Car Dealership hours - why so terrible?

Most car dealers are open all day Mon-Fri but shut at 1pm on Sat and closed Sun.

I mean I know this is Perth but last I checked, people need money to buy cars, and need to work to earn money.

​

I'm not going to be banging down the dealership door at 8:45 on a Tuesday but I sure as hell might want to go look on the weekend at my leisure.

Are the bulk of their customers retired or something?
