Questions about Costa Brava

I'm here in beautiful Costa Brava right now and I have a few questions for this sub...

  1. How does recycling work here? I've only been seeing trash cans. Not sure what to do with empty wine bottles, beer cans, etc.

  2. Do you have any recommendations for things to do in the rain? It's supposed to rain tomorrow, I might drive to Begur or some other medieval town and pop into some cafes/restaurants/shops while it's raining.

  3. Where can I taste & purchase some locally-produced extra virgin olive oil? Have you been to any tasting rooms or artisan olive oil producers in this area?

  4. I have really enjoyed Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc, and walking along the Camí de Ronda in various coastal towns, especially north of Platja d'Aro and south of Calella de Palafrugell. I've been tanning, swimming, and snorkeling. I speak intermediate Spanish and have enjoyed talking to some folks in Spanish. I had a lovely meal at Far Nomo, and have been enjoying the beer and tapas around the region. What are some other sights/experiences you can recommend?

My Mac Mini setup

This is my humble Mac Mini M4 base modelo setup. Almost everything here was bought second-hand on Facebook Marketplace or Mercari. I've been trying to be frugal and avoid upgrade-itis. That being said, I definitely need to work on cable management.

I know how crazy this sounds, and I know you might be skeptical. The truth is that I've spent years testing software as my profession, so I have ruled out any confounding variables.

When I have my phone (Galaxy S22 Ultra on Android 16) set to Dark Mode, it is slower than when it is set to Light Mode. In Dark Mode, system animations are slower, frames are skipped, and multitasking is prone to lag.

I don't have any hard data to back this up (yet), just anecdotal experience. Posting here first for preliminary discussion, then I will do some data collection.

Our comfy reclining chair in the living room is a bit squeaky. My girlfriend asked me if we would be able to stop it from squeaking.

I said something along the lines of, "Yeah I think I could turn it upside down, lube it up with WD-40, and that should do it."

She smirked and said that she wanted me to turn her upside down and lube her up, too.

I love this woman.
