What do you use to film your climbs?

Might seem like a redundant question but I've been unsatisfied with all the ways I film myself and can't find something that ticks every box. Other people move too much, I actually prefer the steady zoomed out tripod look, but I do ask others to film me when I need the extra motivation to finish a hard climb like when I'm projecting. Tripods are bulky but in terms of angle and videos they produce the best output. Portable tripods like the magsafe ones like Ulanzi Ma38 have almost tripod like output, but fail in the variety of places I could place the tripod on. I can't place these on the bouldering mat, they aren't stable enough, I pretty much need hard floor or a chair which I might as well use my chalkbag to lean my phone on which is actually my most used method, but has the worst output and has the biggest tendency to fall or get a really bad angle. It's hard to see the angle I'm capturing when I place it on the chalkbag. A hidden downside is actually that people don't realize I'm filming which has caused many climbs to go u filmed.

Oh yeah portable tripods and chalk bags also suffer from having the worst vertical angles so I have to take it from a distance, making me have to spend extra effort to change my seat just to get a better angle. Plus there's no way to film tall climbs like top rope/lead. Also I know it's the perfect solution, but I'm not gonna ask my friends to film it steadily like a tripod. It just feels wrong, or it makes them less willing to film because of that added effort.

Do you go to the cinema?

I just wait for movies to release digitally, been enjoying them way more, having freedom in how I watch them, not having to pay for tickets.

Neoreader Annotations that don't turn to text?

After highlighting a text, I handwrite notes, but instead of turning into text, it stays as what I wrote. Like Annotations, I can close and open the box by tapping the highlight. Usually my books don't have enough space.

How do you deal with misandry while learning about feminism

It's no surprise learning about feminism is tiring because of everyday misandry. So many things make me want to just become a red pill, antifeminist type, but I know it's wrong. Or the idea that we don't have to do anything so long as we aren't "one of the bad guys", we can just sit back ignore all these issues because what has learning about them ever done for us? It is genuinely hard, and feminists will ignore your lived experiences, show their bigotry, whole claiming to be part of anti sexism, tell you to "shut up and listen if you want to learn", telling you you're evil for existing, that you were never a victim actually, all your lives experiences are actually your fault. They use the same logic racists use, but somehow it's justified when they do it. You will see feminists claim to care about men's issues, but all they end up saying is "oh actually men suffer because of men, so fuck you". They rightfully point at the harmful minority, but don't want to acknowledge that their solution isn't to deal with the harmful minority but the majority of men who mind their own business. They don't see how this is zexist, but we have to accept their movement whether we like it or not because they actually have social power, which is something that statistics can't pick up and goes against the whole "misandry is disproportionate to misogyny" thing

All of this makes me wonder why I care, why I enter cycles of trying, quitting and then something triggers my return to learning, only to find out things haven't changed and learning will never get better. You are hated for being male, and you will receive the brunt of it trying to learn feminism.

What keeps any of you motivated to be feminists (in the true sense of anti-sexism) when it is genuinely so hard?

Is The Empathy Gap Book by William Collins good?

Having finished Feminism Is For Everybody, I am looking for a male perspective book about anti-sexism/feminism. This book was recommended by someone else to talk about men's issues while not being some red pill nonsense, but it's really long, and unpopular. Searching the book I get like 1 or 2 posts, while Feminism For Everybody is a super well known and recommended book, so I'm not sure if this is a good book to go deeper. Is there a shorter version of The Empathy Gap?

Reading bell hooks made me realize feminists are indeed misandrist because she is supposed to be the feminist that also talks about male issues is supposed to be intersectional, yet I got this feeling of held back misandry and she was dismissive of men's issues, and only talked about the same old narrative of patriarchy is harmful to men too, yet offering no alternative. At least she mentions the movement providing criticism but no real alternative, but she was talking about race and class, while not being self aware to realize she is doing the same thing to male issues. We're somehow supposed to follow along their narrative while feminists claim not to be anti-male while spouting "Not all men, but always a man" sexism that racists would blush at if they used that logic.

Any scanners in NUS?

I know there are printers and photocopiers, but I'm looking to scan many papers to save them digitally (like pdf or png or any format), so I can throw away the physical books. Also some of them are personal like journals so I don't want any of the scanned things to remain in the scanner after I'm done with it.

Any downsides to Rework Toshi 20l

I've seen many reviews, tried in the store, it's just super expensive for me, so I really want to get input on any potential downsides it has. It really seems like my perfect bag.

How do I backup notebooklm notebooks

My free Google One subscription is ending tomorrow, so I want to backup my notebooklm notebooks, and restore them when I go to school in one month where I can get the free Google One again. Do I even need to do this, or will my notebooks get saved somewhere on their own, and I get them back when I subscribe again?

Thin, light 16'' Premium build, but with any performance

I'm looking at $1000-$2000 in Singapore.
I'm primarily a linux user, dual booting with windows. That's really the main reason I'm not buying a used macbook or something like that. I mainly need a laptop with good feel, build, trackpad but most laptops with these are super expensive because they come with beefy processors which I don't need. I just need a decent chip that doesn't come with a killer price. Good battery is nice, but not necessary, I don't mind spending more for these features as long as the difference is not too much. I'm not gaming.

Are Waterfront comparable to Davek/Blunt/Repel?

I've been shopping for an umbrella recently, I really like the Blunt Metro, but the diameter seems too small. Davek looks coolest but is too heavy. Repel seems like the only one worth the price, and is lighter and smaller than Blunt, with larger diameter. So I was originally going for the Repel, but in my country there is a local brand called Waterfront, which seems to have specs that are very similar to Repel, but they are slightly cheaper since I won't have to deal with shipping and tax. (I can only buy the others from Amazon)

I couldn't find any reviews (that aren't on their platform, which I never trust). I'm likely going to order both and go by feel to see if the quality feels good, but with umbrellas you can never tell.

I'm looking for barefoot sandals to replace my flip fops, but I don't understand how some like the Shamma Super Goats can cost so much. My $2 flip flops have lasted me 10 years, durability isn't the reason. US labor and eco friendliness? We all know that's just a scam to justify prices, otherwise these startups couldn't get a profit. They know it's a niche market and those looking for good barefoot sandals won't have other options.

Alright, complaints aside, I'm really looking for the cheapest way to get barefoot sandals with the strap that doesn't make it flip flop.

This one I'm not sure how to claim, but my first dose I got from A&E, got covered by 11b. 2nd dose was at TTSH Travellers Health and Vaccination, but the Dr/Nurse told me 11b isn't covered at the clinic which is confusing as I thought TTSH should be government, but I guess some parts of it isn't? Anyway is there anywhere I can submit this to hopefully claim the 11b, even if unlikely I still want to try no harm. I still haven't paid as it's online payment.
