Which other franchises would be the best to have a cameo or a crossover series?

So, I was eating watermelon and I just can't turn off my brain even when I'm eating so I was like, there are a lot of sci-fi franchises and as far as I known there was only a Star Trek crossover comic once for GL. There also never was a really prominent GL show, as even some popular shows like TAS were undermined by DC's obsession with batman and by other more popular shows. So I wondered which franchises would be best for a cameo or crossover.

First, I thought of the awesome Doctor Who, but everything past Peter Capaldi's second season has been so horribly bad except for a few stories that I don't consider most of them as canon.

Then maybe Mass Effect, but a GL would wreck the entire verse without an issue.

And then I thought of John Constantine, Doctor Fate and other magic-related DC characters, especially for an Alan Scott series.

Condal and Hess made sure to troll Martin in every way possible.

So, I'm sticking to a realization I just had because if I had to really list every time they trolled Martin, I'd end tomorrow morning, but they also trolled George in a very specific way :

>

Relieved, Catelyn kissed him lightly on the cheek before the others could come around the turn of the stair, and for a moment he was her boy again, and not her king.

The purpose of this citation in my post is to show how George loves motherhood. He loves tender mothers who'd do anything for their children and who love their children. Even when it's suggested that they possibly don't like men and thus having children like with Rhaena, sister-wife of Aegon the Uncrowned and who was outraged at her daughter's death.

Alicent in the books is also the kind of mother that wanted the best for her children which meant war with Rhaenyra, meanwhile, Rhaenys pushed for Laenor's claim, not hers, and fought for her presumed granchildren. But in this show, especially with the writing of the green side...

Motherhood is either demonized, like when young Rhaenyra rubs it in young Alicent's face that she doesn't want to be a "brood mare" or when Aemma and Laena both die in childbirth or to create mommy issues like with Alicent and Aegon/Aemond, or it's just not there like with Haelaena and her reaction to B&C.

It's even more vile when you think about Rhaenyra's motherhood. the only reason why Rhaenyra as a mother is shown as good is because the strong boys are merely the continuation of Rhaenyra (and Daemon in the case of Aegon and Viserys), so it's bizarrely very linked to Cersei's perception of Joffrey in the books where she sees Joffrey as an extension of herself which is why she enables him into being a tyrant.

We haven't even had seen Rhaenys mourn Laenor and Laena properly, because the main focus of the Velaryon part of the story is to set up Alyn as Aegon's future regent and thus a "good guy".

Is there any significant story with Cruz, Baz, or another minor GL ?

I'm asking this because I grew up with Green Lantern TAS so my favorite out of the major 3 has always been Hal, but I like Guy and Jon through Justice League cartoons. And Cruz whom I found out existed barely 4 years ago at most has always struck me as the disney princess for little girls so I was never really invested and don't know what she was in. Baz is even more obscure for me because as I'm not american, I don't have easy access to DC or GL comics, which I can only buy at bookstores in important cities, so the only GL comics I've ever read were written in Geof Jones' run.

I hate youtube's subtitles

I'm deaf. Well, without cochlear implants I am, but with them I am nearly like someone with an average hearing.

So watching movies, videos, listening to music is a real hassle. Someone with cochlear implants would probably agree with me, any synthetic sound heard without an adaptative system like a roger on sounds like it has been made underwater with metallic undertones.

So in order to watch a movie or a youtube video, I have to use my cochlear implants, a roger on system PLUS subtitles since even with all these adaptions it's still hard to hear. But youtube subtitles are awful.
A few years back, automatic subtitles were outright unwatchable, today they're a bit better but they're not always available and when they are, they're either not so great, censored (like when you state that you are a cripple, looking at you, excerpt from House MD) or in a different language (like, what is even the purpose of the automatic subtitles giving spanish subtitles to a french-speaking video?) it's horrible.

Question about the secret genophage ending

I've seen people talking about how you can sabotage the cure to the genophage but keep Wrex alive in Legendary Edition with Citadel DLC. What happens in the ending if you do that?

