Hey Aarhus!

My wife and I used to live in Dublin for a while, we found some friends there who will join us here in Aarhus late November for a tradition we joined in Ireland called *12 pubs.

*12 pubs, is essentially a bar hopping day where we start around mid day and have a beer at 12 bars, some food in between, ending with a party in the city🙌🏻

I have started planning it and now we have found 12 bars to jump.

But I would love to find someone from Aarhus who could help us with:
-Bar selection (to make sure we don’t miss any cool bars)
-Bar games we should try
-Bar traditions, or songs or something fun to add some Danish culture to the day

I have been dumping all my knowledge into documentation over 8 years, created my version of how to write, research, improve on everything from campaign structure based on industry/vertical, to product feed attribute optimization.

Thank f**k I did that because now it’s saving me so much time.

I remember setting up/restructuring an account could take me up to 2 months of full time work (10k products x 5 markets).

And now it takes 2 hours in total to create and then maybe 10 hours to quality control for the same size ecom.

95% passes my manual checks, rest is either tweaked or removed.

It saves me crazy time and lets me focus on finding things and questions I wouldn’t have in the past, I feel like I am delivering waaay more value way faster for more clients.

Is this how most of you are pivoting now as well?
Am I the only one feeling demand and results of GAds services are actually not going down but up rather?

Google is changing how their target settings in bidding algorithms charge advertisers to input based rather than auction based when campaigns are limited by budget.

People say it’s a cash grab by Google, I’m confident it’s something MUCH bigger.

We are seeing Google prepare one of the largest advertising platforms in the world for the future of how online purchases are made.

The foundation of how online purchases are made is changing, for over 2 decades it has been click-based, and the clicks led to a website.

That’s been the norm.
Websites are where people buy. Today.

But the future is chat based. We all see it coming.
We will be buying without ever visiting a website or leaving the chat.

Websites and the clicks will be something that starts looking more and more like the physical newspaper business 2 decades ago, dying.

When your business model is based on charging per clicks to a website, and the future value of clicks AND websites are going down. Where do you exchange value with advertisers to grow as Google?

On the purchase or the lead.
I think we will see a future where Google starts offering a new payment model and move away from just click-based, I think we will see a “pay per lead or purchase” model be introduced.

And just how today, we can show ads for free if users don’t click, I think we will be able to show ads for free if users don’t convert.

And if they do, Google will grow at an insane rate.

I'm so excited for my dad that I had to post.

Today, my dad was able to generate 349 SEK (€30) from a ticket sale to his paint workshop, and it has made me the most excited I have felt in a long time.

I am not an artist, I’ve been doing marketing for over 8 years, managed millions of dollars in budgets and revenue.

But this, this felt amazing! Because it came from a website I built, not for myself, but for my dad. He is an artist who is not the best at tech, sales or marketing. But he is a great artist and person.

Last year, I decided to find out if we can make him a living from his passion. Something he had never achieved. And this summer with some free time on his hands after he got laid off, we made the idea come to life.

Our business thesis:

Our bet is that offline, events, digital detox and art all have an increasing demand. So low price ticket workshops became our focus of what to sell to end consumers locally, then get them back when they realize it's a fun time, they spread the word and eventually it might lead to high ticket events and art/print sales.

Our venue:

My dad's friendly with one of the cafe owner in his small town since he frequents there and talks to the owner when he buys there. The cafe closes after 4pm most days, so he managed to convince the owner to rent him the space for the events for just €10/hour after closing, and sales of drinks & snacks go to the owner.

Our revenue model:

Initially we built this just for my dad, but it quickly became bigger as soon as he told me all of his artist friends have the exact same issue with tech, sales, and marketing. We decided that we could make the technology platform that enables artists, and charge €10/month (first month free) plus 10% of any revenue generated through art or ticket sales, as my dad and his friends thought it was fair.

The mission was at first, help dad make money from his passion.
But then it became: Make it as easy as possible for artists to make a living from their craft.

And now, any artist can sign up to the website;

• Create an art event
• List art for sale
• Get paid
• Manage bookings
• Manage tickets
• Manage promotions & discounts
• Mass communicate with their customers.

This first customer for the workshop (next weekend in Lund, Sweden 4th of July, get your ticket!) is not someone we know, never talked to them, never met them, but through the magic of the internet, my dad has a reignited hope that his passion can become his livelihood. I feel an immense gratitude for some reason to everyone who helped build up the knowledge I have accumulated over the years that allowed me to help him. I hope he sells out the tickets.

The marketing:

• Organic on Facebook groups
• We started with local META ads today (€10/day) to try to fill the place up
• My dad is reaching out to his entire network to see if people he knows will book

Automations only save time if you spend less time building them than they save you.

Today I built one in 3 hours that'll give me back 30+ hours a year, or ~4 full working days.

• Every 10 minutes n8n scans my Gmail for invoices and receipts arriving to my finance email alias
• It uses Gemini to figure out which file (or files) in the email is the actual invoice
• It excludes receipts (if there is an invoice), signature images, or the company's terms PDF
• If there are multiple expense files in the email it merges them all to 1 PDF and forwards only that one to Revolut Business for automatic expense matching

No more downloading to upload in the app, I just forward all expense files to my finance email alias, they populate automatically in Revolut and I confirm the matching expenses.

Stack:
• Anthropic Claude Code for building the workflow
• n8n for orchestration (running locally on Docker, Inc)
• Gmail API for the labeling, inbox + sending
• Google Gemini 2.5 Flash for multimodal classification of files in multiple formats (images, pdf's etc.)
• Bound to Revolut Business expense ingestion at the end

I would love to be able to find a group of Aarhus based folks who are in their 20-30s who have a company they actually live off, so I can talk to someone who can relate to my issues as well as share some of my own learnings, over a dinner, sports activities, beers or whatever.

I launched my company 2024, working from my cave at home, I can’t complain, it’s going well, have a small team that I work with from across the world and I’m enjoying it a lot.

Just find it a bit hard to find likeminded people (from my cave) in Aarhus, who have similar problems, and motivations in their day to day.
