Another 'What Episode Was That Tales From The Shop Floor' request...
Looking for the one that Eli is convinced is fake where a man was huffing the smell of his coworkers doing shits at work?

I've really got back into writing TMA fic over the last few months and I'm regretting never getting the chance to participate in one of the many gift fic exchanges a few years ago when the fandom was really popping off.
Anybody know of any that are going on at the moment? Searching Tumblr only seems to bring up ones from last year that are already over and I definitely do not have the time or the reach to try and run one myself.
...had somebody poking a spoon with a face drawn on it up through the floor when somebody was on the toilet?
And which episode?
Cheers
Keep getting this moment from a film in my head. I think it was a kid's film, possibly Disney, but I can literally only remember the voice line and not which character it was.
I believe it was a male character. Not sure if bad guy or good guy, but I'm guessing a good guy because iirc the context was that they were defending something that might have seemed a little radical for the time period the film was set in by saying people should accept it because "this is the (insert number from the past)th century!".
It was definitely a medieval type setting iirc but I can't quite remember the exact number century in the quote. I keep going to 13th but I don't know if that's right.
I'm a week out from TFMR. Much loved much wanted little boy with a condition incompatible with life. I was only 16 weeks so hadn't felt him kick or move yet but I felt such comfort knowing he was in there. Now I feel so empty.
This was my first pregnancy. I got pregnant first cycle properly trying which on one hand feels so lucky but it had taken me five years to get my cycle regulated as I have PCOS and wasn't ovulating at all in that time.
I've been told that most likely my baby's NTD condition was a one off fluke but I'm choosing to do placenta/cord testing and a post mortem of my baby to see if there's any chance of recurrence.
The post mortem results can take up to six months. I feel like I can't allow myself to try again before they come back. My worst fear is this happening again.
But I hate the thought of waiting for so long. I miss knowing I was pregnant and making plans. I feel so alone. I'm a solo parent by choice who used a donor so I don't even have a partner to go through this with me.
I don't have any LC, this was my first pregnancy. I live with my best friends (same age as me) who have a toddler and are talking about trying for their second. I don't know what I'd do if they got pregnant before I do.
I'm also transgender (a trans man) who has halted all of my transition to TTC. I stopped all treatment in 2021 and I'm also off most of my pain meds for chronic pain because they aren't safe in pregnancy. I didn't mind doing all of that for the chance of being a parent but the timeline is getting longer and longer and I'm only getting older and I feel like I can't live my life until I have my baby. I feel like I'm just waiting for them to be here so I can be complete.
I feel like I've been waiting for so long already. How do I factor in a six month delay on top of all of this?
Anybody else going to Wembley on the 10th hyped to see Joan Jett open? I wouldn't say I have a ton of knowledge about all her music but she's an absolute icon and I'm v excited to see her live.
What songs are we hoping for? I'm assuming there's going to be the classics even a casual fan like me knows (Bad Reputation, I Love Rock n Roll, Cherry Bomb), but what else do you think we're likely to see?
I'm J, I'm in my 30s and looking for 21+ partners for a The Magnus Archives roleplay! (TMA only- I'm not up to date on The Magnus Protocol).
I've fallen back into this fandom hard and have been getting back into RPing for it. I've been RPing on and off for over 15 years and tend to be most comfortable with multi para writing.
Since it's a horror fandom I do enjoy some horror and darker themes, angst, etc. Tend to gravitate towards the more toxic relationships because I love drama but that's not a prerequisite!
CC x CC only. I've written a lot of the main characters (and various side characters!) before and love exploring niche plots and rarepairs but I'm always very weak for JonElias, JonTim, LonelyEyes and Jonah/most Regency boys. I also love writing Gerry. Usually go for MxM but not exclusively, am also v trans headcanon friendly.

So I've heard of brands/companies having legal battles because another company started using the exact same slogan as them. But what if it was a slogan the company didn't use anymore, would it still be protected?
For example, Taco Bell no longer uses "think outside the bun". If a different restaurant used it would there be issues? Does it matter how long the slogan has been out of use for or how much brand recognition it has?
So yesterday I went to see the specialists at the fetal medicine unit who confirmed my baby's diagnosis: large encephalocele with spina bifida. Miscarriage/stillbirth likely, if they did survive being born I would be looking at palliative care and a baby who would die within likely days.
In a way that made the decision easier. I don't want to risk them being in pain for the entirety of their short life. So I've chosen to TFMR and I think I'm going to go down the medical route so that I can still meet them and have the body for burial.
For various reasons I'm probably not going to actually do the procedure for a few more weeks, mainly because it's just not a good time for me to be in hospital and recovering from something like that right now whereas in a few weeks I can have more support.
How do you deal with the waiting?
Hey, I've had my booking appointment but no other midwife appointments as of yet/no scan yet either.
Wondering at what point you find out if you're being tested for GD? My one risk factor is that I have PCOS so I'm a little concerned that's been overlooked as I don't have any of the others on the list. Should I have been told at the booking appointment if I'm getting one?
(Also do you automatically get one if you do have PCOS? It does seem like I should since it affects my insulin but I only sometimes see it given on lists of risk factors!)
I keep getting adverts for the Globe's Pride collection and many of their designs heavily feature the phrase "to thine own self be true". On one hand I'm tempted because, I am queer, and Hamlet is my favourite play.
But also like. It's one of those phrases that I feel is deeply ironic because Polonius absolutely didn't actually mean for Laertes to go out and be himself. He'd just spent five minutes telling him exactly what kind of man to be and then immediately starts spying on him!
I guess reclaiming phrases from shitty dads is kind of par for the course but I fear I would overthink this too much to be able to wear it proudly.
Very curious as to what other people think though? I definitely don't think it's as egregious as some other literary quotes being taken out of context (eg people wearing Mr Collins quotes from Pride and Prejudice being the one that springs to mind). It's at least good advice even if Polonius for sure didn't actually mean it!
So I went for an early scan for reassurance after some light bleeding. Tech said all is well, detected strong heartbeat, but she measured at 8 wk 2 days whereas I'm fairly sure I should be at 9 wks (I'm pretty certain when I ovulated and I calculate from that since I have longer cycles and if I went from LMP I'd be 9 wks + 4 which seems way off). She said that's nothing to worry about and it's hard to be sure at this stage.
I'm still worrying quite a lot lol so am here for any more reassurance! Anybody else measured a little behind but everything turned out okay?
Please no stories about negative outcomes, I've seen plenty of those searching Reddit about this.
EDIT: it was an abdominal scan if that makes a difference, she said she saw no need to do vaginal which was somewhat reassuring.
