A fitting day for this specific Miku I think~
Or maybe not. But hopefully she's still a joy to see.

Or maybe not. But hopefully she's still a joy to see.
If you are awesome you'll know where the cake is from ;D
I'm not the only one seeing this right? this is on the rainbow high youtube channel and it has a rainbow high thumbnail, but it's an omg lol Multilanguage music video? What is happening?
Why did I think I wouldn't like her. I love sparkly dresses. And I love green. She's more minty in person than teal. Her eyes still aren't my favorite. But an eye swap can remedy that. Her make up is more experimental than I gave it credit for. Wish Vella could have gotten this instead of some other unfortunate looks. I hope we do get that 2027 line with her in it. I don't care about the others in the line, but I do care about her.
I love her. Was rainbow the challenge theme? I don't know.
Putting the rainbow in Rainbow High. I have more rainbow accented dolls, but these are the most rainbowy. Doing this to distract from the end of rainbow high.
After an unfortunate even of being thrown at a tree by a tween, my brand new Genevieve had her box hair thoroughly messed up. I took down her hairstyle and this was the result! This Karen hairstyle! It only got worse overnight too!
What should I do to tame this lion's mane. And alternatively could anyone take pictures of her box hairstyle so that I could replicate it.
I just got the third core clawdeen and I let my neice play with her. My neice is rather rough on dolls and after an hour of being thrown at a tree Clawdeen looks like this... :')
I'd like to preserve her curls and not resort to a boil wash and recurl. But I fear that might be impossible. I'm wondering if cold hair + a gently comb through would fix it up? It's mostly just frizzy.
The Duality of Mattel IP dolls. It can't can't be that expensive to give IP dolls proper quality at under 30 dollars can it?
Cut off for this roast is 4 dolls. I made an exception for Natasha because I wanted to include her. I also discluded slim box dolls because I'm not aware of all of them. Hopefully you get some enjoyment out of this. Maybe you'll even agree with some of these~ Even as I come for your favorite dolls >;D. Rainbow World dolls primarily populate this list, but that's more because of the repeat offenders, and its hardly exclusively all them. List is in no particular order btw. Aside from rainbow order.
The more serious judgements, from a habitual complainer:
Slime Ruby: I considered Swim and Jh Ruby. But they have more going for them than Slime Ruby. Slime Ruby is just a rehash of her core but with a doe eyed face.
Series 1 Poppy: I don't like most Poppys. But this one only has her strappy heels and butterfly clips going for her. The rest is clashing colors, a shapeless dress, a mafia execution jacket, and jizz boots. There's ultimately more positives I can say about Cheer and Winter Break.
Swim Sunny: There are no bad Sunnys, just bad quality. I could have put Prismatics Sunny here for bad vinyl, but I can't bring myself to do it. So the poly queen goes here.
JH Jade: unflattering hairstyle that's uneven and choppy when you take it down. At least the other dolls with this hairstyle have long hair that you can do something else with. You can tell she was the first RH doll with short hair. The outfit is alright. Not enough to save her.
MFS Skyler: I like the Silhouette and eye make up but who chose the colors? Why are they trying to make Skyler + Orange happen? I don't usually have a strong opinion on Skyler. She's never bad, but she's also never my favorite. So inevitably this doll is last.
WW Violet: Pancake face, winter coat skirt, sword fight gel hair, insane gimmick. What more can be said? She's battling for last place. But honestly you could tell me that was a new character and I'd believe you. That's when you know the design failed.
PIP Bella: Maybe in time I'll put a different Bella at the bottom. But right now, I hate this one the most. Bella has a lot of misses. Most aren't completely irredeemable, but the sheer abundance is exhausting.
Creative Crystals Amaya: even without the obvious problems of her bald spot and plastic skirt, this doll is boring at best.
MFS Iris: This character can't catch a break. Most of Iris dolls come with random outfits. This one is no different. However, this time she doesn't even have her curls to make up for it.
