Never noticed this until recently, but it turns out the altered version of alberich's pointed hat reveals that chunks of his brain has been turned to red glintstone. If we hadn't killed him, he may have ended up like the primeval sorcerers like lusat and azur

I mean, by the time we actually reach the shadow keep, miquella has literally just ditched his great rune at the scadutree base. We can assume that he headed for the ruah ruins from there, and once we burn the sealing tree he just floors it straight for enir-illim. Even if we go out of our way to find st trina or help out all of the other npcs, if miquella had been behind even slightly, we may have been able to catch up to him

Ive been playing elden ring for about a month now, got the dlc a week ago, and bayle has easily become one of my favourite bossess. The buildup to the boss fight, scaling the jagged peak is immaculate (aside of senessax, he can go kill himself for all i care), the fight itself is excellent, the 2nd phase is so cinematic, the music is stellar, and who can possibly forget igon and his astounding voice acting. Easily one of my top 3 bosses alongside radahn and maliketh (messmer's a close fourth)
