Any resellers that work exclusively restaurants?

Not a newbie to GHL and have ran marketing on CRMs for 8 years. All that to say is that im not super needy. But if theres a reseller out there who has snapshots / setups for restaurants and maybe a discord/community, I would be happy to sign up using your link. Please dont reach out if your focus is not restaurants.

We use square for processing and POS.

Any recs would also be appreciated

TIA

US drafting ban on Chinese data center devices - COHR, LITE & AAOI is flying.

The Trump administration is drafting a ban on U.S. imports of new models of Chinese data center components, four people familiar with the matter told Reuters, as it seeks to protect the infrastructure that undergirds the AI boom.

The Federal Communications Commission, which oversees the U.S. telecom industry, is working on the measure to bar imports of new Chinese optical transceivers, which allow data to travel over fiber-optic cables at the speed of light within data centers. Officials hope to publish it this year, when it would take effect.

The move, not previously reported, aims to prevent Chinese firms from stealing data, installing malware or disrupting service at U.S. data centers, which house the chips to train and run AI models.

The FCC could still modify or shelve the restriction, the sources stressed, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters. But it is the latest example of the Trump administration trying to limit Chinese technological incursions into cutting-edge U.S. industries before they become embedded in the supply chain.

"Transceivers definitely pose a risk," said Divyansh Kaushik, an AI policy expert at Washington, D.C., advisory firm Beacon Global Strategies. "As the data center buildout scales up, you want to make sure the data center supply chain is secure from the get-go," he added.

My response to spez's AMA - live threads

Hey guys, i'm posting my reply to u/spez from the AMA because the thread got locked. Did you guys listen to the fireside chat last night? Spez said he reads EVERY post here so I figured this would be a safe bet 🤣

I think what we’re seeing here has less to do with Reddit and more to do with OKC being a once-in-a-generation team to hate. With that out of the way…

>This is an example of how Reddit doesn’t compete with TV, it completes it.

>But yes, I agree. This is a great question. These threads can be fun, but they also break Reddit in a way. One idea I’ve thought about is automatically partitioning big threads. IRC used to do this back in the day. I’m curious if you have a point of view here.

>There being so many users that the product breaks down is usually a sign of a product opportunity, but we don’t have a specific vision for it at the moment, unfortunately.

Hey spez, thanks for the reply 😎👍  I’d love to share my POV.  Live threads definitely feel like they break Reddit. The speed and volume are just insane. It's crazy and fun, but it can be overwhelming and good comments get buried.

I’m not a fan of the partitioned room idea because I’d get FOMO missing great comments in other rooms. Being randomly sorted into groups for a game doesn't sound exciting either. I like the classic Reddit experience of looking at what the top-voted analysis and jokes were for the game.

It’d be cool if there was a way to experience live events that finds ways to slow down the experience and help people make sense of whats going on.  Something that turns it into a more perusing-like experience. I could see myself and others toggling that on and off depending on what’s going on.  I think this would make me want to use Reddit even more during a game.

On a smaller scale, it might be possible to increase discoverability in these big threads by showing key topics and categories that allow the user to quickly filter through these types of conversations.  For example refereeing, specific players, team play, and in-depth analysis.  It would also work really well in WSB threads with stock tickers.  Regular comment search but with less friction.  And who knows, maybe in the future there is a professional category where I can quickly see what Zach Lowe, Bill Simmons, or Jim Cramer have to say 😉🍻

My ISP seems to be throttling my downloads. Can never seem to get over 10mbps on anything. Paying for 100/100

I’m getting upgraded to a gigabit line next week

The rep on the line said “Wow, you do seem to be using a lot of internet. What kind of services do you use?” And I said all the streaming plus some development work.

Since I’m going to be having my internet serviced soon, anyone have any advice on getting the throttling lifted?