Who's your favorite side non-human corpsmember ?

I was thinking a bit about Sinestro War arc and thought about how Soddam Yat was actually badass for having fought Superboy Prime for this long (excited about the upcoming Superboy Death Battle btw) and this question hit me like a green train construct in the face because except for Arisia, Soddam, Mogo and our boy Kilowog who are the main non human members we've seen a lot, there are a lot of more sidelined non-human characters. I think mine is either Bzzd, Leezle Pon or Dkrtzy.

What if a Latin Union emerged in the interwar period?

So, in France, Panlatinism existed in the 19th century. It was rather impopular, probably because France on it's own was very powerful and because it was more of an intellectuals' movement.

However, in the wake of the end of WW1, the vittoria mutilata in Italy, the economic struggles in France and political ones in Portugal in an Anglo-american-centric world, panlatinism could re-emerge as a way for France and Portugal first but then also Italy after them to resist in Europe, especially as the British and Americans tried to moderate the peace deals.

We would obviously need Portugal to stay a republican democracy and Mussolini to stay in the Socialist party and establish a socialist-oriented republic with the march on Rome in 1922. We would also need for Portugal to have sent a much bigger expeditionary force in France, which would have made a very loose (comparatively to Trianon and Sèvres) treaty of Versailles very hard politically.

The Union would be born as way for France to rebuild it's economy and strengthen it's ties to the allies and for Portugal to be taken seriously diplomatically and upgrade the Portuguese economy, while also reinforcing military ties. On the military note, maybe we could see France and Italy ally and coordinate during the Turkish war of independence, which could ease the front a bit for both, but not win the war. This would pave the way for the actual Italian entry in the Union when the march on Rome happens, leading to the deposition and exile of the king and establishment of an Italian Republic. After this, all three parties could see an advantage to further integration and formalize the union into more than a deep alliance, a federal republican Union.

This union would be a diplomatic and military behemoth, dominated by a France that was already historically exploiting Britain's stubbornness to maintain the gold standard and basically economically blackmailing Britain, but would here be the anchor of multiple countries in a federal union. It would also compete with Britain and the USA for influence in Latin America politically, economically and diplomatically, challenging the Monroe Doctrine.

And with the Spanish Civil War beginning in 1936, we could then see France, Italy and Portugal sending troops and gear, supporting militarily, diplomatically and economically the Republicans in exchange for Republican entry in the Union. Involved in such a war the military of the union could modernize. The Union would thus protest the Spanish Gold affair and pressure the USSR into giving it back, which I'm not sure Stalin would do, but he could, to appease a growing and unaligned major power.

At the same time, the union could protest the re-militarization of the Rhineland, but I'm not sure if they would have the numbers and logistics to pull off warding off the Germans while also fighting the Spanish nationalists, since even intervention wouldn't single-handedly end the war.
However, the Anschluss would definitely be opposed, and we would see weird politics in the Balkans, with the union having relatively good relations with Romania(except for the Albanian issue) and Czechoslovakia but Italy having issues with Albania and Yugoslavia, the latter being a french ally.

Let's say master Mundi was sent on a diplomatic mission on Dathomir to treat with the night sisters. He then might have discovered Maul through the force as he was quite powerful.

Mundi would stay courteous to Mother Talzin and the Nightsisters, as his species was capable of high cognitive brain-power, which helped him control his own emotions, lending him a capacity to resist the pull of the dark side. Realizing that Mother Talzin and the Nightsisters were powerful and versed in the Dark Side, Mundi would probably want to seal a non-agression pact of sorts with them, which would be ensured if Maul, who showed promise for the order, even though he was way older than the usual padawans, became a padawan at the Jedi Temple.

Talzin would make Mundi promise to protect Maul as she knew his name and could punish him if anything happened to her son. Mundi would agree, as he understood that this entire pact was mutually assured destruction all the way. Mundi being a complete jerk is actually a misconstruction by the fandom. Yes, he was cold and taught to be attachmentless, but he was still compassionate to people, and he genuinely cared for his fellow Jedi, so his first interactions on the way for Coruscant would be awkward, but not hostile or compassionless.

