A few months back I posted on finally getting started on my childhood dream project of doing my Vraksian Krieg regiment. Since then I’ve manages to do some smalol eBay scores of units. Among them the older resin FW engineers and mole mortars! The older kits only came with shotguns (and gas grenades) but you could add some bits and bobs to the watchmaster. I’m a big fan of the added optics on the engineers

these were a joy to paint and work on, the backpacks were all modular, and the shotguns were a bit spindly. But all intact! The bases for my engineers had more differing pigments of dust and less poisoned ground. To show thay they’re forging ahead of the main advance.

The medusa Chassis for legiones is one of my absolute ”wow, I really want this” for two editions now. and i feel like the build is pretty cool, but man oh man! I do not miss building resin vehicles. I’ll probably blue stuff another crew I own and buy a saux Medusa and remove the crew compartment for my next one.

still. look forward to fielding it.

we have an ongoing badab campagin going on for the last two years. And I figured it was time for me to pull the trigger and finish these landspeeders I picked up over the past year. I got them on flea markets for like 10 bucks a piece. Now I have some transportation for my scouts and some QRF to intervene against all these tax dodging traitors!

yeah so more the fool me really. I wanted to do all 12 in one batch. Adding hazard stripes to tie them into my IV’th legion might be a tad overkill. So it stopped at half of them…

Still, I love that the kit is available in plastic now. It saves my remaining finger prints (if you know you know) and my sanity is slightly less frayed than for my vorax. Sorry about the picture quality.

I’ve been lurking around the Reddit a while and gotten enthused by other peoples army pics and inspired to start my own DKK army. I first saw the kriegers when my buddy had some old FW stuff in ’06 when I started with 40k again (I had some old 2’nd ed snapfit as a kid but mainly played whfb). I was always enthused, but back then we (high school buddies) all had our own armies. and he was THE guard player. he had like 5000 points so the guard angle was coverEd.

now, as a older man child I decided to get all the old IA stuff I always wanted. and my current group is aiming to play the vraks campaign from the books. I actually own a resin ”Renegade and heretics” army. but the twitch to play krieg never left. so I got some plastics for Christmas and decided to get to work.
