Debating on a 270 but don't know if it's a need.

Got a buddy trying to sell me a 270 for a decent price but idk if I really need it. I consider firearms a tool and it doesn't fit in my toolbox based on what I already have. I hunt heavy woods in the Ozarks.

Current lineup:

22 LR- Ruger American

243- Browning BLR

25.06- Browning A Bolt

350 legend- Savage Axis 2

30.06- Rem 783

Unbuilt AR lower- unknown caliber as of yet

I only deer hunt and small game and except being able to use a heavier bullet over the 25.06, I don't think it'll fit in anywhere.

I know some folks will tell me to just get it to add to the collection but idk, I think I'd rather have something like a 6mm Rem or some flavor of short magnum but even then, they aren't a need.

Am I overthinking this?

Time for a new rifle.

Debating on a new rifle for deer hunting. Currently, I have a 243, 25.06, 350 L, 30.06 and a 22LR. All bolt minus the 243 and it's a lever. Plus a few shotguns.

Anyway, I've been debating on a 308, find a cheap Axis for a couple hundred bucks but then I stumbled upon a 6.5 Swede and that got me thinking.

Which would you go for? Sub 200 yards, wooded Ozarks hunting, no open fields. Not interested in punching paper or long range.

Long action vs short action makes me no difference either.

I reload for everything minus shotgun, rimfire and 350 Legend so I'll reload for whatever caliber I decide on.

I have no need for any bullet larger than 140-150gr. Largest I shoot is 165 FTX in the 350 since they don't make anything smaller that isn't FMJ, at least that I can find.

Thoughts?

New coal ship.

Looking for a new coal ship up to the 180k coal price. I'll save more if the more costly ones are worth it.

I like torpedos but not required, quick reload(sub 15s) and honestly, that's about it. Surveillance radar is cool too.

My main ships I enjoy playing are the Prinz Eugen, New Orleans, Congress isn't horrible, Aoba, Deutschland, Huanghe, and Furtaka.

I don't really grind any lines or anything and don't take myself to seriously. I usually play co-op and operations. I get smoked on ranked and random.

I dont have any tier ix ships.

[Seiko] got these as a tip from a customer a few minutes ago

I do HVAC for a living and was talking to the homeowner. I noticed his Seiko quartz was jumping so I told him about it being low on battery. He thanked me and we continued to talk. I showed him a few photos I had of my seikos and gshocks and he said he had a couple that didn't work and no one would fix around here. I explained about the service center and having to send them in and again, he thanked me.

I went under the house, got everything wired up and the new unit is working and he hands me these in a bag. The automatic works, the quartz does not. He said he wanted to contribute to my collection and maybe I'll get some use out of them.

I love the automatic. I hear the rotor spinning when I shake it and it sounds rough but does work. I'll swap the battery on the quartz and see if I can get it going.

Looking for pcie wifi cards for windows 10.

I recently bought the MSI Hearld wifi 7 pcie card. Well, wifi 7 doesn't work with windows 10 so it got sent back. Got the refund from Amazon today and I'm looking for a pcie card that works for windows 10.

I've looked at the tp link and a couple others and I've read to try to get the Intel chipsets. I've looked at the Cudy brand as well and the reviews are very, mixed. It's cheap, but, idk.

My motherboard(Asus maximus hero ix) came with an m.2 wifi card slot and I've debated going that route but I'll need to piece it all together.

I use a TP link USB dongle but my speeds and latency are quite bad at times. I've also debated on just running a cable from the living room, under the house and into my bedroom and just hardline it. Wife doesnt like that idea.

I'd like Bluetooth too since I can omit another dongle I use as well.

Thoughts on the Howa M1100 22lr

Sold my last 22 a while back and have an ammo can full of 22LR ammo so I'm getting another one. Prefer bolt action and there's a local lawn shop with a Howa M1100.

I'm currently at work and I've glanced at a review or two and minus some feeding issues, they seem to be a good rifle.

I was debating on a 10/22 but the other store had already sold it.

I had a Ruger American, gen 1 but no shop here has one and since I'm very impatient, I shop local.

Water-cooling upgrade for 7700k and rx 480

Picked up an 8gb xfx rx 480 and she's running about 70-75c under load. I have an AIO for my processor and was wondering how these things do with a water block. I've seen there's a few for sale but they seem to be proprietary for certain water cooling systems.