Maul was afterall a child who he took from his mother's arms a few hours ago. Mundi would awkwardly try to reassure the Dathomirian, while also thinking about his promise to Talzin. His own life was on the stake here, if anything happened to Maul. He also saw genuine potential in the Zabrak, which other masters might not, as students were taken way earlier. He thus thought about asking the council to train him himself.

Master Mundi then spent the entire flight awkwardly trying to bond with the Zabrak. They spoke of their mutual species, which were very different, but also of how the Force was in everyone. Mundi even tried to play games with Maul to assess his force abilities without pushing him overboard.
The cerellian was genuinely impressed, Maul was one of the most force-gifted children he ever saw. He then tested Maul's physical strength by letting him train with his own lightsaber against a training droid for the rest of the flight, which kept Maul busy while Mundi could assess what he had there.

On Coruscant, Maul was hiding, cowering behind the Cerellian master, the dark side was naturally strong in him, and he was never truly trained in restraint, so he had a lot of fear, especially as it was a brand-new planet that he never saw, and given that he had never left Dathomir before. When they arrived in front of the Jedi temple, it was majestic, something Maul never thought was possible to even build just stood in front of him, he was in wonder.

When Master Mundi presented the boy and his case to the Council, it was highly confusing to the masters. One did not take a student this late, and the Council did not trust the Nightsisters, but Master Mundi was a confirmed jedi master, one who suppressed his own pull towards the dark side and stayed true to the code. Furthermore, it was clear that Maul did not trust anyone yet, but that he and Mundi established some premature kind of bond, so they allowed Mundi to train him as a padawan. After all, it was not unheard of that the bond between master and apprentice would lead to forming attachment. It was by the way one of the only few attachments allowed in the order.

Mundi then spent years training Maul. Their training was harsh, especially as Maul struggled to control his emotions and that he had a hard time not just assimilating to the order, but also to truly understand his master, who was ever so cold. But Maul came to see that Master Mundi was truly caring for others in the galaxy and they developped over the years a strange kind of father-son bond. They even bounded on one weird subject. Master Mundi was one of the best duellists in the order, and he mastered Makashi, which was considered the perfect lightsaber form for combat. And Maul, still pulled by the dark side naturally imbued in him, reveled in a fight, and in dominating others. Master Mundi tried to control it, sure, and he teached Maul to show restraint and to control his emotions, but Maul always had that pull towards domination and the dark side.

Master Mundi knew of another Jedi who had the ability to control and channel their pull towards the dark side, the sentinels and Master Windu. The sentinels could have been a good choice for Maul, but Mundi wanted to consult Master Windu First. After all, he was the master of the order. Master Windu agreed to help master Mundi, and while Maul was difficult to work with, after some years in the temple training with master Mundi, he had come to trust the other masters, and so, when Master Windu taught him Vaapad, he listened. And Maul thus began training in Vaapad, while he felt the neverending pull of home. But this pull was channeled through his attachment to the order and to his master... But also to some friend, who was not judging of him. That friend was Qui-Gon Jin's apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was roughly the same age than him.

All the while, the events leading to The Phantom Menace still happened, as the Great Sith Plan was still in motion. Darth Sidious only took another as apprentice. Only the council had less reservation about Qui-Gon and then Obi-Wan taking Anakin as apprentice.

Over the years, Maul matured, and while Anakin knew of him, he didn't think much of him, as he was way older than him. When the Clone Wars finally began on Geonosis, Maul was already a Jedi Knight, and he was besides his old master when they witnessed the deaths of so many Jedi. Maul was horrified, but he tried to control it and defended himself until the clone army finally arrived. During the Clone Wars, Maul was assigned a padawan in order for him to prepare becoming a jedi master. That padawan was a young Togruta named Ashoka Tano. Maul had a hard time adapting to becoming a master and a guide, but in truth, their temperaments weren't that afar from one another. And they were a force to reckon with when working as a duo, especially when Master Mundi joined them on the front from time to time, still trying to keep his promise to Talzin after all those years, not that he still thought about it, but he was genuinely trying to protect his former student.

