Tymlos

For anyone out there taking Tymlos: when you first started, did you have a nurse show you how to do the injections? My rheumatologist didn't offer, and I didn't think about it until I picked up my prescription and needles at the pharmacy. I'm super nervous. There's a instructional video from the Tymlos people on YouTube showing how to do it. Would any recommend what I should do?

Prolia versus Tymlos

Does anyone know why a rheumatologist would opt for tymlos instead of prolia for osteoporosis? My wife's GP doesn't understand why I wasn't prescribed prolia instead of tymlos. My rheumatologist claims tymlos was needed rather than prolia because of the amount of bone density I have lost.

He says prolia keeps a person stable while tymlos promote new growth of bones. I don't know if he's just in cahoots with the drug company or he genuinely believes I need it.

Flareups

Does anyone sometimes question whether or not they just have a cold virus rather than a gerd episode? The symptoms are so similar and drain me much in the same way as a sinus infection or cold.

I have extreme hoarseness, frequent throat clearing and a lot of phlegm. It started out as just slight burning in my throat. I feel weak from it; it may be just the stress and anxiety brought on by a reoccurrence.

What is so upsetting is that when this happens, I worry about esophageal cancer and throat cancer. Does anyone have these concerns when they have flareups?

Is peanut butter bad for gerd

Is peanut butter a trigger for gerd? I happen to love it, but I saw a poster recently stopped eating because the poster said it was a food you're not supposed to eat if you have gerd. It doesn't cause a flareup for me.

Caused by Medication

I have been taking anitseizure medication for over thirty years. After recently being diagnosed with osteoporosis, I looked up my seizure medications side effects.

Bone loss and osteoporosis is directly related to long-term use. I can not believe my neurologist never said anything. Shouldn't he have known? They do read medical journals to stay current, don't they? This could have been prevented years ago.

Travel Refrigeration

Does anyone know of a travel canister to keep tymlos cold? I often travel to Central America. The injection pen is made by a company named Radius.

Dexlansoprazole

Is anyone taking Dexlansoprazole, and if so do you have side effects such as constipation? I was on pantaprozole, but I developed symptoms a few months later as it wasn't doing its job. Dexlansoprazole is working but the bathroom issue is a concern.

Captain Bill's

Does anyone know if Captain Bill's seafood restaurant in Bayshore is still good? I was there eons ago in my youth. I loved it then, buy I'm not sure if the management is the same.

Looking to move

Does anyone know of some quaint mountain communities in the mountains of South Carolina? I was told about an area where the average temperature was 69° degrees year around with cooler evenings. Unfortunately, the person who told me didn't know exactly where it was.

Applying for retirement benefits

I'm finally ready to hang up my part-time job and fully retire. Do I have to make an appointment online if I want to meet with a social security rep in person?
