How long until I can walk into a gunshow and pay cash for a private-sale suppressor with zero paperwork?

So a couple times a year I check the job market in my field and throw out a couple feeler applications. I’m pretty happy with my current job but I don’t want to get too flat footed.

An out of state job that I applied for over the weekend just call my current boss for a reference check. The boss seemingly called me shortly thereafter and I let it go to voicemail.

He said:

> Um, calling to touch base with you. I uh want to make sure everything's okay. Uh, make sure you’re planning on coming back. Uh, got word from [new employer] that you were, were looking at something up there, and I want to see 1st if I can support you in anyway, but also, um, just to see what's going on and uh, make sure everything's all right.

I don’t really expect to hear back from the potential new employer. How do I maximize this leverage this with my current boss when I call him back?

I have several 19(?) round Mac-Gar magazines for my SP-01 and I don't like the way it looks with extension under the grip; I'd much prefer the base to be flat at the end of the grip at the cost of a few extra bullets. I see that Mac-Gar sells the "plus 2" extension as an upgrade part but am struggling to find the reverse - just a flat butt plate, that I could swap onto my existing mags. Am I missing something or is my Google-Fu just weak today?