The battles took place one after the other, and Maul reveled in it, he lived in it. In the heat of the moment. He was one of the best jedi generals in the war. But Maul had a knack for the dark side, and he felt it getting stronger and stronger.
At the end of the Clone Wars, the Zabrak and his togruta apprentice were on Mygeeto, leading the clones on Mygeeto alongside his master when he suddenly felt a shift in the force through his connection to the dark side. He immediately felt the danger and protected Ashoka and his master. This key moment allowed the three to defend themselves, they killed a few clones and escaped the battlefield, and fled the Lurmen's world on a starship. They tried to contact the order, they couldn't.

But Maul, and Ashoka, who he also trained to be able to use the dark side when necessary, both concentrated on the force. They had visions of what Young Skywalker did in the Chancellor's office. Even Master Mundi had them. They were confused and did not understand what was happening. When they received Skywalker's message to all jedi calling them to the temple, they decided to go there. Not that they were gullible, they suspected a trap, but they genuinely did not know what was happening, and it was their only chance to know more, and knowledge was crucial if they wanted to survive.
And off they went. But the flight to Coruscant was long, and so, Darth Vader was long gone when they arrived. But they found Obi-Wan Kenobi as they arrived. He was lucky to survive, but he won against General Grievous on Utapau before the clones turned on him. Master Yoda was there as well with Bail Organa, and explained what happened in Kashyyk. Master Mundi, Maul and Ashoka explained what happened to them as well. They were all confused, but they marched onto the temple.

This team was one of the most skilled Jedi in the order, and they killed every clone they came across. Then, they entered the beacon room and Master Kenobi reconfigured the beacon to call to any Jedi still out there to stay out of the temple.

Then, they saw the security holograms of what happened. Maul suspected it since the visions, as did Ashoka, but it was there and then confirmed. Palpatine was the sith lord and Anakin killed Cin Drallig. They were shocked, then Maul and Ashoka became angry, very angry. Maul repeated that he was going to kill him a few times and almost departed when Master Mundi grabbed him and master Yoda called to him. That was one of the few times were Master Yoda ever spoke to him firmly. He may have been a confirmed jedi, but Cin Drallig was one of the best in the order and Skywalker just killed him. It would have been suicide for Maul to just go, even with Ashoka.

Master Mundi then conferred with Master Yoda and Master Kenobi. Obi-Wan knew Anakin the most and had the best shot at besting him. So Master Mundi and Master Yoda would go to fight the Dark Lord of the Sith, together.

Maul asked if he was going to ever going to see them again. Ashoka never saw her master so emotionnal, but she was just as distraught.

Master Mundi told them that there was one secure location where the Sith would never go find them and to go hide there. Maul impatiently asked where. And his heart almost exploded when he heard his master say "Dathomir.". He was finally going home, but as a fugitive, and Mother Talzin would protect them. The Cerellian said that he would join them if they survived what was going to happen.

Then, Maul had tears going down his eyes. And Ashoka was confused And Master Mundi told them "I protected you for so long. I cannot anymore. The force be with you." Maul responded in kind.

All the jedi then left their separate ways. Maul couldn't believe he was finally going home, and explained to Ashoka who Mother Talzin was. Meanwhile, his master recited a force meditation, preparing for what would be the most important and the most dangerous fight of his life as he and Yoda went to the Senate.

When Yoda and Mundi entered the chamber where Palpatine was, and force pushed the guards, the senator was shocked. Two of the Jedi High council masters survived. Two of the most skilled in the order, in fact. And they were here for him. He cackled, after all, he killed jedi masters just as skilled mere hours before.

