My friend wants to restore his Grandfathers 5600. Its the 691 version that I learned is just slightly different than the newer releases after 1990 or so. Anyone know a good place to find a new bezel and wrist band? I seem to only find parts for the 901 not the 691
Got the "tiffany blue" dial/hands/chapter ring from ALIXpress. The original watch was the GA2100VB-1A the "Virtual Blue" or whatever they are calling it. The colors just get drowned out in the black dial which is a shame because I loved that "FedexKinkos" colorway with the Purple and the Light Photo Blue.
I rushed to get this installed and realized after that ali express sent me the wrong hand options. They were supposed to be black tipped. So I ended up keeping the original day hand because the other one literally blended in with the dial fully lol.
Wondering if anyone has any experiece replating old watches? My friend has a kit and would be doing the plating but i want to prep it for him. Most things would be like this watch shown. The Watch Case is some sort of brass mix Seiko used. The bracelet is stainless steel. Would I have to pop out the crystal before plating? Im worried I wont find a replacement should It break during replacement. This is an Acrylic "hardlex" crystal most likely as theres some light scratches and Sapphire crystals wont scratch.

anyone find a similar *ahem* cheaper option than the CB02 that will fill in that lug gap? I've been trying to ask AI if the sumo lug gap is similar to any other watch reference but not getting anywhere. I'm also thinking since the stock bracelet has a female end link I could try maybe cutting a universal flat end rubber strap to fit but that seems risky for the structural integrity.
just grabbed a SBDC033 second gen Bluemo and I can't wait to see it on some different color rubber straps.
I haven't bought anything "new' in a while as I'm finally starting to lose weight and can fit the stuff I was wearing a few years ago but man it was getting really hard to find decent clothes that fit both width and length, but Ralph always held it down for us fatties. hey guys, Not sure if this is common. have a quartz PRX, has been running fine. I wear it maybe once a week. today I noticed I needed to run it a day forward because of there being no April 31st. I pull the crown out all the way and turn and it felt like it was hard to turn. Now, I haven't had to adjust the time on it since I bought it and don't remember if its just like that or not.
Anyone else feel the crowns hard to turn? or is it just my fat fingers? lol
Theres 2 more not here yet. I bought the first watch(spb210) at the beginning of March and got the bug BIG. My only regret is not getting a lighter colored g-shock but I plan on modding that one. Thank god for paypal pay in 4 and Affirm lol.
What color palette should I go with on the casio with the black casioak bezel/bracelet? Tiffany blue/green would look cool and I have no fear of looking tacky at all.
Most watches were bought under retail except the SRPG53 and the alpinists(sort of, gold alpinist was pretty much 580 and i got like 50 bucks off the spb507). I want to find some beaters at tag sales and try to refurb them eventually.
