Gen 5 vs Gen 6 felt recoil
I am looking for a range/home defense pistol and had the opportunity try out various Glock gen 5s. I narrowed it down to the 45 and 17, but felt that I shot the gen 5 17 better.
In my country there are no gen 6 available to rent/try but I do like the upgrades on paper, especially the new grip.
I have read online that the gen 6, especially the 17, has a different felt recoil than the gen 5 due to a change in the spring. How much does that matter?
If I preferred the 17.5 over the 45.5, would I still prefer the 17.6 over the 45.6?
Thanks in advance
500 mariner vs 590 mariner
Does anyone have any info on the older 500 mariner (matte version)? Is there any reason to prefer it over a new 590?
Used DT-10 trap vs 688 trap
Would you prefer a (not heavily) used black DT-10 trap (comes with a double barrel + a single barrel) or a brand new 688 trap?
Where I am the 688 is 5000 USD new and I think I can negotiate the DT-10 to about 6/7000 USD.
Vortex LPVO on a Gunsite Scout?
Would a Vortex Razor Gen II HD-E 1-6x24 VMR-2 with the MRAD reticle (SFP) make sense on a 16in Ruger Gunsite Scout in .308 with an XS rail?
Does anyone run something similar? Would a 2-10 make more sense?
My range has a max distance of 200m but I hope to be able to shoot farther once in a while.
Cheers
