My poop bag holder end game
After 5+ iterations, I think I’ve finally reached end game for my poop bag holder. Now all that’s left to do is wait and see how durable it is.

I was in need of some more filament storage and was disappointed at how much plastic a lot of designs on Makerworld used. My goals were to minimize printed parts, reuse materials I already owned, and allow spool storage across the entire width. I’ve collected a bundle of these wooden rods in various lengths over the years and was finally able to utilize them! Although it really just reinforced my habitual material hoarding.
My fiancée sewed these curtains for my office and I wanted a clean organic modern style loop to hold them back. I modeled this in like 20 minutes and it worked on the first attempt. Doesn’t get much better than that.
I’m trying to decide between a hardware kit and another gift card. Has anyone here gotten a hardware kit? What did you think? How’s the quality of the components? Was it worth it?
Check out this quick release fire extinguisher mount for the ROPS bar that I just finished up. I received a few requests for one of these when I shared my previous ROPS accessories and am pretty happy with how it turned out! Uses a 1/4” pin that makes it super easy to pull the fire extinguisher off. As usual, the files have been uploaded to makerworld and are free to use.
Lastly, I wanted to share a few pictures of the production version that I’m working on! I’d love to hear what you think of the production version.
Last week I posted my clamp-on ROPS mount system. I’ve finished two more accessories since, so here’s the update.
First is a cup holder, sized for the big bottles — 88mm diameter, so a 32oz Owala, 30oz Stanley, or wide-mouth Hydro Flask drop in. Deep pocket so it doesn’t eject on rough ground and a drain hole so it doesn’t become a rain gauge. Same deal as everything else in the system, bolts to the base mount with two M6 bolts and a 10mm wrench.
Second is a canvas bag mount. Two printed plates sandwich a Klein 5416 bolt bag and bolt it to the mount — instant storage for loose hardware, gloves, zip ties, shear pins, whatever currently lives on your floor pan. You do have to make two small slits in the canvas, but the plates clamp the fabric on both sides so it can’t tear or sag. Will probably work with most flat-back belt bags, not just the Klein.
Available for 1.5”×3”, 2”x2”, and 2”×3” ROPS. If your machine runs a different size, drop the year/make/model and measurements in the comments and I’ll add it to the queue.
Full disclosure: I’m working toward a production version (carbon-fiber materials, stainless hardware, rubber liners, pre-assembled) for folks without printers — hardpointmfg.com if you want a heads-up when that exists. The printable files stay free either way.
Also kicking around ideas for what’s next — fire extinguisher bracket, light bar mount, GMRS antenna mount, a better long-tool cradle. Open to suggestions.
Built this to fit a BX23S ROPS bar. Most mounts you find are single-purpose, you pick one thing (phone, hook, light) and that’s what you’re stuck with. This one uses a standard 50mm stud pattern, so you can build out exactly the combination of attachments you actually want instead of settling for whatever one mount happens to offer.
It’s a two-piece 3D-printed clamp that bolts around the ROPS tube, no drilling into the frame. Right now I’ve got a phone mount, shovel hook, and jacket/strap hook designed, and you can run any combination of them (or just one) depending on what you actually use out there.
I’ve got a phone mount, shovel hook, and jacket hook already designed. Tell me if there’s a specific attachment you want, it helps me figure out what to make next.
Always bugged me that most ball mounts are printed as one solid piece, standing straight up. It looks clean, but the layer lines end up perpendicular to the actual load. First real side load and it snaps right at the neck.
So I split mine into separate pieces so each one can be oriented for strength instead of looks. Neck gets printed so the layers line up with the load, base prints flat with embedded magnets. Assembles with press-fit pins and a dab of super glue.
The ball is 1" diameter so it works with any RAM-style arm you already have. 3 magnets in the base, plenty strong for a phone/tablet mount on any steel surface.
I designed these collapsible rod holders that would save space in my tackle box. Super pleased with how they turned out! They worked perfectly in the soft shore mud.
I’ve played around with trying to water proof prints in the past and it’s always annoying. It’s the main reason I was procrastinating on printing a mosquito trap. Then I thought of just using a cut plastic bottle as a liner! Super happy with how it turned out and it’s parametric so it can be resized for any bottle. Excited to see what I catch this evening.

Not much to say about this one. It came to me as an idea yesterday afternoon and it made me laugh so I made it! The jewel was the inaugural print on my brand new H2S. Needless to say, it will not stay on my truck and will find it's way into an unsuspecting friend's hitch receiver soon.
Usually, I can find the bright side of things but this brush sucks. Maybe it’s the type of grate I have but it doesn’t clean worth shit.
I didn’t realize tirz was so sensitive but learned from the comments on my last post. Now it’s fully light proof
I'm two weeks in and already got tired of the little vials falling over and rolling around in the fridge door. I spent a few minutes this morning designing and printing out this little vial holder, works great!
