I am trying to run the m5 NFC (st25r3916) through the lora cap (1262) on bruce. It doesnt seem to recognize the module is connected to the lora cap, but works fine when directly plugged into the units grove port. I tried remapping the pins and never got it to work. Anyone else have this issue or know of a solution? If not would love to see this as an update in the future so I can run the ir module from the unit grove and the NFC from the lora grove port.

I want to setup a home server mainly to backup photos, setup an ad blocker and gernally mess around with the concept. My partner and I WFH full time for a fortune 500, so I am trying to be cognizant of their data and believe I need VLANs to be safe and isolate work computers from my server. My current router is an asus xt8 mesh setup that doesn't support VLAN. I need mesh due to our house size/setup. What router setup should I get to support mesh and VLAN? Anything else I should think about/consider regarding this or anyway I can use my existing setup and still be safe? I am new to all of this (IT/hardware/software is not my background at all).

I have a cardputer adv with the lora cap and I am curious if I can run an ir unit and nfc unit at the same time by plugging into the grove on the cardputer and the lora cap at the same time?

I want a griddle and would like to occasionaly use it as a lid for the skillet. Does it work well as a lid? Will it be a pain to keep the griddle bottom seasoned if it's getting all steamy from what's cooking in the skillet?

I have the official firmware version 2.7.22. It was working last night until I tried to save a spiff (didnt work could use advice there). I since deleted it off the SD card and reinstalled with new firmware and it keeps crashing every time I try to select my region. Any advice here?

Update! I found another post with a similar issue. I burned meshtastic directly onto the cardputer. Deleted meshtastic off the sd card. Deleterthe old spiffs on the card (trying to reset the sd without actually redownloading everything). Opened the firmware on cardputer directly. Burned launcher directly on the cardputer again Added meshtastic back to the SD and it worked!

Is there a limit to the amount of firmware you can load on an SD card and run them through launcher? I dont mean filling up all 32gb of space on the card, but I saw a post on here a few days ago with a guy having trouble running meshtastic then bruce on his SD card. This made me very confused as I thought the whole point of the SD card was to have multiple firmwares installed and have the ability to switch between them. The conversation on that thread started of confuse me as it went down a path of flash memory. Will I have trouble putting meshtastic, bruce, evilcardputer etc on my SD card and running them through launcher?

I am recieving the cardputer adv with lora 1262 cap any day now. I want to run meshtastic and firmware like Bruce. Do I have to change pins or do anything special to switch between these firmware?

Im getting a cardputer adv and would like to run meshtastic on it. I have no other main objective outside of messing around with it and using it as my gateway into meshtastic. My dumb question is, will it connect to my phone and pass messages through there if I want? I understand it is meant to be a standalone device, but curious about this functionality. Also, what's the latest and greatest meshtastic firmware to put on it?

Im nervous about using LIPO batteries in my builds that will be gifts. Im sure the owners will only use a few times a year and likely not be vigilant charging. Are there better brands with BMS built in that i should use? Or should I build a bulkier unit with protected 18650s? Does the chips in heltec devices protect from over discharge/charging?

Are they safe in general? Building lora mesh devices and wasn't thinking about the battery initially until I realized that the chemistry in the flat pack style batteries all seem to be LIPO. How safe are they knowing they might get tossed in a pack and not charged for months, then charged back up (not by me but those items would gift to)? Am I better off switching cases so they will accommodate an 18650 lion?

I am looking into meshtastic or core (please help decide), primarily for off grid communication with my hunting partners. There is definitely no network existing anywhere close to where I will be, so I presume meshtastic is better than core? I am looking at starting with a couple of heltec t114s with GPS, is this a good option for me? It looks like ordering directly from their site is the cheapest, any concerns doing so or issues shipping to the US? I do have access to a 3d printer and soldering setup, so open to other options as well.

Any fear in buying a used due to the melt issues? I plan on running it in the garage. Found with with an AMS lite and extra goodies for $200 (700 hours of printing). I really want an x2d, but cant justify the price for how much ill really use it (coming from an ender 3).

I plan on installing a handful of solid core doors to aid in sound dampening. Will a flush door make a noticeable stc difference than one with panels?

I want to know the measurement from the back to the leveling feet (vs the front of the dishwasher, which is assume is where the online figures measure to). Will someone please help and take a measurement of their unit

I am looking at purchasing the 800 series and wanted to know the measurement of the back of the unit to the leveling feet. I am hopeful that is not the 23 inch measurement they label online for depth.

I am currently shopping between the GH and the honda pilot. I am having a difficult time finding either hybrid model GH to test and refuse to reserve one without testing. Im inclined to get the hybrid version instead of the max due to the inherent risk in the MAX being a new motor setup. I am bummed the hybrid doesn't come in platinum version, but looks like the nightshade is close (doesn't have the ventilated captains chairs). How common is it to find the hybrid version with a hitch from the factory? Also any idea what the tow/hitch ratings are on this model (won't ever tow but would like to slap a bike rack on there once in a while)? Is it going to have enough power to get through the mountains with a hitch rack and loaded on the inside? I lean towards the pilot in this regard (reliable engine and lots of power). Has anyone managed to get anything off MSRP?

Whats everyone's final 6? Im playing through right now working on quilava, krabby (mule team 6), heracross, kadabra, machop, geodude. I probably wont finish with both heracroas and Machamp (thoughts on which?). I'll likely end with dragonite for fly (drop fighter) and tyranitar in place of golem.

Turning back on crystal for the first time since the early 2000s (need to solder a new battery in). Looking for advice on strategy to complete the pokedex. I have a clean version of Pokémon yellow (will a cr2025 fit in yellow?) and a version of red that has been completed with all in game Pokémon. I am a bit nervous on using the red version because I did some glitches on it like 15 years ago and dont want to cause any damage to crystal or yellow through trades (also really want to complete that pokedex, I know I have a level +150 cloyster or something stupid from glitching). Is there any ability to cause damage trading with this version of red? Do I need other games (blue/gold/silver)? Should I just play through crystal until I complete the story and all in game pokemon, then play through yellow, trading back and forth to complete it/get all pokemon from yellow into crystal? Any tips or regrettable moves to avoid in crystal? Should I save glitch to get all the starters, especially considering I dont have silver/gold and they are like $70?
