How to not let planning consume you?

i’m 18 years old and i’ve recently trying to get local bands to start playing in a music bar i regular. I set up an instagram account to promote the first gig and to explain how we (me and my friend) are the only non profit organization that is non profit.

What i didn’t expect was the overwhelming amount of bands from all throughout the country wanting to play a show through our organization, at the music bar. We’re based somewhere in Europe and so far i’ve also gotten 2 UK bands wanting to play and one band from Switzerland, The account has barely existed for 2 weeks and was supposed to be for the local community only. I don’t want to say no to anyone because it’s awesome to see people are interested and it makes up for a really fun night out, but i have no clue how to do this. especially because it’s non profit.

So far i’ve put in about 30 hours of ‘graphic design’ and general communication because it’s the first show and im still figuring it out as i go. All good, except for how my friend hasn’t been doing much, my names under it so i do have to make sure things work out. I also work part time and i’m a full time university student so time is very limited for me.

Is there anyone that knows a way to figure out the planning without getting extremely overwhelmed by the amount of things that are your responsibility? I’m sure there’s some kind of theory/system/plan i can put in action for this, but i don’t know what since i have no clue what i’m doing so far anyway.

any advice is highly appreciated!

I’m the only one left at university and I don’t know who to talk to anymore

i’m 18m and starting my 3rd year in a month. I started my bachelor’s degree at 16 years old and i’m the youngest in my class. After high school all my friends took gap years or quit in their first year. Yesterday the only person that was left also quit their studies to take a gap year. I don’t really talk to anyone from my course because it’s not really focused on community, and people didn’t want to be associated with minors. In the last 2 years of studying i’ll mostly be doing internships and big solo projects so i won’t really see my classmates either way.

I genuinely feel so lonely being the only one going through the university experience, all my other friends (ones i met after highschool) are way older than i am and work fulltime or have finished uni years ago. I completely understand their individual choices of deciding to quit but it just sucks not being able to share my experiences with someone who’s going through the same thing. i’ll be 20 when i’m done with school and i’ll be the only one in my family that has a degree, my parents don’t even remember the course im taking. On top of that everyone completely doubted me ever making something out of my life, since i really struggled with depression and substance abuse when i was 13-16.

it might seem like something weird to be upset about but i really just wish there’d be someone to share my thoughts with or someone that would be there to help me, it’s seriously so lonely and i don’t know how to handle it.

i know there are student associations to join but those are all focused on excessive drinking and bringing others down, im also queer so i would not be accepted in those places. it’s also not like i don’t have friends or something, i just feel very upset that it seems like im doing something very important completely on my own while everyone around me has someone to look over their shoulders and help them if needed.

i don’t know how to get rid of feeling this way so if there’s anyone that can share some advice that’d be much appreciated!

sorry for the bad grammar, english isn’t my native language and it’s 4am so i should probably be asleep rn…

Changes in bruising/bleeding after starting T

i’m 18ftm and have been on T for a bit over a year now. I’ve never heard anyone talk about this being a side effect but it’s genuinely the only major thing that changed in my health the past year, which is the same time that i’ve been noticing this. So im wondering if there’s anyone that has experienced this or has a solid explanation.

Basically whenever i bruise, the bruise stays for at least twice as long as it used to. It doesn’t necessarily hurt or anything but i’ve just noticed that my bruises look different, they happen more easy (i got 2 accidental black eyes within 6 months) and they stay so long it’s kinda worrying, for example i got my blood drawn 4.5 weeks ago and the bruise is only now almost gone.

For bleeding, i thankfully haven’t had many big cuts or anything the past year, but again the healing process takes way longer, i don’t think i bleed any more than usual but it takes longer to close, the scars are pretty bad and very red, without much progress throughout time. I know scarring changes a lot over time, especially in the first year, but any bigger cuts i’ve had since i started T are almost a year ago so the most changed should’ve happened already.

Now i’ve heard that your blood can thicken once in testosterone, which is the only thing i think could possibly be an explanation. i get regular blood checks through a gender clinic at the hospital, so any big issues should’ve been caught already…

I’m thinking about asking this to the people at the hospital at my next appointment which is in like 3 months or so. It’s not like this has been affecting my life a lot or anything since it doesn’t hurt any more than before, but it does leave a lot of people around me being worried. just wanna make clear that it is definitely not a medical emergency, otherwise i would’ve taken action already.

If there’s anyone that has heard of this being a side effect please let me know because i’m very curious on what could possibly be going on!

How to deal with my results being ugly?

i’m 18ftm and 4 weeks post op, got double incision. I’m not comfortable sharing a photo as of now but basically my nipples are crooked and one of them is oval shaped, not too bad because at least i still have them and i’m my nerves are regenerating. The incision scars look absolutely awful and it really upsets me. the lines aren’t close to being next to eachother and the lines are nowhere near straight. it’s like they made a curtain out of it. There’s loose skinflaps laying over each other and i don’t think it’s a possibility that it’ll get less noticeable because of the way it was stitched, there’s also a lot of loose skin i’m worried about.i also have really prominent dog ears because the surgeons in my country refused to make the incision further towards my armpits. From the way it’s healing so far i’m also probably stuck with keloid scars and i’m genuinely scared of how the healing process will go from here… right now im just very upset and mad because my results aren’t anywhere similar to anything i’ve ever seen, i genuinely don’t know why they made the stitches this bad and im very upset by it. I do not regret getting top surgery at all but i don’t know how to handle the healing process anymore. it’s unlike anything i’ve seen before and it really upsets me because i think a big part of the results are due to the stitching which looks like a 5 year old did it… any advice?

Would a platform of local activities be a good idea for a “small” area?

i’m 18ftm and live in a small city somewhere in europe. There isn’t a lot of local activity left in my opinion: there’s one squatted house where events are sometimes being held, 1 youth activist group affiliated with a political party, XR, a feminism group, and a palestine movement that hasn’t been active since the ‘ceasefire’. most of the advertising goes through instagram, +/-30 people show up to most protests/other events.

my plan is to make an instagram page dedicated to sharing an overview about what’s happening in the area each week/month and how to connect to one of the existing groups in the area, or making a new activism related group if necessary. i’d make an addition website where you can find another overview of each group + their agenda. the goal of all of this would be to make it easier to find new groups and events in the local scene so hopefully more people will want to do something for the local community. the bigger picture would be to have a small impact on local community events that make the area i live in a better place. if community events become bigger and more known, local politics will be affected too which would make the area a better place to live in.

I don’t really know if this sounds like a good idea, or if people are waiting for something like this so i figured i’d ask here. What would you think about something like this in ur local scene? any ideas on how to make it happen? let me know please!

post op pain levels?

i got top surgery yesterday(!!!) and thankfully everything went great, way less bad than i’d expected. i’m on day 1 of recovery today, only meds im allowed to take are ibuprofen and paracetamol which seemed somewhat useless to me but honestly works fine for me. I’ve heard and seen loads of stories of people who genuinely suffered from pain after surgery, especially on day 1, so that got me thinking… what was the pain level you’ve experienced after getting top surgery? when did it get worse/better for you?

Today i heard i have the surgery scheduled in 3 weeks. i am not prepared at all because i thought it’d be at least a month later… there’s so much contradictory information out there and im very stressed out about it. I guess the most important thing for me is to know how much help id need from others so i can ask that before it’s too late. genuinely any advice is welcome because im absolutely lost.
