Purchasing electronics from Costco based on return policy

Was about to purchase a dehumidifier on Amazon but then thought about Costco’s return policy.

Is the general rule of thumb is to purchase electronics only from Costco because of their return policy? And I know certain ones are 90 days but vacuums and others make it worth while correct?

For WiFi coverage: keep the RBR850 or use new FIOS router with extender?

Fios is upgrading me to 2Gig internet at no charge. They are also offering Router and Extenders for free.

Currently I have the Orbi Mesh system RBR 850. Wondering if it makes sense to use the new Fios Router with their extender(they offered 2 free extenders if need be) or should I just keep the Orbi RBR850?

Dedicated Hotspot for my home

Looking for a service that offers a dedicated hotspot for my home. Looking to link several phones to that hotspot instead of my WiFi.

Wondering if there is a service that provides unlimited data plan for a hotspot or actually provides a device as well. The hotspot will be at the home exclusively.

Us Mobile for a hotspot device

Quick question and maybe a stupid one.

I’m already a us mobile client. If I were to get a hotspot device that handle eSIM, can I just get a us mobile subscript for that hotspot device.

Yes I know I can just get a phone and make it a hotspot, but I wanted to connect several devices to it and have it dedicated to stay at my house.

Thoughts?

Might be a dumb hotspot question

Even if I get a hotspot device on let’s say Amazon, I still need to get a plan for it correct? It’s not like I can just buy the hotspot and connect 10 devices to it with unlimited data correct?

I believe I still need one. And if I’m correct, which are some good affordable unlimited esims for a hotspot device ?

ChatGPT /Hevy issues- not talking to each other

Having issues with Hevy and ChatGpt.

It worked before where Hevy and ChatGpt created routines and no issues.

All of a sudden ChatGpt and Hevy aren’t talking to each other.

I tried disconnecting both and reconnecting.
I granted access on ChatGPT to Hevy and nothing.

Any ideas or tips to fix?

Cremation or Mausolium burial: which is cheaper?

I know a morbid question. My father in law passed two months ago, and my wife has begun discussions of how ours would be.

Now after seeing first hand on her fathers, this stuff is expensive. My assumption is a Mausolium burial being quite the penny.

I would just rather the cheapest option as opposed to the most expensive. I hate to say it but some(not all so I am saying some) don’t even go to the burial grounds of their loved ones after awhile. I’m more on the side of save your money, give it to the grandkids and just cremate me. I assume it’s cheaper.

She wants a burial.

What are your thoughts?

Does it really matter which creatine to get?

There are hundreds of sellers for creatine. Does it matter which one I buy or are there specific brands or versions of creatine that make a difference?

I got Momentous but I see others as well.

Phone using cell data only for GPTP

Hey all..

So instead of using my wifi, I wanted to see if maybe I can use a cell service only phone so I can have two accounts for the same GPTP . For example,

MoneyLion using my info on a wifi only phone.

MoneyLion using Verizon/Tmobile only phone(wifi turned off)

Is this possible? And if so which cell service do you use for this to be cost efficient?

Added a traveling ESIM to my phone but now want my iMessage and FaceTime back to Usmobile line.

So I got a local eSIM in Aruba and I assume I set it up for that eSIM to be the one for iMessages and FaceTime. Now back in the states, I want my Usmobile line to be that but I can’t seem to put it back to the Usmobile line. It won’t let me toggle it on.

Any thoughts or tips?

Barcelo Aruba- my honest review

Just finished staying at the Barcelo Aruba and here is my honest review.

Came with a big group with some kids. Now we have stayed in Aruba many times . We stayed twice in Barcelo before and others at Riu. We didn’t stay at Riu this time as they are making renovations and won’t be done til August.

Barcelo is fine for an entry level all inclusive resort in Aruba. You have to save chairs in the morning at the beach. Beach is everyone’s first priority. Pool is next. It’s not terrible to do but still you have to do it. The beds by the pool look dirty but again, I’m unsure why they don’t cover it in the morning or rent it out to make things easier. Just looks grimy. To be fair, I still laid on it with a towel and just called it a day.

The rooms are dated just alittle. I stayed on the second floor. Bathrooms are fine. The toilets you have to be mindful of as if you flush once, it won’t flush again for another 20 minutes. Probably to conserve water. I’m a double flusher so that annoyed me.

The food was alllrrrigghtt. I mean it was edible but doesn’t compare to the Riu. Breakfast buffet was standard. Lunch was ok too. The highlight was July 4th when they had it all decorated for Independence Day and put out crab legs and stuff. It was really good. The restaurants were fine. Mexican was by far my favorite. Just be mindful that reservations should be made a week before you come to the resort or you will have nothing. Restaurants outside the resort are soo good so you have options but if you are staying at Barcelo and have all inclusive, it’s best to get your moneys worth.

The staff was nice to an extent. I feel bad as the staff are only doing their best with what they have. They are constantly cleaning the areas outside the pool area to make sure all is good. The bartenders in the lobby bar were sooo rude. They put out info on World Cup games as if they were going to show games and instead showed tv shows. When we asked if they can put it on, they made a fuss. I mean they literally put flyers around with World Cup schedules. Why even put that if I have to tell you to put it on?

While this is the last time we stay at the Barcelo, I will say Ricky and his beach staff were great. He is what makes the stay fine. Just unfortunately, everything else doesn’t help it. The staff can only do so much with what they have. Riu is where we will stay when we come back. Alittle priced but WELL WORTH IT.

USMobile is stellar for US service but rough in international for teenagers

First off. Love US Mobile. Service is stellar and plans are great. The price point is great as well.

But traveling with teenagers internationally can be rough. Curently in Aruba and hotel we are at has bad wifi reception. As a result, my kids are using their international data a lot. I mean the apps teenagers use now are just data hogs. 20gBs allotment can go by real fast.

This is one thing to keep in mind if you bring your family over and plan on a trip somewhere the wifi can be spotty.

US Mobile and Aruba- Warp and Dark Star

Have Dark Star as my main and Warp as my backup.

Plan on going to Aruba in a few weeks and wondering if there is anything I need to do for my services to work properly.

And second question which is a weird one. I tried making a call from the States to Aruba using Dark Star and it didn’t go through at all. Moment I switched to Warp, it went through. Curious as to why that was the case.

Family member passed away. But need advice

location: New Jersey.

So my father in law passed away a few weeks ago. It was a sudden passing. He was a bit of a hoarder and lived life as if he wanted to keep a lot of things close to the chest.

Fast forward to now, my mother in law is unsure if he even had a will or some sort of any legal doc if his passing occurred. They own homes, he has a pension, and even has brokerage accounts.

Unsure what they should do first but what happens in the event of him not having a will or trust? What steps can they take to take ownership if he doesn’t.
