7 Master’s degrees and 8 PhD’s from Simford, and current student at Simford Law and Medical School. Leader of the non-binary band, Theystreet Thems.

Something very tragic happened recently. My father, Alistair, recently divorced my stepdad, Johnny, and sent him away for repeatedly drinking my plasma. The divorce impacted me deeply because Johnny and I were extremely close. I didn’t even mind him drinking my blood because he always showered me with hugs and apologies, something I never got from Alistair. Alistair tried to say that what Johnny was doing was abusive and unacceptable. I told him that I don’t care what he says and that I can’t wait to reunite with Johnny someday.

In an act of rebellion, I got my band members (Hinata, Alexandre, Turquoise-Jade, and Shigure) together to make a new song called “It’s Real” (our version of “It’s True” by Backstreet Boys). After a good amount of practice, we performed our song at the Spice Festival (a place that Johnny and I went to together around the time he first got with Alistair). I hoped and prayed that Johnny would be there. When getting to the emotional part of the song, my wish came true and I saw Johnny in the audience smiling at me. I looked right at him when saying, “It’s real/I mean it/From the bottom of my heart/Yeah, it’s real/Without you, I would fall apart.” When concluding the song, Johnny made the heart hands. My wound is healed and I feel at peace knowing that Johnny is still in my life.

(Note from the watcher: I do not condone acts like Johnny’s towards a minor, even in The Sims. Johnny was drinking Alucard-Angelus’ blood without my input and I had Alistair send him away for that exact reason. I am disappointed in EA for even allowing vampire sims to do this to teenagers.)

AITA for divorcing my husband and sending him away to protect my child from him?

Hi everyone! It’s Alistair Marinescu, the gay orphan prodigy multimillionaire grand master vampire singer with 13 distinguished degrees and a penthouse with four swimming pools and two hot tubs.

As many of you know, my husband, Johnny, was forcibly drinking my child, Alucard-Angelus’, blood on a regular basis (and then showering Alucard-Angelus with hugs and apologies, creating a vicious cycle). I was not going to have my child subjected to this kind of abuse. Despite our years of love and marriage, I made the decision to divorce Johnny and kick him out of the penthouse. It hurt both of us deeply, but I cannot have someone constantly preying on my child.

However, it’s clearly not over yet. Alucard-Angelus has been crying in their room, saying that they loved Johnny and would have been happy to share their blood with him every day. Alucard-Angelus said that Johnny showed them the love that they “never got from me.” I’ll admit that I push Alucard-Angelus a bit too much sometimes (expecting them to finish law school and medical school on top of their 7 Master’s degrees and 8 PhD’s). However, I have never sucked their blood. Alucard-Angelus says that as soon as they turn 18, they’re going to move out and live with Johnny forever. I fear that my child has a twisted idea of what love is because of the terrible actions of my ex-husband. What do I do?

AITA for having my teenager go to therapy?

Hi everyone! It’s Alistair Marinescu, the gay orphan prodigy multimillionaire grand master vampire singer with 13 distinguished degrees and a penthouse with four swimming pools and two hot tubs.

My child, Alucard-Angelus, is extremely talented. They came out as pansexual and non-binary, has 13 distinguished degrees and a Mixologist certificate from Britechester and Foxbury, 7 Master’s degrees and 8 PhDs from Simford, and is on track to finish Simford Law School and Medical School by the time they graduate valedictorian from SCA (an elitist performing arts boarding school). They also have the top skills in Charisma, Painting, Photography, Writing, Fitness, Gardening, Logic, Research & Debate, Mischief, Programming, Rocket Science, Robotics, Cooking, Gourmet Cooking, Acting, Comedy, Piano, Violin, Guitar, Handiness, Singing, Video Gaming, Mixology, Fishing, Pipe Organ, Media Production, DJ Mixing, Vampire Lore, Entrepreneur, and Dancing.

With that being said, Alucard-Angelus has the emotion bomb quirk, and is prone to emotional meltdowns. They will cry at random moments, or stomp their feet if practicing something for too long. It has gotten to the point where they will yell at their friends if something is said the wrong way. I am sure this is because of their teenage hormones and not because of my years of relentless stage parenting. Regardless, this behavior is unacceptable and I told Alucard-Angelus that if they want to stay at SCA, they need to go to therapy so that they can better manage their emotions.

My husband, Johnny, also tends to be impulsive. Because he is not as famous as I am, he doesn’t have as many people to drink plasma from, and if his thirst level is too low, he compels Alucard-Angelus for a deep drink. Johnny always feels terrible afterwards and showers Alucard-Angelus with hugs and apologies. Alucard-Angelus doesn’t seem to mind because they’ve always been closer with him (even though I’m the one who created Alucard-Angelus 🙄). I might need to have Johnny go to therapy so that he can make more friends and stop drinking our child’s blood.

They always did Kyra wrong.

A lot of people on here talk about how Kyra missed out on her trip to England (which she earned for making stellar grades) because Cheyenne blew off her classes. Yes, this was incredibly frustrating. However, this was far from an isolated incident.

There was a time in the first season where Kyra got straight A’s. Kyra said that she’d be happy with cash as a reward (knowing she would likely get overshadowed). But Reba insists that they have a dinner to celebrate. Of course, this gets blown off by Van’s drama with his family.

Another time they grounded Kyra for not checking in with both Brock and Reba before going to a party. They always let Cheyenne get away with way worse, but they punished Kyra for only checking in with one parent?

Then when Kyra wants to move in with Brock and Barbara Jean, Cheyenne guilt trips her by calling her selfish, saying that she’s hurting Reba, etc. Then when Kyra calls Cheyenne out on her bullshit, Cheyenne cries like a middle school girl who dishes it out but can’t take it.

When Kyra was getting bullied at school because they said Cheyenne was a slut and Kyra was gonna be just like her, Brock dismisses it by saying, “When things get tough, you stick to it.” Yeah, like he leads by example there 🙄

It wasn’t just the England incident. Kyra was always put last. That was just what stood out.

Customer pulled the race card because I told him where the line started.

I am biracial but “white passing.” I live and work in a suburb that is primarily Black.

A Black man was walking up to the register without going through the line. There was a dad with his daughter who had just gotten in line. I told the first man, “Sir, the line starts over there.” Because he was closer to the register than the dad and daughter, I said I’d serve him first but told him in the future, he needs to go through the line.

He went on to say, “Caucasian people are always wanting things to be done a certain way. It makes me feel unheard/uncomfortable (can’t remember the exact words but it was something along those lines). You guys need to do better.” I tried to explain I wasn’t trying to be like that (really trying to be polite and deescalate). He then was like “I know you people can’t help it, just do better.”

I then took his money and tried to bag his stuff and he was like, “I don’t need no bag. Just give me my change in a prompt manner” (after I’m nervously freezing because he’s treating me like I’m racist). I then told him to have a good one and served the dad and daughter. I then told the assistant manager ASAP what happened in case he calls and accuses me of racism. Thankfully, they all know me and know I’m not like that.

All because I told him where the line starts.

Decent paying jobs that are easy to get.

I’m in LSU Online’s MLIS program and work at a clothing store for $11.15 an hour. This obviously isn’t enough to live on my own, especially as a grad student.

I’ve had a couple interviews for library jobs, records analyst positions, etc. I’ll complete the final interview and then get told “Thank you for your interest, but we’re going with another candidate.”

Are there any places around here that pay better than my current job and won’t just throw you away after interviewing? I don’t care if it’s relevant to my field of study as long as it pays decently. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