They exchanged words, and Palpatine decided to take out the most skilled of the two right now. Electricity flew out of his hands, and Yoda flew back and hit the ground. Master Mundi ignited his lightsaber and Palpatine cackled as electricity flew from his hands, that Master Mundi blocked with his saber. The Sith lord taunted the two Jedi as Yoda got up and force pushed him back. Palpatine realized what he was up against and tried to escape, but both jedi blocked the entrance and he ignited his own saber. Both jedi pressed the attack so Palpatine retreated to the heights and used the senate pods. and when Palpatine saw Yoda send back a pod that Palpatine just launched, he escaped, but only for Ki-Adi-Mundi to attack him with his lightsaber. Palpatine used force lightening and Mundi tried to parry, but he got disarmed and before the lightening could hit the master, Yoda spun around and concentrated with the force to block the lightening.

And all three of them were sent flying. Mundi and Yoda fell on the floor and they knew that they couldn't defeat Sidious, even together. so they tried to escape. Yoda went through the vents. And Ki-Adi Mundi used the force to retrieve both his own Saber and Yoda's and escaped.

He escaped by tearing through clones from the Coruscant guard, getting clipped in the hip. Yoda contacted him and told him to go out a window from a level below. Mundi agreed and managed to escape by joining Yoda and Organa on Organa's flying speeder. Both masters recognized that they had failed and needed to go in exile. They went to Polis Massa where they saw Kenobi come back with the dying Senator Amidala. She gave birth, and died. Obi-Wan agreed to take the boy to Tatooine, while Organa took the girl to Alderaan. Master Mundi, on the other hand, had promised Maul and Ashoka he would join them, so he did.

On Dathomir, Master Mundi helped Maul perfect Ashoka's training and he reflected with his former pupil on the failings of the high council. There, hidden on a Dark Side planet, Ashoka trained. Maul had begged Mother Talzin to protect her and his master while the latter was dueling the sith lord and Kenobi fought the new Darth Vader. And she agreed, even though it was mildly inconvenient to her. Maul, however, felt helpless as he witnessed his master's defeat while he couldn't even be there, and he grew restless. He secretly sought his mother behind his master's back and she helped him develop dark side powers, which he helped Ashoka develop as well. In due's time, they departed the world with Mundi's ship. And they actively sought the Sith to fight them. In a few months, they attracted the Inquisitorius, and killed every one of those who went to fight them. They also encouraged resistance against the Empire whenever possible.

Sidious became aware of it and tasked Vader, still adjusting to his suit, to take care of it.
Maul and Ashoka attracted and embushed Vader on Mygeeto. Maul and Ashoka's fighting style was unlike anything Anakin or Vader ever faced, as it mixed dark side nightsister magic, Vaapad and Makashi as well as Juyo. and both of them worked in tandem, him and Ashoka. Together, they pressed Vader. Maul even taunted him, calling him Anakin and a failure to make him lose control. Vader threw into a frenzied rage and Maul used it against him in Vaapad. Finally, they managed to corner him, and to kill him, and Vader, in his last breath, cursed them, calling them cowards, trying to cope with the rage he felt and the sorrow he felt.

When they returned to Dathomir, Master Mundi was shocked to hear what they did, as even Kenobi failed to kill Vader on Mustafar. He intronised Maul as a true Jedi Master and Ashoka as a Jedi Knight. But he knew that even now, they did not have a chance against the Emperor. And so, they remained hidden until the resistance grew and grew. And While a certain Luke Skywalker was growing up in Tatooine.

So, was a bit bored and started thinking about Orys Baratheon. Why is that? Because something us is weird with the guy. Every depiction of him, like the one I put here, shows him with characteristic Baratheon features, black hair.

Weirdly enough, it's also the typical depiction of a Durrandon, especially his wife, Argella. We're told that he was a childhood friend to Aegon the Conqueror and possibly a commonborn bastard half-brother to Aegon and his sisters. That may seem like a coincidence, as we have seen dragonseeds without the characteristic white hair and purple eyes, but usually, it's due to generations of diluting the dragonblood, while on the other hand, every instance we've had of a Baratheon marrying into House Targaryen or House Velaryon ended up being black of hair.

