Felt like fate, checking Instagram randomly as I was going through the gates, and seeing the announcement. What an absolutely astonishingly good set, and ROBERT SMITH!!!

What a show. I canned off seeing Gorillaz to see KL and they didn't disappoint. Body's absolutely battered but well worth it.

Honestly, a little disappointing. I've been waiting years to see him, and this just didn't feel like the right setting. A massive auditorium really killed the effect that his art should have: in-your-face, violent, abrasiveness.

I've never seen so many people leaving an artist's set. A constant, steady flow of people just bailing. I can't imagine what they thought they'd be seeing?

The AI visuals suck. There's no other way around it. I love the artistry of Merzbow, but not the AI. There's no excusing it, and despite his obsession with it, the vast majority of his fans cannot stand it.

I think this confirmed to me that Merzbow must be experienced in a small, intimate venue— not a pop festival auditorium. The London shows looked fantastic.

Live at Fortress Fest, Scarborough, England. Never thought I'd see the day. It translates live SO well. What an absolute honour!

Opted to stand at the very back because 90% of this audience is shorter than 6' and it's nice actually having a wall to lean on.

Leeds Boom on Friday and Incineration Fest in London yesterday. Incredible band, deserve a lot more love. Of all the Entombedcore bands, they're easily one of my favourites.

I was chatting to Mark on Friday and he said they're currently recording LP3 and are hoping for a late summer release. Really excited to hear what comes next. The nicest dude— made a point of coming up to me before their set yesterday and said "it's good to see your face again" after recognising me from the night before.
