I’m a pretty seasoned Porsche technician with all but one of their EV certifications and i was helping a friend with their Tesla (some suspension work) and from what i hear there are not that many independent shops that work on Teslas? Given that i’m HV certified and Tesla repair manuals are all on their website is this something i should consider?
Does anyone have any diagnostic experience they can share, like how difficult is it to determine the casual failed HV part like bad converter, bad distributor, etc?
Is their scanner/tester reasonably accessible?
Just about 6 years into my career as a Mechanic, I attended UTI and went through Porsche’s PTAP program that they offer through UTI. I moved 4 hours away from home in 2022 for the job and moved 7 hours away again in 2025 for another dealership. 2026’s estimate includes a few dollars raise hence the estimated increase, but realistically i won’t make much more than this for the next 10-15 years without a significant career change.
I’m always considering career change options but i feel nothing will make me more than this at this point in my life.
Hey all, huge hockey fan wondering about local hockey clubs/“beer leagues”. I’m in my mid twenties and i used to play goalie when i was 10-13, but really i’d just love to hop on the ice and screw around with a stick and puck during a practice session or something. Wondering if anybody knows any way i can do that?
I may even be interested in returning to goaltending in the future, but for now i just wanna skate/goof around with a stick/puck on the ice
Edit: Apparently what i was looking for is a “stick and puck” session held at many local rinks at varying times. Need full hockey gear to attend so i know what i’m doing now!
Can anybody recommend me a TPMS tool that can program Bosch sensors for under $500? Or even a Scan tool/TPMS combo that can do it for like $1500?
