How bad are Mid Strip shuttles really?

I’ve done Rio and World Market shuttles, looks like I’ll be staying at one of the Mid Strip hotels this year and have only heard horror stories. Is it really as bad as people say it is?

Trying to get properly shredded is such a crazy process

I’m committed to getting a true sub 10% for the first time ever and wow, there’s quite a few shocking realizations that come from this.

I didn’t realize how fat I was before, I thought my “bulk” (looking back I was just eating whatever I wanted) was mostly muscle. And now looking back, 90% of the weight gained was fat. I’ve lost 25 pounds so far and thought I would be shredded by now, but I’m only just approaching 10% now. Looking at my own photos from the start of the cut, I don’t know wtf I was thinking, a pumped bicep vein and very faint abs made me think I was like 18% bodyfat lol

The other thing is just how much less space I take up. I was posing in the mirror and realized yeah I’m starting to look pretty cool, but WOW I take up considerably less space than I did before. Just a crazy feeling when you think “damn I used to warp space time way more before”

Maybe the weirdest thing is the strength loss - I’ve been getting stronger/maintaining on every single exercise which is great, except for chest. I’ve had a 10% strength drop on all my pressing movements which makes sense but man it was a hard adjustment, I convinced myself I was losing muscle and had a mini binge to “replenish carbs” but I now see it’s just part of the process and inevitable when dieting this much/this long

All in all this is a really crazy process when you look at all the little details

Gyno is killing my self confidence

Completely natural, I took a bulk way too far (30% bodyfat) and dealt with a ton of prolonged stress and developed gyno from it. I’ve been lifting for 10 years but I’m at the point now where I’m too self conscious about my gyno in the gym and in regular clothes to where it’s really discouraging and feels like all my hard work has been wasted. I can’t afford surgery and don’t want it anyway since I’ve read many cases of botched surgeries/gyno coming back even after surgery. Has anyone learned to accept gyno and live with if? Do girls/strangers care?

More pictures for reference - I don’t think these do it justice https://imgur.com/a/5xsthv3

Is my gyno too extreme to compete? Rethinking competing

https://imgur.com/a/5xsthv3

I’ve been lifting for 10 years and was planning to do my first show in 8-12 weeks. However, the leaner I get, the more my gyno pops (pubertal that never went away) and now I’m seriously reconsidering competing. Both from the embarrassment standpoint and how harshly it’s likely judged given that it’s a natural show. Any thoughts?

Brought in 0 business since getting promoted

Need some career advice.

I was an SDR for 1.5 years at a fairly large company selling a highly commoditized product. Most of the meetings I generated came from prospects already evaluating competitors or looking for lower pricing. I got promoted to AM 5 months ago.

Since then, I haven’t brought in a single deal.

The weird part is it’s not from lack of effort. I’ve done 5-10x the outbound activity of most of the other AMs. Meanwhile, the only deals I see moving are referrals, inbound leads, or existing relationships.

The company is chill and nobody is on my case, but I’m starting to lose my mind. I’m working hard, seeing zero results, and questioning whether I’m doing something wrong, whether this is just the reality of selling a commoditized product, or whether I’m simply not cut out for a closing role.

Anyone been through something similar?

How is it even possible to trust someone else again?

I’m struggling with the aftermath of a 5-year relationship that just ended. We were together for three years before getting engaged. Shortly after the engagement, I caught her sending pictures to someone else. I forgave her, but the trust was broken, which led to arguments and a brief breakup.

Determined to make it work, I took all of her complaints to heart and changed everything I could to be a better partner. Instead of appreciation, I caught her sexting a guy who lived 10 minutes away and frequently visited her at work.

I sank into a deep depression and stayed for another two years. For eight months of that time, she continued talking to him while actively degrading me, blaming me for everything wrong in the relationship. Honestly, I’ve blocked out most of that year due to the trauma, but one moment is burned into my brain: I asked to text him from her phone just to confirm they hadn't slept together. She looked at me with pure terror—like I was a home intruder—screamed, and ran to hide in another room with her phone. I'll never forget that look.

I stayed even after that. Things stabilized slightly, and we finally set a delayed wedding date. But recently, I saw she was still hiding messages. I finally walked away.

Through therapy and time, I’ve done a lot of healing. I no longer have low self-worth, and I know I wasn't the problem. But here is what I’m stuck on: I don’t know how to ever trust another human being again. She didn't have obvious red flags in the beginning; she had so many green flags and was my absolute best friend. I poured my entire heart into her.

I cannot imagine being put through this a second time. For those further along in the journey, how do you overcome the fear of a future partner doing the same thing? How do you learn to trust again?

All the good memories, special events, good times, vulnerability, amounted to nothing. I understand there’s good people out there but I have such a pessimistic view of relationships now. I don’t know what to do and I feel like this pure and hopeful goal is completely gone from my life, now that I know how cruel and heartless people that promised you so much can be.

Unpopular opinion: the crowds were fine, you just have to seize the gaps

I got to the rail for Hardwell, John Summit, Subtronics, Seven Lions, and Restricted and there was plenty of room and great vibes up front. Most of the congestion is on the outside/middle of the stage so you just have to look for an opening and politely ask to be let through and you’re good.

I must have asked 100s of people to let us by and only one person said no so I just asked the next person next to him and they let me by lol

We actually had to leave Subtronics 30 mins in and the crowd was going crazy during his set but even with that, I timed it and it took us less than 10 mins to get from the rail to the left side by the bathrooms

Did I get a picture of the Milky Way?

I did a road trip and tried to find a “resort” with little light pollution (I live in NYC so not really familiar with astronomy) and did my best to get a picture of the sky facing where the Milky Way should be. Is this it?

Anyone ever get MORE tired after ending a diet phase?

I’ve been dieting for 16 weeks and went from ~23% bodyfat to ~13%. Toward the end I’ve been having 1700 calories and been feeling really run down so I’m doing a diet break (maintenance calories) for two weeks. I was having 125g carbs daily before and now it’s 350ish and I’m SO MUCH more tired it’s crazy. I’ve been sleeping 10+ hours a night and having to nap daily, this wasn’t happening on my diet.

I generally have more energy and my workouts are a bit better now but wow this is not what I expected from a diet break at all. This is the longest cut I’ve ever done so not sure if this is normal.

Looking to spend 20-30k on a used car with ~20k miles, looking for something decently quick, reliable to ~50k miles (I only drive 3-5k miles a year), decently fun to drive, comfortable, and good sound system (this is a big one). So I’d be looking at a 23’+ 20k miles GLI.

Currently drive a base 2015 Mazda3 so just looking for something that’s a step up from that. Is there anything I should know before getting a GLI? Seems like it’s really good value in this price range

I’m doing a day trip and will be outside of a Bortle 9 for the first time in my life. The place I’m staying is a Bortle 2-3 and I’ll be arriving there around 11 pm. It says there’s a waxing crescent 7% illumination on that day, with a moonrise time of 4:30 am. Can someone please suggest what optimal time I should be outside for naked eye stargazing? I’m really not familiar so tried to include as much info as I could give. Thanks in advance
