Class pass classes going up in credits?

Im on the cheapest class pass tier, 8 credits a month for $19. I know that gets practically nothing, but it works out for me because I use it to take 2 spin classes a month at the cyclebar near me for 4 credits each. (and then I just have a regular membership at my local gym). The spin classes have been a nice way to add more cardio.

But lately, I have not seen a single class listed for 4 credits anymore. It’s been like 2 weeks and still nothing. Does this mean class pass itself has raised the # of credits per class, or is the cyclebar studio the ones that raised the credits per class? So disappointing if it’s become more expensive.

Where to park in Lenox, MA?

Staying in Pittsfield but have a wedding 15 min away at the Kemble Inn in Lenox. Not sure what to do for transportation. We were told the venue only has about 30 spots for parking, and that there is street parking until 1AM but the town can be iffy on that? The church that’s nearby also has another event going on at the same time so that’s not an option (they usually let wedding guests park there I guess). and I’ve read that uber can be unreliable.

Sooo any ideas/options/experience?? I was hoping to just get there a bit on the early side to find street parking. Or are there any other places like a plaza parking lot that would work? Any taxi services that are reliable that I can book ahead of time?

Edit: not sure why this got downvoted🫠 also just looked into street parking more and it seems it’s a max limit of 3 hours.

Can I risk pet sitting my friends small dog for 5 days?

My friend needs a dog sitter for 5 days and she asked me and I said yes without thinking of my lease. I decided to go back and look at my lease and found that it says this: “Pets – Tenants are not permitted to have pets of any kind on premises.” This is all the entire lease says about pets.

For some reason, I thought we were at least allowed a cat with approval. I’m almost positive the landlord told us this when we first signed the lease and he went over it with us, but I can’t remember as this was a few years ago. Our lease also says no use of the backyard but he told us that’s outdated and we can use the yard. So I’m not sure if other aspects aren’t as enforced as well. For the most part, our landlord is pretty chill and doesn’t live in state. Our previous neighbors upstairs used to have a large dog, and our current upstairs neighbors have cats.

Also, it’s time for us to resign / renew our lease for the next year, and he sent a new lease over that now states we can have animals in the unit with approval/pet rent fees.

Overall I think he would be okay with it but I’m not sure if it’s worth bringing up. If he says no, I’ll be leaving my friend last minute without a pet sitter. If I don’t tell him I think it’d be pretty easy to just have the dog for a few days as she’s a chill shy small lap dog, but I do not want to risk losing this apartment.

Should I go to the wedding or not?

I’ve been invited to a wedding of an old friend of mine. We haven’t seen eachother in person since 2023 and haven’t really spoken at all besides some random HBD texts throughout the years and maybe some IG DMs. We were never superrrr close friends but we were part of the same social group for a long time (like 6 years). I was surprised when I received wedding save the dates from her last year, and now it’s been another year and I have to rsvp by this week for her summer wedding.

I feel kinda bad if I don’t go, but I don’t necessarily want to go. I won’t know anyone, not even the groom, and I barely talk to the bride anymore. It’s close enough (less than 2 hours) that I could maybe get away with driving back home and not staying too late to avoid having to pay for a hotel or airbnb. I’m allowed a plus 1 so I’d want to bring my bf but I don’t wanna force him to go either since we’d both know no one.

At the same time, I have an old wedding guest dress that could work for this. I could just wear that and attend and leave by like 9 or 10pm to get back home. It may be awkward sitting there for a few hours and not knowing anyone but idk.

TL;DR: need to decide if I should attend the wedding of an old friend whom I haven’t seen since 2023 and barely speak to, where I won’t know anyone at the wedding including the groom. My bf would be my plus one but I also feel bad making him come to this where we may both be sitting around alone. It’s close enough that I could probly attend and get back home without having to pay for a hotel but I can’t decide if it’s really a big deal or not if I don’t go.

How should I release my EP?

I was originally going to release my EP doing the waterfall release style but now I’m not too sure. Sounds a bit too complicated and I don’t like how it makes everything unorganized and etc with a bunch of releases.

I don’t want to only release the EP only though.

Could I release 2 songs from my EP as singles and then release the full EP after? I plan to have 4 or 5 songs on my EP, I have 4 ready right now. So I would take the 2 songs that I think are best for a single and release those and tease/talk about my upcoming EP. Which then will have the last 2-3 songs on it.

If I do it that way, how do I release the singles so that way they are still part of the EP? Do I release them again on the EP once I submit that?

I don’t have much of a fan base really and I do already have 5 singles out. My goal isn’t necessarily to get tons of streams. But I just wanted to put out a more cohesive body of work and talk it up a bit so I can still market it.

Thoughts on this wedding guest dress for an American-Indian wedding?

My friend who is American/filipino and her finance who is Indian are getting married this summer at a pretty summery outdoor New England US venue. Their dress code for the wedding day says “formal—bright, joyful palettes, elevated fabrics, comfortable shoes for dancing” and it says Indian, Filipino, and Western attire is welcome the whole wedding weekend.

I am just attending the wedding, and am wondering if this dress works? I just wanted to stay Western, but figured the little dupatta plays into Indian attire at least a bit. And I plan to dress it up with gold accessories & gold heels etc.

Does this cost sound reasonable for the items that I have to get hemmed?

I needed to get a wedding guest dress hemmed, a pair of jeans, and a maxi dress I got at Marshall’s. All were just too long.

