Tracking total gas savings

Hey everyone,

I’ve been tracking every fill up to show my total gas savings (bottom right). So far I’ve saved $289.09 compared to driving a 30mpg vehicle. I’m averaging 50mpg in my 2015 Prius.

This spreadsheet actually has 10 columns but I only fit 3 in the screenshot.

Let me know if you think I should change the mpg I’m comparing to. AI recommended 30mpg.

My hope is to eventually have saved enough that the car basically pays for itself.

2016 Prius Two acceleration

Sometimes when I start my Prius I can zoom off with the HSI at max ECO, and I’ll be able to accelerate to like 45 MPH rather quickly with 80 MPG according to the gauge. The engine will also sound super smooth.

This only happens rarely. Why does this happen and is there any way to make it so it happens more often because I wish it drove like that all the time.

Normally when I accelerate like that I’m only getting 20 MPG or so.

I don’t get it. If I tried this, my Prius just comes to a stop. Hills are really tough to get up in my 2015. Any tips?

Coming from an 11 Pro, it’s quite the upgrade. What I wanted most this year, was the lightest phone I could get.
