I’m planning on hosting an art contest from September 1-Nov 30. The prizes are pure GB. Anyone can enter, all types of entries accepted, and whoever enters automatically gets 1 GB too.
Just wondering if these GB prizes are enough to encourage people. Would you make art with 200+ GB on the line?
I was thinking that the more people enter, I’d increase the GB prize up to 150.
So as some of you know I’m planning on hosting an art contest. One of the ocs I want people to draw is my oc. But I wanted to include a second option for ppl to draw since my guy can have a bit of a complex design. He’s pretty colorful too which might be harsh on the eyes.
The thing is the second option is an oc that belongs to a friend that doesn’t play lioden, but she’s given me permission to include her oc in the contest. I have the oc’s ref sheet and everything.
Also is Imgur still ok for posting images?
I’m an artist that hates making art. Ironic I know. But I’m a huge perfectionist and drawing drains a lot out of me. A simple drawing that should take the average person a few minutes takes me an hour.
But if I’m really invested in an rp, I want to show some appreciation. The thing is that there’s a little voice in my head that tells me “they’re just going to leave anyways, so don’t bother”. Whenever I do happen to make fanart, it’s of my own oc so I don’t feel like I’m “wasting my time” when I make art.
The thing is that there’s voice in my head has never been proven wrong. RPs never last, whether it’s my rp partner’s decision or admittedly my fault. I just… idk. It’s not just rp too, this is a mentality that stands in other aspects of my life. So I’m in therapy for this.
I really want to break out of this mindset. It’s just really sucky. I feel super selfish constantly showing art of my oc only to never show art of theirs.

Hello!! I’m Butter. I’m 22 years old and I have about 10ish years of rp experience under my belt. I prefer to do third person writing and write about two paragraphs minimum. The length fluctuates depending on the scene and I try to mirror. I only rp on discord. And this rp will be in a modern setting.
My boy is the only celestial being who manufactures and sends dreams to the human realm. Imagine him like Santa Claus but for dreams and nightmares. His operations are located in a place called the “dream realm”.
Your oc could be maybe a longtime business partner of his, someone who managed to catch him while he was trying to deliver a dream, or maybe a worker of his. Or something totally different!! I’d love to see it. I’m always willing to throw ideas out there :)

This is coming from someone who needs to get their money up. (Took a huge break btw, this is pretty obvious) I really want to host an art contest, but I’m hesitant to dip into my savings.
Over the years I usually have no issue stocking up on breeding items and selling them out of season and making a decent profit. I’ve always told people that’s the secret to making GB in lioden. But lately I’ve noticed that nothings biting.
No crunchies, ochre powders or gnawrocks. And the value has gone down for some items too. I could’ve sworn crunchies were 40 each?
Would people still be interested enough to participate in an art contest if breeding items were a prize, maybe second or third? What about a RLC? I know that the first prize needs to be GB. How much is the right amount to get people willing to participate?
I’d hate to host a contest only to get like two people participating.

My king is getting ready to croak. My priority is getting a king that’ll rack up stud requests, not if they’re pretty or anything. Either way, they’re getting stat repped with a G1 1.7k groupie.
I’m debating on kinging the first guy. I’d change his base obvs. Something with golden genetics preferably because of mngwa breeding. But I’d also change it if there’s a seasonal combo base to breed for. Do people even like seal bombs anymore??
