I'm debating doing direct deposit again. My small attempt at modernity.

Bluetooth Incoming Call Regression – Pixel 8 Pro / Android 17 / 2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6 (Non-Navigation)
Vehicle
2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6.
Non-navigation audio system.
Factory Honda HandsFreeLink (HFL) Bluetooth system.
Phone
Google Pixel 8 Pro.
Android 17.
Regression Timing
Bluetooth hands-free calling functioned correctly before Android 17.
The problem began immediately after upgrading to Android 17.
There was no gradual onset.
Symptoms
Outgoing calls (calls initiated by you)
Work normally.
Audio is routed through the Accord's Bluetooth system.
No problems reported.
Incoming calls (calls placed to you)
This is the only failure condition.
The phone rings normally.
The Accord displays the incoming caller information correctly.
Caller ID functions normally.
Whether the call is answered:
using the steering wheel controls, or
directly on the Pixel, the result is identical.
Immediately after the incoming call is answered:
the Accord changes the display to "Private."
audio is no longer routed through the vehicle.
microphone remains on the phone.
speaker remains on the phone.
The call cannot be transferred back to the vehicle.
The failure is consistent and reproducible.
Phone behavior during failure
During the failed incoming call:
the Pixel continues to display Bluetooth as the selected audio device.
Despite this:
both microphone and speaker remain on the handset.
Therefore:
the phone indicates Bluetooth is active,
while the Accord reports Private mode.
Bluetooth functions that continue working
Bluetooth pairing works.
Bluetooth remains connected.
Caller ID display works.
Outgoing Bluetooth calls work.
Bluetooth media streaming works.
Troubleshooting already performed
Phone
Rebooted the Pixel.
Removed and recreated Bluetooth pairing.
Turned Bluetooth off and back on.
Cleared the Bluetooth cache.
Verified Bluetooth call permissions.
Verified contact sharing.
Disabled LE Audio.
Vehicle
Forgot the phone.
Re-paired the phone.
Reset the Accord audio system settings to default.
Reset HandsFreeLink-related settings.
Additional observations
Answering via the steering wheel produces the same result as answering on the phone.
The issue affects only incoming calls.
Outgoing calls remain fully functional.
Important clarifications you provided
You specifically clarified multiple times that:
Outgoing calls = calls you initiate.
Incoming calls = someone else calls you.
The regression affects only incoming calls.
This distinction was emphasized to ensure no confusion between the two call directions.
Current working hypothesis based on the collected evidence
The evidence collected during troubleshooting suggests:
Bluetooth pairing is functional.
Bluetooth signaling is functional.
Caller ID transmission is functional.
Outgoing Hands-Free Profile (HFP) operation is functional.
Bluetooth media streaming is functional.
Only the audio handoff associated with answered incoming calls fails.
Because:
the issue began immediately after Android 17,
it is perfectly reproducible,
and numerous troubleshooting steps have already been exhausted,
you indicated that you have found reports from other users describing Bluetooth-related issues after Android 17, leading you to suspect this is a regression introduced by the operating system rather than a problem unique to your Accord.
Potential diagnostic step not yet performed
Pair a different phone to the Accord.
Receive an incoming call on that phone.
Compare behavior.
Purpose:
Determine whether the issue is specific to the Pixel 8 Pro running Android 17 or whether it is reproducible with another device.
Overall characterization
The regression is extremely specific:
Works:
Bluetooth pairing
Bluetooth connection
Caller ID
Bluetooth media
Outgoing calls
Fails:
Answered incoming Bluetooth calls
The problem appeared immediately following the Android 17 upgrade and has persisted despite extensive troubleshooting on both the phone and the vehicle. No evidence has been presented indicating a broader Bluetooth failure beyond this specific incoming-call scenario.

Decided to put some enkei rpf1s and a new set of Pilot Sport all season 4s on my V6 accord.
How do we tell reddit to stop having a hard-on for machine learning algorithm BS and just leave alone the subreddits we've subscribed to. Reddit is being very pushy and I HATE this AI drivel. No setting seems to stop it. It also happens on my desktop.
Pretty much the extremes of charvel strat-shaped guitars. One very traditional, one much less so.
Hi everyone!
I want to put in better tubes and a better speaker (it's a 1x8... sadly). What do you all recommend?
I bought it because I used to have a tsl602 and I missed it... but can't have a tsl602 in an apartment.
I can't figure it out. Also, I pay everything at the moment with post tax dollars since it's easier for me to reconcile relative to my paycheck. Would I actually come out paying less relative to just using post tax dollars?
Thanks