System specs (I built it when the CPU first came out)

Asus maximus ix hero mb

I7-7700k

64gb Corsair Vengeance ddr4 ram

Xfx rx 480 8gb

Corsair 240mm AIO

Samsung 850 pro 1tb SSD

4tb total spinning drives

Coolermaster case

My cooler doesn't really fit so I've debated on either cutting the case to make it fit or getting a new one but before that, I'd like to see what my options are for water-cooling the GPU.

I know my system is very lack luster but it serves my purposes well and I have no issues with it. In order for me to upgrade it would be a full build and my wife is getting a new desktop before I do so I won't be doing anything except maybe a new GPU, nvme and more ram.

Who plays on steam or with the standalone client?

I've played on the standalone for years now and never migrated to steam. I tried, but for some reason it links my actual steam account and not my wargaming account so I just uninstalled it and went back to the client.

Are there any pros or cons to using steam over the client? I have other games I play on steam so when they started letting you link them I thought it would save a bit of time. Also, stuff seems cheaper on steam than the client.

Dan Post exotic longevity

Looking for a new pair of work boots. I've got a pair of Ariat and a pair of Double H. I'm looking for a something a bit more, fancy. I've got RedWings as well but they are mainly for hunting since they are insulated.

Dan Post has some Caimen belly and tail I really like but $500. The price isn't horrible but I want them to last. I do HVAC so I'm either in attics, crawl spaces, walking on gravel or working in the shop on concrete floors.

My Ariats are fine, feet don't hurt

My Double H are my more nice boots so I don't wear them as often but they get worn a good bit. I'm always in boots.

Please don't judge me to hard for exotics at work.

I don't like the fish skin boots and everyone that has exotics has ostrich so I'm not to keen on those.

Looking for non premium ship with torps and high HP pool

Greetings,

Long time player but very novice. I'm looking for a non premium high HP pool ship with torps. I mainly use Prinz Eugen, New Orleans, Adba and I'll throw in Dallas and Pensacola. I've got 27m credits and 46k coal. Only 4900 steel.

The premium ships I do have are Kil,Prinz Eugen, Leningrad, Duke of York, Foca and Marblehead. I thought about trading in one for something else but I have no idea what is be looking for lol

I really like torps but I hate low HP pools like alot of destroyers have soni play mainly cruisers.

I focus on non premium because I don't like spending real money on games so I'd like to use what I got.

Brought a Browning home

Got a 1970 Browning BLR in 243, Belgian made, first year of production. Put it in layaway and it was only in for 8 days. I'm very impatient.

Paid less than 1k so I feel like I got a good deal. I removed the scope since its got irons and this will be used for a woods gun here in the Ozarks.

I did trade in another 243 I had, TC Compass but I feel like this one might be a bit better. The Browning will not chamber my reloads since they were for the bolt action but I've got enough factory ammo and brass I can manage lol

For as old as it is, it's in great condition. I cleaned it the best I could but I'll take it to a gunsmith and have him take it apart and clean it and oil it since these are a PITA to work on.

I'll be loading everything from 55/58 gr vmax up to 85-100 gr.

Brought the BLR home tonight

Pulled the scope off since it's got irons and it got in the way of the hammer.

First year of production, 1970, 243 and semi clean. Belgium made.

I'll be going shooting tomorrow to see how she shoots and get the irons dialed in.

Paid less than 1k.

I'll take it to a gunsmith after shooting to get it cleaned and gone over since these actions are a nightmare to work on and I don't have the ability to competently do it. Bolts I'll work on but this thing is supposed to be a PITA.

Made in Belgium, 1970, 243.

Got it in layaway and I'll be bringing it home this weekend. I'll be removing the scope and using irons. It'll suit me well in the woods of Arkansas.

I traded in my tc compass 243 so I could get this lol. I'm not a fan of having multiples of the same caliber. The compass shot good but I think I'll like this one more.

She's HEAVY.

And yes, I know not to lose the mags because they are stupid expensive.

Always been a bolt guy but I was at the pawn shop and they had this in the back. I jumped on it. They were asking 900, I put $540 down.

I'll be removing the scope and using just irons for Arkansas woods deer hunting.

1970 BLR in 243.

Traded my tc compass 243 in as well since I figure this is a better option lol

It'll pair well with the A Bolt I have in 25.06 I imagine.
