📢 Announcement: Please Use Modmail for Official Communication (No DMs)

Hey everyone,

As our community continues to grow, we want to ensure that all your queries, issues, and reports are handled as efficiently and fairly as possible. To help us do that, please use Modmail for all official subreddit communication.

Moving forward, individual direct messages (DMs) or chat requests sent to moderators will not be entertained or answered.

Why are we implementing this?

  • Team Visibility: When you send a Modmail, the entire moderation team can see it. If one moderator is busy or offline, another can step in and help you right away. If you DM a single mod, your message might sit unread for days.
  • Accountability & Consistency: Modmail archives our conversations. This ensures that actions are documented, decisions are consistent, and multiple mods can review a complex situation if needed.
  • Work-Life Balance & Boundary: Our moderators are volunteers who give up their free time to keep this community running. Keeping subreddit business out of our personal inboxes helps prevent burnout and ensures we can maintain a healthy boundary.

How to reach us:

You can easily contact us by clicking the "Message the Mods" button on the sidebar (on desktop) or by navigating to the "About" tab and clicking the envelope icon (on mobile). Alternatively, you can just click HERE to message the team directly.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep this community organized and awesome!

⚠️ Reminder: Trade Confirmation Rules & Bulk Trades ⚠️

Hello Folks,

This is a quick reminder regarding the trade confirmation process. To ensure you receive your flair updates and to keep the community safe, please remember that all completed trades must be confirmed in the official monthly thread.

We have noticed confusion regarding how to log trades involving multiple items. To ensure our flair system remains meaningful and accurately represents a user's reliability and experience, we are enforcing strict guidelines on how trades are counted.

Please follow these exact rules when confirming transactions:

  • Bulk Purchases Count as One Trade: If you buy multiple items from a user in one transaction (e.g., someone is selling ten vouchers worth Rs. 100 and you buy all of them or someone sold all rupay select benefits to one person), this counts as 1 trade. Do not separate a bulk purchase into multiple trade comments if it happens on the same day.
  • Same Item, Same Day: You cannot log multiple trades for exchanging the same item with the same user on the same calendar day under different post. This will be consolidated into 1 trade.
  • Same Post, Same Traders: Two specific users can only confirm a trade with each other once per deal post. If you conduct a completely separate transaction with that same user in the future, it must originate from a new, distinct deal post.

Listing a single transaction of ten vouchers as "ten trades" inflates flair numbers and defeats the purpose of the reputation system. Allowing this makes it easy for bad actors to manipulate their flair and appear more experienced than they are.

We have updated the bot to implement stricter checks for these conditions moving forward. Attempting to bypass these rules to artificially inflate your trade count will be flagged as flair manipulation and action will be taken according to our infraction system.

Thanks for your cooperation and happy trading.

P.S. If it all feels too confusing feel free to leave a comment or shoot us a modmail.

Chaos at Airport as Passenger Misses Indigo Flight; Airline Clarifies & Issues a Statement

A passenger identified as sweetyy8929 shared a reel on Instagram after allegedly missing an IndiGo flight, following which the airline released an official clarification. According to the airline, the passenger reportedly arrived at the check-in counter after it had closed, which is scheduled to shut 60 minutes before departure as per airline rules.

IndiGo stated that its airport team helped the passenger by arranging a seat on the next available flight at minimal charges. However, the airline further claimed that the passenger also missed the rescheduled flight after reaching the boarding gate post the closure time, which is 25 minutes before departure. The airline added that staff provided the “best possible assistance” and advised travellers to arrive at airports well in advance to avoid such situations.

Jansunwai Portal Works - Everyone should do their bit and file civil complaints there

So i earlier used to file complaints using the One Lucknow App, that hardly used to work and complaint used to get resolved without me getting any resolutions, calls or anything.

Recently started filing complaints through the Jansunwai portal and the process is smooth and i always get a resolution. Mostly its about them taking the complaint and analysing it and saying they will complete the works once they have enough funds. I thought it was bullshit but one of them did get worked upon and road was repaired. The same road that was in a bad condition for over 4-5 years. So the portal does work and we should all complaint in order to make the city better. Atleast go through your locality and see what needs fixing, raise a complaint and see if it works. Its the least we can do.

If you’re visiting Japan and need reliable internet, here are the main options I looked into for my trip which I think might be useful. Generally most e-SIMs & Physical SIM should work just fine as most utilise the networks from major telecom companies. On an average it would cost you around ₹2k-₹2.5k depending upon your trip length and data usage.

1. e-SIM

2. Physical SIM

3. Japanese Phone Number

  • Generally you won't need a Japanese Phone Number, most apps you'll use will also work with your Indian Phone number.
  • To get a Japanese phone number, you are generally required to be a Japanese citizen/resident and have such things as a Japanese address and bank account. There are a couple of alternatives though for the same.
  • Options:
    • Mobal offers SIMs with Japanese phone numbers.

4. Public WiFi

  • Japan has WiFi at almost all airports, train stations, Starbucks, McDonald’s, etc. Even some buses have WiFi inside them.
  • Not reliable for full trips - often requires sign-up, sometimes even a Japanese phone number.

5. Which Operator is Best?

  • NTT Docomo – Best rural coverage. Safest choice if traveling outside major cities.
  • KDDI – Best all-rounder. Strong in cities and suburbs, reliable for mixed itineraries (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Fukuoka + regional travel).
  • SoftBank – Fastest speeds in urban areas. Great for heavy data users staying mainly in Tokyo/Osaka.

General Tips

  • Make sure your phone supports the SIM before buying. If you're buying from a store physically they will help you out.
  • eSIM is the most hassle-free if supported. A lot of times, Klook will give you free e-SIMs as well for booking activities. Just get whatever is the cheapest according to your trip locations.
  • Physical SIMs are easy to grab at airports or electronics stores like BIC/Yodobashi. SIMs are generally more expensive at the airports.
  • Indigo is currently running a 50% off on Sightseeing offer, which includes e-SIMs as well. Do check it out. Link: https://www.goindigo.in/sightseeing/details/KDDI-Japan-5G-Unlimited-Data-eSIM-:-Powered-by-Frewie/427449P374.html