The lady quoted me $215 and I was taken aback but too timid in the small store full of people to negotiate or ask why… so I said ok and left. I’m wondering if she potentially upcharged me because I said one was for a wedding. I also am wondering if it would be ok for me to call back and ask for the price per item, because for future reference I have no idea how much the pants were by themselves vs the dress etc. This place is apparently very top tier so I guess it could make sense but I do feel like it was a lot. Even if the wedding guest dress cost me like $120, the cheap maxi dress from Marshall’s would still be like $50+??

This is the wedding guest dress. Its longer in the back and she is just making it all one length all around so it’s more comfy and easier to walk in:

Itinerary for vieques? Renting a golf cart?

I’ll soon be spending 2 nights in vieques with my bf. Here’s our plan right now:

Day 1: -drive to ceiba ferry and take the 10am ferry

-arrive around 1130, take shuttle to Vieques utv car rental & pick up golf cart

-head to hotel in Esperanza (hacienda tamarindo) and at least drop off our bags if we can’t check in yet, then get lunch somewhere

-explore black sand beach, relax at hotel pool and get local dinner etc

-bio bay tour that night

Day 2: -beach day in vieques. Planning on just going to sun bay beach and Caracas beach as they seem easiest/closest to get to on the golf cart.

-nice dinner somewhere

Day 3: -take the 10am ferry home (drop off golf cart by 830am)

Questions:

I’m a bit worried about renting a golf cart. I see either negative or almost fear mongering posts about it, and then I see posts saying it’s fun and completely fine. Im also not sure if it’ll be ok to drive the golf cart with our luggage in it? We would need to put our 2 carry ons and personal items in the golf cart for the way from the ferry terminal to our hotel & then back. I just want to be able to get around a little, and don’t need to explore the entire island since I’ll only be there 1 full day. Does this itinerary sound doable with a golf cart? Or should I switch to renting a Kia before it’s too late??

Where should we go to dinner on both nights?

Is the flight really that much better than the ferry? The flight to Vieques from ceiba is so expensive right now. But if it’ll be that much more stress free I’m kind of tempted. It just feels crazy to rent a car, take an expensive 15 min flight, AND still rent a golf cart on the island lol

I turned 30 on cinco day mayo/taco Tuesday so naturally I had a fun taco night get together at my apartment. I don’t have many close friends, so I was stressing who to invite. I also planned to have food catered, so I didnt want to make it too big and make it super expensive.

I basically overthought my whole party and really dropped the ball on inviting people. I get really socially anxious sometimes. I was worried about mixing friend groups, worried people wouldn’t wanna hang on a Tuesday, worried people wouldn’t want to come to my bday, etc.

I had put in a catering order for 10 people and it did end up being 10 of us. But as it got closer to my party, one of my other friends (who is kind of a newer friend) asked if I was doing anything for my bday, and some of my bfs friends (whom we hang out with a lot and have known for years) also asked him what we were doing. Idk if it’s cuz they were hoping to be part of my plans or if they were just curious, but I immediately felt bad, bc these were people that I had been considering inviting. But it was too late to change the catering order and I was worried there wouldn’t be enough food, so I told them I’m just having a small taco night.

Flash forward to the party, and there was SO MUCH food. Easily enough for 20 people instead of 10. I was so bummed once I saw all the food and realized I could’ve definitely invited more people. The vibe also wasn’t as social as I hoped, and I think a few more people would’ve helped fill the space.

Then today, I get a partiful invite for another friends bday, from a group that I’m more of an outsider in. This was pleasantly surprising as I’ve never been invited to any of these peoples bdays before. I probably could’ve invited some of them to my bday as well.

The point is, I let social anxiety and other fears hold me back from throwing the cinco de mayo bday bash of my dreams! Lol and I only turn 30 once. Maybe this doesn’t sound like a big deal, but I’m frustrated that I started my 30s off with the same anxious habits! I did have a fun time with my few friends who were there, and my bf, sister, and a few of my bfs friends. But I’m just bummed I missed out on doing more and seeing more people. Plus I’ve been really wanting to make more friends and keep up with friendships more. Idk. Hoping I can plan some other get togethers soon to make up for it.

I made a reservation for mid May and got an email about how they can’t accommodate me because their last day of operations is May 2nd! So sad, such a bummer! The place looked beautiful and well spoken of. Just an fyi to anyone who was planning to go there soon!

Goin to PR for a week in May, staying mainly in Condado but also staying in Vieques 2 nights and Luquillo 1 night.

In the Condado area, which beaches will have vendors and stuff around? I don’t plan to swim over there if it looks rough, but if most of the beaches over there are rough I’d like to at least go somewhere where u can get a drink or food. Are there food / drink vendors in Isla verde beach or Ocean park beach? I have memories as a kid of getting parcha Icecream from the guys that walk around with their carts, but that was in Luquillo. I neeeed to have that again haha

For restaurants- we might only have 1 night to try one of these spots: Cocina al fondo, Santaella, or Casita Miramar. Which do you recommend?? They all sound and look so good I can’t decide!

The other nights in San Juan we plan to get Chinese food one night, eat dinner in OSJ one night, and eat closer to our hotel one night around Ashford Ave or Calle Loiza.

Food recs for Vieques or Luquillo would be great too! Open to any type of cuisine and would love authentic delicious food.
