Fairly long read ahead.

I usually read title update release notes whenever Ubisoft releases an update, but somehow I completely missed Black Tides, despite being shown first on the webpage. Duh. Maybe because 80% of the posts in this subreddit after the update has been nothing about Domains, washes out other contents.

I was kinda surprised with the new questline when I started it, turns out there's another free content. I like it. It enriches the world and lore quite a bit in the short span time that it was designed for. And the combats are pretty well done, the enemies can do stuff that have never seen before. Not a cheap (deal +40% damage whilst receive -50% damage) bullshit that Domains offer. The story is good, has ups and downs.

I do however, have some complaints. Firstly, I dislike the scripted loss combat. For context, in the first few main quests of Yasuke when he just started to learn to be a swordsman, there are 2 combats that are scripted loss which made to be believable because the enemies are genuinely difficult to be dealt with the lack of skills and whatnot from the newbie Yasuke. But in Black Tides, as a level 100 character with 64 mastery level, winning the fight is a matter off using two active skills. When I say "winning" I mean until the post-combat cutscene starts.

Secondly, Nirmala. As an Indonesian from Java.. I'd be lying if I wasn't happy. I think this is the first time Indonesia (or at least a part of it) is included in the AC universe. Her clothing.. I can understand if it's just a modified Yurei-Walker robes, but I'm not sure what sort of patterns the cloth has. Admittedly I'm not that knowledgable when it comes to traditional clothing. But to my eyes, the colors & patterns on Nirmala's outfit just doesn't scream Javanese.

Annnd her weapon. She dual-wields katana and naginata which is very cool (not to mention her dexterity is matching Naoe). Buuttt... her signature weapon is a bit of a miss.

It's styled with a wavy blade typical of a keris, which is a Javanese melee weapon. The trouble is, kerises are small. The size of a dagger or, you know, tanto. There is a type of sword with wavy blade called kalis, which was developed from the design of keris, just enlarged. But kalis was founded and became popular in Kalimantan and Sulawesi, not many found in Java. Furthermore, the waviness of the blade on kalis isn't as wavy as it is on keris.

In my mind, Nirmala picked up this sword as she went pass Kalimantan on her way from Java to Japan.

I've played for 320 hours, level 100 on the first NG+. I've been noticing in this level 100 (probably the same previously but never noticed soz) that whether you play as Yasuke or Naoe, you get less XP per enemy kill on a combat than you do on a successful assassination. I think about 50% less.

At level 100, you can easily make Naoe as lethal in combat as Yasuke, with the addition of also better stealth than she was at level 10.

But on the flip side, although Yasuke is definitely a better combatant at level 100 than he was at level 10, his stealth doesn't get any better. None of the options on the skill tree adds to his stealthiness, other than that one game update to make him able to silently choke an NPC unconscious.

Yasuke at level 100 is just as easily get detected by enemies and not dexterous to parkour as he ever was at level 10, so you generally cannot creep up to enemies to assassinate them. Not to mention he always calls out the enemy when he's behind one, inadvertently call nearby NPCs.

Stealthily clearing out a castle with Yasuke is not impossible, but so difficult and time consuming that it discourages you. And it's not likely you get more XP doing an assassination (not his forte) than Naoe beating an enemy in a combat (not necessarily her forte), and vice versa. As a result you'd resort to slash & dash, receiving less XP overall. With Naoe, you could jump off rooftops, double assassinate close-by guards and jump back up, acrobatic shit. (Well, unless you do want to torture yourself with Yasuke's slow pace)

I suppose the "reward" is you can really quickly do the slash & dash tactic? I mean the dash tackle skill that he's got can literally one shot a low-level enemy. But, again, for less XP than you do with a brutal assassination.

I have a 30-second, 1080p, 30 (not 29.97) fps timeline consists of several After Effects scenes. When I tried to export it to H.264 1080/30, the Encoding Settings\Performance, Hardware Encoding is chosen, with Profile on Main, Level 4.2; changing between CBR and VBR 1-Pass doesn't matter (I heard that 2-Pass doesn't work for hw encoding?). It always renders using the CPU and kinda limited to 30-50% usage. The dGPU is basically inactive.

This happens on two machines

• desktop with i7-12700, 32 GB DDR4 dual channel, RTX 3050, 512 GB NVMe
• laptop with i7-10750H, 32 GB DDR4 dual channel, GTX 1660Ti, 512 GB NVMe

The Nvidia Studio Driver on both are up to date.

Is it an After Effect thing?

My Hifiman H400SE just bit the dust after 3 years, right driver just f**king died.

I wish to have the same characteristics to the HE400SE; wide soundtage, pretty bassy and have deep bass. I kinda want another planar magnetic for those characteristics, but I don't mind dynamic drivers if for the higher price than the HE400SE, they can last much longer. I maybe able to push to $200.

Almost 3 weeks ago when I tried the free Grok image generation.. it's useless. Saying they didn't pass moderation despite making sfw images (genuinely just fantasy animals.. riding a motorbike). Subbed to the Lite thing, it worked alright. Could do 20 image generations (including failed ones because of mOdERatiOn) every 24 hours or so.

Used it everyday for 3 days in succession and then stopped. Last weekend, 12 fucking images and hit the limit already, that included 3 that were outruled.

Today? 7.

Thus far, it has generated 47 images that passed mOdERatiOn, when I thought it could have done hundreds if I had been using it everyday with the same "limit" as the first day.

Welp, at least I haven't enter the 2nd month.

Motorku KLX 150, mesinnya selalu brebet ketika di kecepatan (cukup) tinggi, sekitar 50km/h ke atas. Biasanya berasa di gigi 4 setelah lepas gas, ketika digas lagi rada batuk gaada tenaganya sepersekian detik. Lebih berasa lagi di gigi 5 di rpm mesin yg sama (kecepatan 65+).

Sama yg lebih mengkhawatirkan pas hujan, lebih sering brebet lagi mulai di gigi 2 dan bisa sedetik lebih baru clear.

Feelingku masalah karburator (ga pernah oprek) tapi mungkin juga busi atau coilnya khususnya pas basah karena kayaknya karbunya ga kena basah kalau hujan, sedangkan coil kena cipratan ban depan.
