Trifecta and California Smog
Anyone running Trifecta that got smogged recently? Did you flash back to stock before smog? Not sure if it's needed.

Well, finally happened. About 4:30 today, went by a man in his 50's, wife (partner) and off leash dog taking up the whole trail. Called "coming up". Didn't say a word about the dog, just shook my head as I went past. He started yelling that I was dangerous and needed to slow down. I stopped to have a conversation about him taking ownership of his off leash dog rather than doubling down with making the issue about me. I straddled my bike and he charged at me and pushed me over. I got up and swung at him a couple of times while explaining to him that he was in a park, fighting a bicyclist over his off leash dog and how sad he was. This seemed to have resonated somewhat or maybe he realized how he looked to his wife or partner. I normally carry pepper spray in my internal storage compartment (in case someone tries to steal my bike), but going on a long trip to Lost Sierra's and took it out for bike repair stuff. Wish I had it...
Anyway, will file a police report. I am looking for a white male in his 50's. He was wearing a white pristine t-shirt (undershirt), jeans, expensive rimless glasses and a small black/brown dog named Piper. Dog was jumping on me and he called "Piper" off, which is why I know the dog name. He was about 6 feet tall, 190-200 lbs, muscular in that 50 year old I take roids kind of way.
Be careful out there...
Originally was flying SFO to BCN, but friends moved from France to Italy. So, scrambled and now flying SFO to MXP. We were Club World and now Club Suite. So, I guess that will be better?
Regardless, have a 1.5 hour transition from LHR to MXP. Depending on the SFO to LHR flight, might be tight connection. Does anyone know where business class off loads on the 777 plane from SFO? Trying to decide on seats. We want to be off quickly to make the 20 minute door closure to MXP.
Friends moved. So had to move Award flight. Only way to make it work was to cancel and rebook. Paid my cancellation fee. Called Cathay and woman was helpful. Waiting on Cathay to put back the miles. They are holding a BA flight for 24 hours. They said they would "expedite" the refund. Anyone get their miles back quickly or am I waiting days for this to really happen even with the "expedite"? Thank you

Ride in Joaquin Miller tonight.
Two woman walkers with two dogs off leash. I call out, they move and then yell to watch out for their dogs that are off leash. I let her know that dogs need to be on leash at Joaquin Miller.
Her... no they don't.
Me... Yes, every entrance says that they do.
Her... well you need to slow down.
Sinawik Trail, little singletrack section. I see a biker with two dogs head down the trail. I don't feel like dealing with him, so wait for a good bit before heading down the trail. Apparently I should have waited longer cause he can't ride I guess... Catch up to him (tie dye shirt, gauges in ears, hope you see this douche) and dogs in front of him and then he gets in front of his dogs and then dogs hold me up from getting any speed.
Me... not cool
Him... what?
Me... its hard enough getting hikers to leash their dogs and you make it worse being a biker with two off leash dogs in a on leash park.
Him... its not a problem, there's no problem
Me... I'm telling you there is a problem, your dogs held up my ride.
Is it a generational thing? When did we stop being able to own that we are wrong?
Leave your dogs at home mountain bikers, unless you're on some remote trail. There is no way for you to control your dogs while riding.
RANT OVER
Taking the year off from Ikon and going to travel ski. Because of this, you should all expect a big year at Palisades:-) Spending a couple of weeks in February at Ischgl and then St Anton. Thinking about leaving skis at home and renting. Ski diamonds and double diamonds, so want something decent. Any suggestions on where best to rent? Or, should I just hump around my with my skis??
I'm passing #4 ground for 200 amp service from main panel, though a sub panel (raceway) to a hybrid solar inverter. Then back to the sub panel. Can I terminate the ground in the sub panel and then pass it though to the hybrid inverter? Or, does the ground need to pass from the main through the same raceways to the hybrid inverter and terminate. Then pass from the hybrid inverter bus bar to the sub panel ground bus bar?
So, sequence is 200a main disconnect, hybrid inverter, 200a sub panel. Sub panel is being used as a raceway for 2/0 copper on its way to inverter. Then 2/0 is coming back from inverter to sub panel.
Thinking of heading up to Jackson Demo for a couple of days in week or so and have never been there. I will try and camp out. Looks like Camp One is going to be closed, so need to camp around Camp 20, Big River area. I want to hit Endo, Oh No, Boiler area for mountain biking. Anyone know if you can get from Camp 20 area over to the Endo, Oh No area without driving all the way around Route 20 to Route 1 and back into Jackson Demo? I have a pretty beefy 4x4 if that makes any difference. Google is telling me an hour and 15 minutes to get from campground to mountain biking. I am looking at the JDF map and Trailforks and looks like there is a road 408. Would that go from top to bottom and be open? Thanks!
Looking for a ride between Quincy and Sierra City for tomorrow. Suggestions?
Did Downieville yesterday and riding South Park today. We were supposed to go to Mendocino and ride Jackson Demo Forest, but it's raining... So a little unprepared for this trip.
We have a week long trip in August riding Susanville, Mt Hough, Mills Peak, Nevada City and Downieville.
So, trying to do something different than August.
Appreciate any thoughts.
Flying late January with spouse. Should I reserve seats or wait in hopes that they update to Club Suites? If I'm going to stare at someone, I guess I would prefer it be my spouse.