Series 2 Stella: After all this time I still hate this bug the most. At least her subsequent dolls saw some improvement.
MFS Kia: I wasn't joking when I said My Fashion Style Series 2 was bad. I know people like this doll. Especially more than her PIP doll. And I will concede that the head is nice. But that dress makes me see red. Other Kia dolls just have better clothing pieces even if they don't make a good complete whole.
Series 1 Heather: I hate everything about this Heather. You all can't convince me that she's great!
Budget Shanelle: A black pleather bubble skirt was certainly a choice.
Budget Natasha: mediocre rehash of her core doll. Like Slime Ruby but worse. Hopefully Natasha gets a collector doll, though. :( That's my Copium.
Girl's Night Luna: I don't dislike this Luna. But compared to other Lunas this one is just kind of there.
And that is the list. I could do a positive one about the best, but, believe it or not, there's more dolls I like than dislike. So it would be harder to narrow it down. Feel free to tell me how wrong I am and make your own roast lists. Would be interesting to see~
Amaya's dress from season 2 is very reminiscent of what Suki now looks like. This dress is in the show described as being inspired by Kintsugi. I imagine it probably could have been Delphina's second outfit, had she ever gotten a doll and come with one. Someone at MGA clearly wanted to make a Chinese pottery doll and I'm happy for them.
I don't really like Heather on most days, but these two versions of her pique my interest. But I'm not sure if I'm not completely sold on either of them? To those who have both, and are probably Heather fans, which doll do you recommend?
My personal hang ups.
Collector Heather: I initially liked this Heather a lot in promo photos. She's very Avant Garde. I like the idea of a Butterfly themed dress. But something about her just looks so awkward in all of the in person videos and photos I've seen of her. She just doesn't look right. I'm also not thrilled about her dress being all one piece. Maybe I'd like her better if I personally saw her in person? I really wish they weren't online exclusives. I do like the details on her face and hair, but I'm not sure about it. I feel like I would like this outfit better on a fixed model muse Barbie that is always in an ideal pose to show off an outfit. but of course this dress won't fit on Barbie. If this Heather sold out and I never got her I don't think I would be sad tbh.
Budget Heather: My Walmart finally got this Heather and I was surprised by how much I liked her in person. I didn't buy her, but I think she might have my favorite outfit. I like her dutch braids. Her face looks pretty, but I'm not sure if its better than collector Heather? I would like to have the Heather with the best face, and I believe it's one of these two. But it's hard to judge with only photos. The biggest problem is the budget body. If I get her, I'll probably have to get collector Heather anyway to give her a body. And then I'll have Multiple Heathers...
I guess the ideal solution might be, just get both and swap their heads. But why do I not want to do that?
So who would you all recommend? Most importantly, who has the better head?
The artist who does Rainbow High's 2d art is the goat tbh. I've always been quite fond of the 2d art since day 1. But I Especially appreciate it in the reboot where they make some rather lack luster doll designs look really cute. Like this Skyler. The actual doll is meh but this sprite is kind of stunning. They deserve appreciation. Especially before MGA gets any ideas about eliminating their position.
The harbinger of death is here. River is super cool and is covered in so many cool details. I love her skeleton body. I like to think she is wearing her missing torso on her chest and heels. The material her cloak is made out of sounds so terrible and scratchy. It's pretty but why is it so crinkly. Overall she's exactly how I think a grim reaper character should look.
I'm trying to decide if I want yo put The Creature in the river with her.
Kinda put off posting her for a month. Hope it's still enjoyable though. Please forgive the low camera quality in the dusk photos. I like the colors, but the quality tends to die in low light.
Maybe I'll do a second photo dump with a different flower~
Natasha kind of fits this year's them I think!
I'm kinda down about the fact Natasha and the Mock Orange aren't the same shade if white. Ayesha matched it better last year. :'D
