Marked NSFW just in case! 27F, this red spot has been very painful to the touch, and burns/itches for minutes after messing with it. The pain can radiate to my forehead.
It sits just above the center of my forehead, like an inch from the edge of my scalp. Pictured is a photo before a piece of yellow crust came off, and after. What could this be?? I've never had something like this before.
Can someone pretty please make a cute PMW Book Club background to maybe put up when we discuss each Sunday? I lack those talents 😂
Or we could have a quick contest to pick one?
Would be super fun!
Gotta think of a catchy book club name too 👀
Hi all! I'm trying to figure out whether an immersion blender is realistic for early morning baby food/quick breakfast stuff without waking up the whole house. 😂
At this point, a full countertop blender is basically out of the question for me in the morning. It's loud, runs longer than I want, and feels ridiculous when I'm only blending a small amount of steamed carrots, banana, oats, or smoothie.
I've been looking at a koios immersion blender because it seems easier for small batches, but I can't tell from reviews how loud it actually is. Some people say immersion blenders are quieter, others say the higher watt ones are still aggressively loud.
I guess my question is, for anyone using one in an apt or with a sleeping kid/partner nearby, is the noise manageable if you keep it on low/medium speed? Or is it still one of those "everyone knows you're blending something now" kitchen sounds? 😂
TIA!
Not talking about spec-sheet arguments. I mean like normal maintenance rounds, where you're checking panels, motors, bearings, gearboxes, and whatever else wants attention that day.
For context, we'd been using a pretty basic lower-res unit and it was fine right up until it wasn't lol. Small targets at a distance were mush, and every warm spot became a debate on if it was real or just blurry. I recently borrowed a Fotric TK6Kit thermal camera, and the jump to a true 384x288 image plus manual focus made a bigger difference than I expected. Nothing revolutionary, but less second-guessing for sure.
The full kit is a little more stuff to carry around, so there's not zero tradeoff, but the images were a lot easier to use in reports and follow-ups.
I guess another question is, for those doing routine industrial PM, where did better resolution start paying off for you? Or is this just one of those things where any decent cam is good enough if the tech knows what they're doing?
