Englisch Post : don't come to Germany if you are looking for a carrier in the IT (unless you are Super extremely highly talented with +50 years of experience and C2 German language with a God super Saiyan air Bender Final form skills)

Excuse my bad English human generated text: I meet a lot of students from different sports of the world in Germany but mostly Asia, cause I work in the international office at my uni . and it's so sad to see soooo many internationals (bachelor and Master) who are working as a food delivery or cleaning dishes or the so called legally below the minimum wage slavery Jobs, instead of a respected Werkstudent or an internship or a Junior Job, cause the Job market for entry levels is basically dead and the German candidate will always be the better choice to the company mainly cause of the language and culture barriers. I know in some countries especially in India they STILL sell the dream of coming to Germany for a Job visa (it called chance card -6 months visa to find a job) or as a student visa and our politicians spread the lie that Germany is super nice for migrants we have a lot fachkräftemangel and a welcoming culture. Which is both BS. There are over 20k unemployed ITlers and each year the freshly grads are stacking over them, plus there is no sign that the economy is getting better cause of Ukraine war. The Iran war, the avengers Infinity war, and the Chinese cheap Ferraris and E Roller, the extremely high cost of energy. So Finding a Job or even an apartment in medium or large cities is suuuuch a big hustle . Even for the native Germans! It's a big Trap 🪤

Play fighting/fighting- it’s very hard to distinguish!

My new cat (1F) and my resident (3M) seem to be getting along just fine, but their entire playtime involves double zoomies and wrestling and stalking each other. The kitten still plays with me as well, which I try to do to get her aggression out, but my resident has more or less forgotten that playing with me was a thing. If the play gets rough and I separate them, they immediately meow for each other and one invariably runs over to the other.
Should I tolerate the rough play? They separate automatically after a couple of rumbles but I worry. Separating them makes them both restless and panicky and it makes me feel terrible. 😶

Rough play: help!

My new one-year-old cat plays a lot and plays a little rough with my older cat. I’ve often wondered, and sometimes separated them too, when they’re hustling. If I don’t separate them, they have a yelling fight, split up into different rooms and immediately start calling to each other. Or, if one of them leaves the room, the other one immediately calls him till he comes to him. Would that not already be bonded behavior? Do I still need to worry and separate them? They always immediately call to each other after a “fight”.

Should I let my cats eat out of each other’s bowls?

I recently got a new cat (1F) to be a companion to my 3M. She’s still very kitteny and high energy. She’s also very food focused, unlike my older cat, who has never had the slightest food motivation.
The 1M insists on eating out of the OC’s bowl, even though I’m feeding them the same food. She tends to chomp down on the wet food first, while he grazes on both wet and dry food. I keep an eye on her but I’m wondering why or why not it’s necessary at all, that they eat from separate bowls, when they seem to be okay eating from each other’s bowls.
I’d appreciate any advice!

There is no shortage of doctors in Germany.

There is, however, rampant misinformation with agents and agencies in foreign countries that promise a job once one has finished learning German to C1 or above.
That might have been true ten years ago. Nowadays, even without the overwhelming healthcare reform that is going to be started and is going to restructure the bloated healthcare system, there are barely any hospitals that are hiring non-EU doctors, when there are so many native Germans doctors who’ve studied here or those who studied in EU countries and have come back home. Most major hospitals have blanket stopped hiring doctors and are seeking to increase the patient ratio to existing doctors. As part of the new reforms, a lot of station ‘space’ will be shed, which will also mean that fewer doctors are required.

Introducing cats: how to know when it is enough contact?

We have a new one year old and our resident cat is *obsessed* with her. He wants to play and chase, has been trying to sniff noses for a while but the new cat is clearly skittish and overwhelmed. They have visual and nosey access through screen doors between their rooms and I’ve been allowing them supervised visits with access to the whole house.
The problem is that my resident is so enthusiastic about playing with her, he seems to be overwhelming her. He keeps chirping at her to come play. And she’s way too hyperactive for him, it seems like.
I’m not quite sure how much time to allow the both of them together when it invariably leads to them chasing each other and one of them batting the other in the face.
I can’t really play with both of them together because the resident doesn’t and hasn’t ever played like she does, it doesn’t interest him at all. So he watches us play, and then jumps in for a running game, which doesn’t end well. So what exactly do I do?

Hey all! I’ve made a couple of posts in the last few months. Woke up today with a new chapter in the saga of infinite dryness.
(Disclaimer: English is my first language, so whatever errors you find here are me being careless).

The first thing that happened was patches severely dry and irritated skin in the under-eye area, which I attributed to drugstore brand under eye gel pads that I tried out for the first time. That story went on for 6-8 weeks and only really went away after seeing a dermatologist, who prescribed me an antibiotic + steroid ointment. It still made using any form of skincare hell, though. Everything would burn hellishly if it got under my eyes.

While this was still going on, I started getting severe cracking and discoloration at the corners of my lips and severe cracking on my lips. I realized that this was coming from licking my lips, something I’d started doing recently, I guess. I started religiously moisturizing my lips and using Vaseline, and while it has gotten a little better, the discoloration is still very noticeable.

At the _same_ time, I think I got a contact allergy of sorts to a cheap necklace. You can still see the rings around my neck that look almost like strictures. I try not to sleep in jewelry and I guess I did, and it’s been patchy and dry in rings around my neck since.

And today I woke up with a flaky red patch on the side of my upper lip, on the left. I have _NO_ explanation for it. No contact, no allergy, no product, I have no clue. The last few months have been one patch of skin acting up after the other and I can’t make heads or tails of it.

Does anyone have a good theory or has had something similar happen to them?

These came pre-installed in the house I’ve moved into, and the light is pretty harsh. I’m considering finding replacement ‘shades’ for the individual lights, but I have no clue what it’s called.
Appreciate any help!
