How do you keep from getting hung up and snagged in the weeds with ultra light fishing?

All the fish seem to be in the weeds near the bank, and I get that's usually the case with structure, but it seems like smaller panfish are in the shallow weeds a lot and the Ultra Lite tackle gets hung up a lot. What rig can I use to help with snags and not be using live bait?

Do I need to be as concerned with overheating when using 24fps?

I don't need more than 24fps because I want the cinematic look for my project. Does setting up at 24fps affect overheating, particularly, lessen the chance, or certainty, of it?

Edit: Looking at GoPro Hero 10 if it matters.

Does Ultra Light fishing mean small fish?

This was mentioned as being a misconception about ultra light fishing. I'll be honest, I thought this was kind of the goal, though I've seen the larger fish in the sub pictures. I thought most fish would break 4 pound line, though I know a four pound fish or a two pound fish is a pretty big fish (to me.)

If I'm using my own video editing software like DaVinci, iMovie, or FinalCut, do I need to worry about which camera editing software is better?

I've read several posts that talk about DJI or Insta360 or GoPro editing software being one of the main reasons for one camera over the other. If I am using my own editing software, do I need to really care about that manufacturer's software part? Is the software about more than editing (for YouTube if that matters)?

Do all jon boats leak?

I saw a video where the guy said all jon boats leak...a little. He didn't mean they sink or are bad, just that that's the way it is. They get water in them from the rivets no matter what.

Why do y'all need to stand and fish from your kayak?

I'll admit it. I'm a horrible fisherman, so I don't understand, but why does everyone want to stand up in their kayak to fish? I see that on regular boats now that I think of it. Is it better casting?

Which camera for a fishing YouTube channel should I get? I'm in the sun, so I'm worried about overheating.

And it will be strapped to my body, so I think that affects airflow.

If a kayak doesn't have that flat back with the four bolts (or places for them, not just a squared side) does that mean they really didn't design it for a motor?

Some kayaks have the flat, mountable area and say motor friendly, ready, the four bolts area, not just a squared back. Everything else looks like people are hacking it and the manufacturer didn't really mean for it. I don't mean that as a slight. That's just what it looks like. Bonafide, for example, have that and look motor ready. The Crescent Primo does too, and the website says it. Something like the Lite Tackle I or 2 doesn't and mention power pole or Torqueedo (not just any trolling motor).

I was considering a kayak for motoring, but Im thinking I might should stick with ones intended for that. The others work. I've seen them all online just like you.

Only an observation.

Is a Shakespeare GX220 and UglyStik GX2 an Ultralight rig?

Does that combo count as ultralight or are they smaller than that?

Edit: I didn't search quick enough on the UglyStik, so I have to look if it says ultralight, but I didn't find much on the reel. Sorry about that.

Is the Zebco Micro Spincast from Walmart ok? What rod?

I'm not totally worried about the money part. I mean I can either afford it or not. But, is that reel ok for "real" UltraLite fishing? What rod? I read use a longer rid. I don't have to get the rod from Walmart. I guess not the reel. Somebody gave me a gift card for there is all. Thanks.

Would I have to change the line on the Zebco if that reel is on?

Do any of you with larger kayaks dislike big flatwater?

I'm starting to think I don't like big flatwater with bigger kayaks. I mean bigger 11' or bigger. Is that why so many of you get motors and pedals? It's kind of boring and a lot of paddling for a large area, even smaller 100 acre lakes can take a while. I have a Crescent Lite Tackle I, and it paddles nice, but the water is kind, well, boring. I was in a river a bit back, Old Town Malibu, and it was a lot more fun. I tried the UltraLite on flatwater and it was more fun.

How can I make a kayak SOT DIY hatch cover, if I lost mine, and I can't get another one from the manufacturer?

Round hatch cover 8-10" across. What can I do, if I can't get a new one? What is something you've done besides 3D print one. Flat water lakes to lazy river maybe Class I or I if the river has that. Thanks for help. It's for a sit-on-top.

How much maneuverability do you really need for a river with Class I, Ii, and flat water?

I've read 10' is better for maneuverability and 12' is better for tracking and performance. But, then I read all these people that take them both in both kinds of water and say they're great, been using them for years.

Do I really need that much ability to turn on a dime in a river? I was on a lazy river with a 12+ boat, tandem, and had no issues. It was slower to turn because of the length, weight of two people, etc., but nothing beyond control.

And does a performant, if there is such a thing, 10' kayak really that hard to paddle over distance?

People are all over the place on this. I'm afraid if I buy a ten foot boat and put it on a lake it's insane, and if I put a twelve on a creek, the rapids will destroy me. That's exaggerating but man it's so confusing.