You could possibly argue that it's still depictions, not necessarily something meaningful as it's intended for the audience. And you might be right, only for a few details.
-First, we do know of books retracing the genealogy of the noble houses of Westeros WITH actual description of facial features, Ned even uses it to prove that the Baratheons have a strong seed and that Joffrey&co aren't Robert's.
-Second, the books in which we see those descriptions, like F&B or TWOIAF aren't just canon. They canonically exist inside the world, written by maesters. We thus could theoretically think that the depictions in the books also not just exist but are at least semi-canon.

-In TWOIAF, Orys is textually described as black of beard and black-haired.

So now that we've established that it's most likely if not outright certain that Orys had black hair(and black eyes), why is that important? It's not. At least not for Orys himself. That might tell us something instead.
The answer might be propaganda but it's a boring and bit lazy explanation and we know that maesters tend to use testimonies of people who were there to write. Not that it excludes propaganda, but Aegon's rule was far stronger than Aenys' and Maegor's, and Orys never really was challenged internally that we know of, so there's less incentive to propaganda. So let's start to work on a few theories.

We know Orys became the first Hand of the King because Aegon told that he was he right-hand man. So what if Orys wasn't Aegon's brother literally but symbolically? We know with Robert and Stannis that Baratheons tend to view friends are family(Jon Arryn and Ned for Robert & Cressen for Stannis), probably Lyonel as well if we do count AKOTSK, separate canon, like the other shows, but still close enough to give us a nudge in the right direction. The text also never outright confirms that Orys really was a Targaryen Bastard, which can be reinforced by the house name, which doesn't sound valyrian at all. So maybe Orys was a commoner who rose to heights due to close connections at Dragonstone. But I won't lie, it's as endearing as it's unlikely. We know of kings and lords rewarding their bannermen with lands, titles, and nobles wives, but a whole kingdom and the daughter of a king? C'mon, be real. It's not like the Qoherys absolute morons who "only" got awarded Harrenhal, even though that's a massive castle and with large lands, it's off the... scale.

In a similarly interesting but unlikely manner, he might have been a Storm. A Durrandon Bastard from whatever Storm King, possibly Argilac the Arrogant himself, who got to Dragonstone as a child and got raised there, with a possible connection to the future alliance between Aegon and Argilac during the War against Volantis. It's my favorite theory.

In all likelihood, Orys WAS a targaryen bastard, but mayhaps was he a Targ-Durrandon bastard. Bad temper(Lord Wyl paid for it with his hand), black hair, martial enclined, and surprisingly, no revolts. I mean, during Aenys' reign, the realm was in a dumpster fire. Revolts in the Iron Islands, the Qoherys extinction due to revolts because of illegitimacy, a Vulture king... But the Stormlands were spared from being contested by other lords. Yes, Orys married Argella, took her house's arms and words but there might have been secondary branches of the Durrandons and other contenders and other conquerors' pawns have been challenged even when they already were part of the picture before, like the Tyrells or the Tullys. But nothing. Maybe Orys just wasn't a nobody targ bastard who rose to power and stayed that way for no reason. If he was already having Durrandon blood, then he had the legitimacy like Ronard the Bastard who restored the Stormlands to their glory.

First, I was in Skyrim doing the Sheogorath questline but instead of Pelagius I found Hadvar and killed Mortal Kombat characters who tried to sneak up on my character. Weird but normal. Then, with no transition, it becomes a realistic setting and I ended up in a forest with two people but only one was speaking with me, we walked to a wooden building and entered. What I felt is that it was an orphanage. And they had a rats problem. I Even found rat tails here and there. Then, as I was discussing the fact that they had a massive metal pole to try and block the entrance, a scream/roar. It switched to Lego games art style. I knew exactly what to do, I don’t why, and ran downstairs. A massive scaly beast destroyed the wall and followed me, roaring all the way and trying to kill me.

What’s weirder with all that is that I haven’t played a Lego game in like 11 years and Skyrim in months.
