“A Game Within a Game”: How Fable Is Embracing Life Sim Gameplay

In the past few years, we’ve seen new titles like InZOI and Paralives tackle the long monopolised life sim genre in their own ways. Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games have been hard at work to bring us a new, if slightly unconventional, take on the genre. The new title, simply known as ‘Fable’, is a continuation of the cult classic Fable game series, known for genre-bending and open-ended gameplay, and is due to release in February 2027.
